Is there some Calendar for new Android Auto?
I would check my events and calendar.
How enable Google Calendar like this image?? I have the last version Android Auto (4.5) and Google Calendar (Google Calendar 6.0.44-259904685).

Well.
Does anyone know about this?
Not sure the exact question here. That shortcut shown just has assistant read your calendar events , no card interface or navi reminders.
I think the problem is system language, here in Brazil I don't have this icon but I can check calendar with voice commands.
It will be useful if someone can enable this (weather icon also)
I am also interested in having the calendar on android car. Try installing again and it does not appear.
This is a regional thingy. If I have my phone on dutch language, the calendar icon does not show.
When I switch to (US) English it does show.
But as mentioned by @sibesaver this icon does not start a calendar app with cards and events. It will just signal Assistant to read out your appointments. Completely useless shortcut, because it is much safer to use voice commands. And those work regardless the language you have set.
Hi,
In Poland we don't have a calendar in AA.
Is it a regional restrictions?

Version 1.3 of my Google Reader widget "Reader Widget Small" is up on the Market and my site. Changelog:
-Loading from cache when network is down fixed
-Dialog box shown when opened from Market after installation (it showed an error message before)
-Small performance tweaks
A quick word on the "Pro" version I'm working on. It can show unread count for a particular tag. Here's all the unread counts for the tags in my Reader account:

All of those are configured independently.
v nice! if only the jf-mod would use 5 workspaces instead of 3...
Any chance clicking on the widget can open an arbitrary app (like Greed, or any of the other Google Reader apps), rather than opening the browser?

Funny you should say that. I've been chatting to one of the Greed devs and they actually suggested the very same thing! They should be able to expose something in Greed to make it possible. I don't know when and if it will happen but I'll keep posting here about it.
Hello,
Not sure if everyone is aware, but Google recently rolled out their OTA-push based Exchange service, which we can definitely implement on our Kaisers/Tilts. It's actually pretty handy, since it lets you sync your contacts, calendar and GMail messages all at once, using Exchange protocols.
Go into ActiveSync, choose "Add Server Source" and enter your GMail address and password, and it should auto-detect pretty much everything else. If asked for a server, enter "m.google.com"
I've found that it works pretty well, and if you set it up it will utilize the "Outlook E-Mail" account in your phone's picker. The only drawback I've found is that it inserted a zillion new contacts into my phone, mostly people I've e-mailed in the past. Dunno how to tell it to be more selective..
It's kinda neat! And it's server-push based, so your phone doesn't have to keep checking periodically.

That is pretty cool.
Cool thing, is there anyone who knows how could we set some contacts on the google to be ignored? So it doesn't insert all emails that google is aware of? I want most of them, but definitely not all, and I guess that if you delete them from the phone later, they will be deleted from the google as well.
Us users, never easy task to make us all happy
Just resharing this.

This software is a personal organizer application.
We designed the application to be as close to a real personal organizer possible, and also to be attractive and practical.
Not only the scheduler but also ToDo can be used.
It corresponds to the Google calendar and the widget.

This is a lot better than the built in Google Calendar app. The month and week views actually show the event names, even though the font is a little small. But it is still very readable and functionally perfect for my needs.
On startup, choose Google Calendar option.
It also comes with a 4x4 monthly view widget and a 4x1 weekly view widget. One small note is that the widget captures your finger swipes, so either have empty space on the same launcher home page or get a widget that isn't as sensitive.
Best of all -> FREE
Download, try it and love it. This was the app that was missing from my phone. Use
I use it the 4x4 widget with the Smooth Calendar widget to take up one whole launcher home page.
If you want better widgets I think everyone here knows about Pure Calendar widget.
Alright, I've changed this before but I just can't remember how...
I have a page that is full of contacts that I access most often. I just recently changed the picture of a contact and, in order to update the pic on the contact shortcut that I made, I had to erase the old shortcut and add a new one after updating the contact pic. When I did this, however, it added a different type of contact icon than what I have set as all the others.
Here's a pic:

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
As you can see, the contact icon in the top middle is completely different than the rest. They used to all pop up like that but I've been able to change it in the past.
I'm running CM7 with Luncher Pro if that helps. I just want all the icons to look the same and I don't like the style that has popped up on there (I believe it's the default Android icon).
Any help is MUCH appreciated!
I'd also like to note that nothing else on my phone has changed since updating to CM7 several months ago and adding Launcher Pro....I was able to create all of the other contact shortcut icons with exactly the same phone setup as I still have.
I'm trying to replace a launcher but this option prevents me. Any way around it?

You need to sign in to the Vivo account in order to be able to change the launcher.

Whoa, that's big! They can just do that? 0_o
I'd just create a dud account with a garbage collecting email address (we all have one, right?). Do other default apps (messaging, phone, etc.) also have this limitation posed on them?
No, just the launcher. I've replaced the default phone app with Google Dialer, the email app with BlueMail, and the messaging app with NextSMS. They work fine as do their notifications. Some third party apps (like Google Messages) won't show a notification in the system tray if the phone is in system wide dark mode (they work in light mode) but that is a different issue from requiring Vivo's permission to replace the launcher, which requires them 'confirming' your account by email or text message by registering and signing into a Vivo account.
