ANDROID Q DP4 "nonout" "when?" "Everything we should know..."
I learned from some information that the android version of q dp4 should be available. the only question is when? on Op7pro is ready. I wonder if it will be so for everyday use as they say about it.
I am opening a thread about the new DP for our OP6T.

LOL that reminds me of the Dave Chappelle skit... "His balls are as smooth as eggs... Yes... Yes I'll suck them." ???
Well the 7/7pro have been out since Friday/announced yesterday... No sign of the 6/6t build.

If I were new to XDA, I wouldn't write "It will be here when it's here". If you want to pull ranks, I was here a decade before you, in days when current top XDA devs were still hacking phones over at ipmart. Along the way I learned the 1st rule of Android development – don't ask for ETAs, junior.

So no more pie betas for OP 6T, they start work on Q

As always: H2OS update > 2-3 days > OOS Update.
Boy, XDA sure has changed since I joined in '07. Back then, it was strictly "no noob" questions or you'd get flamed.
Rules were that you SEARCHED for something before you asked. Now days, you see a lot of questions asked that have
been answered before.

That's what a forum is dude, it's primary intent and purpose is to discuss matters related to a particular topic, it literally takes zero effort for you to overlook something you don't feel like responding to, it takes more effort for you to complain about it.

Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales at HTC, has taken to Twitter to give an update on the recent news that some HTC phones will be skipping Android 4.2.2 and jumping straight to Android 4.3. The quote, in all its 140 character glory:
Lots of questions re 4.3 release for One. We r wrking hard (needs cert) to release 4.3 across all US, Canada skus by end Sept. DNA as well.

Honestly, I posted this so people would stop speculating about the damn thing.

I'll get flamed for this, but here goes...why don't they just make an official press release. Tweeting something off the side does not have much sense of legitimacy.

Hello everyone,
I've been pondering over some project to divert my time on and well recently I've begun to notice the somewhat unorganized mess XDA has become. So I thought of the fabulous idea of creating a new website made strictly for ROMs, Kernels, Rooting, & Unlocking Bootloaders. The website would have separate sections for each device, then differing versions of the device, then for android version, and then finally for type of development. For example AT&T Galaxy S3 CM12 rom would be found under Galaxy S3>AT&T>Lollipop>Roms>Cyanogenmod 12.
Get it? Super organized, super easy to find things.
What do you guys think? Is this something worth investing my time in? Or should I just give u on this little project? Be brutally honest please. After all there is no point on building a website that nobody will ever use.
More steps but easier finds. Nice.
Sounds good, especially if you can get support from xda.
CyanogenMod 11 listed under jellybean ROMs?
Your biggest issue is people dont really leave xda. Developer wise most are keen to stay here because support and friends are here i imagine. Also logistically trying to support even half the phones xda does and have it so organised into just what the phones are compatible with, along with paired Q&A + general threads would be immensely time consuming and would require more than a few people to keep up with the flow. Not even considering user mistakes with roms added in the wrong forum. While it would be a good idea i wouldnt attempt it. The mods are always willing to listen to new ideas to help keep the forums tidy though. Maybe try help out closer to home?

Use the version you develop. Clearly that doesn't exist yet
Same thing every android release. It'll be out after the official release, and source code drops. Don't know how long it will take, but it'll get there. We had a very long wait for 5.0 because of massive changes, not to mention that every time he got it working on one dev version, it was broken as heck on the next dev version, so we just have to wait and see. Hope that explains it well enough. Better than a "When it's ready", or "none" answer everyone always gives.
The Nexus images are now live so I would guess the source won't be far behind it. Can someone comment on the number of changes to ART compared to Lollipop. From the surface it seems that Marshmallow should be 5.2 and not 6.0 but maybe all the changes are under the hood.
It is coming:
rovo89:
"In framework version 74, I have fixed some more incompatibilities which could lead to bootloops or crashes. I assume that most of these crash logs contained the string "Incompatible set properties", which is actually a consequence of previous method verification errors. It's hard to say which ROMs and devices were affected - but flashing the new version shouldn't hurt even if everything looks fine with older versions. If you do notice any issues and are sure that it's not caused by yourself, you have higher chances of getting them fixed if you open a detailed GitHub issue (usually I will need at least a full logcat).
I won't be able to work on Xposed for the next 2-3 weeks - no time for development, support or questions at all. If the rumors I have read are right, I should be ready just in time to start porting Xposed to M."

Remember, the reason why it took so long for an official version for android 5.0 was because lollipop uses ART environment and xposed whas always made for dalvik originally.
So I think it will take less time now.

I haven't been able to find it, only snarky comments from users here about how its obviously not done. I have checked all the stickeys in this forum as well as the development one...
I doubt you will get much info on progress, as users tend to hold any claims against developers... But I would have though there would be something official saying "its in progress" to try and help stop the inquiries.
Oh well, will be a nice surprise when it drops.
