I have an Honor Band 3 connected. It shows calls, messages and calendar events just fine, but it stopped showing alarms.
It used to work (a week ago, maybe 2...) with alarms set in the built-in clock.
There's now an "Alam"-section in the Huawei Wear-app that I'm not sure was there before. If I set an alarm here, it works fine.
Now, a funny thing is, if an alarm (built-in) goes off on the phone, the wrist band is quiet. If I snooze the alarm on the phone, the wrist band tells me I snoozed an alarm...
In Huawei Wear under Notifications management I have selected Clock.
Anyone have any ideas...?

One of the things I like about the Galaxy Gear is the wake up alarm notification, set the alarm on my Note 3 and it triggers the alarm also on the Gear. The vibrate function is a nicer way to wake and you can dismiss or snooze the alarm from the Gear. Just in case my Note battery runs out overnight, I've been trying to get a stand-alone alarm onto the Gear with vibrate function as a backup.
ZDclock - app in Samgsung Gearmanager. Tried but found the alarm trigger on Gear to be very unreliable. it often misses the set time and only triggers when you hit the home button. Wonder is this a refresh issue, often when I hit home button to check time, it momentarily shows an older time before updating to current?
I've also tried the D-Day app which allows you to set alarm reminders but I still get the same issue - alarm often delayed, late or only goes when I switch on screen.
Anyone had similar issues and resolved, or got a working reliable stand-alone alarm app with vibrate on their gear. I've tried with both stock and null rom, same issue.
Hi everyone,
I just bought the watch and I was wondering if there is an application that wake you up with the vibration of the watch.
Almost very bands have this functionnality, it analyses your sleep and wake you up at the best moment.
Do you know if this watch could do it?
Thanks
Sleep as Android claims to have this functionality, but can not figure out how to get it to vibrate on the watch instead of my phone.
Did you try setting an alarm on the watch?

If you set an alarm on the watch, it will vibrate the watch at the alarm time.
Try
"Ok Google
Set an alarm for 8am"
To stop the alarm (as by default it sets it for every day going forward), you'll need
"OK Google
Show alarms"
Hey !
Yes I found out this application couple days ago.
After you sync the app with your watch, it will automaticaly use it to wake you up.
But there is a big delay between the phone and watch.
The vibration on the watch starts 45 second after, and it will decrease time between 2 vibrations.
Hi I was wondering if I was alone on this but ever since the new update, my alarm would not sound (but screen turns on) if the alarm is using either the Snooze or Dismiss 'Side keys behaviour'. The alarm does sound when the side keys behaviour is set to none though! I've tried both using mp3 files and the default ringtones.
Extra details:
I found that using default ringtones will make the alarm sound BUT for only half a second and never again.
Phone is not on silent mode and alarm volume is up.
Phone is up to date, tried restarting but no differences.
edit: I found that the alarm will not sound as long as the global volume slider for alarms is less than or equal to that of the volume slider on the individual set alarm! this is a weird occurrence
edit: scratch that
Thanks for reading!.
Hello there,
having same issues with alarm since 5.1.1 update. Last 4 days alarm worked fine for 2 days, did not work for other 2 days. Screen is lit up, but there is no sound.
Did not really check what causes it, but I have side keys behaviour on dismiss for sure.
Guess I'll try to increase the global volume slider and see what's up.
Thanks for the post!

I've had this problem since day 1 of upgrading to 5.1.1 from 4.4.4.
If I set the side keys action to "none" then everything works just fine, but as you mentioned, if set to dismiss or snooze, then the phone seems to automatically perform the action without me touching it. That's why we only hear the alarm for a split second. I was late to work two days in a row before I figured this out.
Though, what exactly do you mean by the global volume dictates whether or not the alarm will sound? I'm not sure I understood. I may need to try this.

You know when you press the side volume button that dropdown pops up at the top of the screen? If you click the button on the right of that dropdown, you get options to change the volume of Ringtone, Media, and Alarm volume; I called this the global volume. Then in our alarm edit there is a "Alarm volume" slider for each alarm. So I think I found that as long as the individual alarm volume is greater than that global alarm volume setting, the alarm will sound.
Could test this with a quick alarm one minute from now
I caught my bus late twice because of this I thought I was just getting used to my loud neighbour's 5 am parties.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I posted about it nearly 2 weeks ago and got no response. I did a full wipe before upgrading, then re-wiped again, then flashed the US firmware from two different members. Nothing solved the problem. Now I have to use the screen to snooze or cancel the alarm, which is harder to do when you're half-asleep.
The global volume slider thingie works... kind of...
if the global volume slider for alarms is higher than volume slider for specific alarm, it will sound even with side keys behaviour set to dismiss.
However, once the alarm sounds, it sets the global slider to the same level as is the alarm slider that just triggered. This means on the next day alarm won't sound, bcs global and specific alarm sliders are even (and even is not good enough, global just has to be higher).
Cheers

Geeze - that sucks. I can't believe only a hand-full of us have this problem. What's the deal and how can we fix it?
I have a Note 8 Oreo (stock SM-N950F) and a Huawei Watch 2 4G.
I didn't have any problems until recently, but now when I have a missed call phone does not show any notifications in the notification bar, but if I go to recent calls I can see it as missed. The watch rings and shows the call as missed in notifications. The problems started before the upgrade to Oreo, which I did yesterday.
When I disconnect the watch (bluetooth off), missed call notifications are back to normal in phone.
I don't have other notification problems (mail, sms, etc) when phone and watch are connected. I checked all notification settings and permissions I could imagine, in both phone and watch, and everything looks normal.
Any ideas?
Hij just got a new phone HUAWEI p20 pro.
Everything works it connects perfect, except my alarms.
The dondt show on my frontier.
Other notifications i get correct.
Even tried other apps for my alarm but none show on my whatch
Due to my gastric bypass i need the reminder or alarm badly.
Anybody got a solution to my probleem?

Hello,
same problem here. Yesterday connected the new phone and there is no possibility to cancel or snooze the ongoing alarm directly from the Gears S3, like this was possible on my Galaxy S7. Any chance this works only with Samsung phones? Can someone confirm that?
I have also tried installing the native Google Clock, same result. And yes, all other notifications from the phone are shown immediately on the watch.
I didn't know or even remember that the phones alarm shows in the gear S3 at all. Why don't you just set an alarm in the watch itself?

Setting an alarm on the watch itself would also be a possibility, but I do not always wear it at night, sometimes it is charging in the other room. That is why I like to keep my alarms "central" on the phone, and when the alarm goes off its just more convenient to silent the alarm via the Gear without reaching for the phone. Its just an extra feature I am missing now.
