freeze some unnecessary apps (i'm using ROM Toolbox and Autostarts) and flash iodak kernel - it will be better! remember, it's the first build, it's normal it lags
btw, 4.3 gallery/camera with photosphere is working great here!

Good Job @reas0n I have found the follwoing link for langauge pack there is nothing about our device I am downloading for SGS III. It might work or not so try it your own risk ( correct me if I am mistaking)

it's not this version of MIUI. well, there are languages for a lot of phones (releases>number of version>multi_lang) but for now i can't find ours..

i think ramdisk..
same problem was on my hd2 and miui for custom kernel..
first kernel of first miui release was on your kernel too..
in iodak thread there is miui boot.img if you want extract ramdisk and check

that's what i thought, too so here's a testverion with the MIUI ramdisk.
it's neither v006, nor v007, it is a test version, but should run completely stable

Yes it boots too..and work very well..
i test it deeply and report for battery drain and other things..
EDIT : Wifi don't work..data works well also gps..but wifi no..
for frequencies : works very good,stable and device smooth..

yes it's smooth but there is also some lags..
but this is the first beta release and by some days i use daily without problem..
Now with custom kernel (iodak and laufersteppenwolf) i think that roms works great too..
However try,test,and report your experience..

interface is lagging a little, but anyway it's very nice and without bugs. MIUIAndroid is the biggest support community except MIUI, they have better source, less bloatware, more tweaks and translations.

ohh, damn, that could be a problem of the test kernel... expect a fix in the evening

@zicoxx just downlaoded Velis Auto Brightness set it up (LCD Bright) rest on medium and normal and turned autobrightness in MIUI options but it isnt working my screen just go to dim state,same as on ice cold jelly rom
This MIUI is good since it have LG camera and not stock one (for me LG camera is better then stock android one)

Nice! After flashing and configuring Wi-Fi and account there is a problem with Cloud. When I click the next button (arrow) error saying that cloud has been stopped appears. I've removed the cloud service from zip and I'm flashing again right now. Hope it will be great.

Try to flash with latest TWRP, it will works fine yeah You will get bootloop on first boot but try to reboot then it will boot fine, the one problem is mobile data not working because this ROM was built with CM13 that not working mobile data build (01-10-2016) I see in the build.props, the UI is beautiful like stock MIUI 8 it contains theme, stock MIUI camera, snap cam, and agni kernel

Dont flash gapps, I dont know but try opengapps nano, if bootloop then flash without gapps, and yeah mobile data wont work

its really looking great rom...i really want to try but on nougat..as i am using 14.1 rom ...i liked these rom when i was using kitkat some years ago..after kitkat i didnt find any rom miui based..and now you came up with this awesome rom..great

for gapps use OpenGapps 6.0 arm pico
during first configuration i have a loop in Mi cloud account configuration. if i want to jump it go in loop and ask me to add it continusly...

-On a small amount of devices, touchscreen is not working properly (touchscreen driver issue)--> fixed on test version
-Reading mode does not turn off if selected. You should reboot or manually move lower slider to left.
-Some apps does not illuminate notification led such as missed call and others. This is a beta base bug, not due to port.
-If you are not familiar with MIUI, do some research before posting a bug, the thread is plenty of reported bugs that are miui settings related.

Yeah, some people might not want to use root and gapps or things mentioned in the OP.
I think you would get a greater response from the users if a variant like that existed.

Damn what a great job here, we finally have MIUI option on this phone.

It would be just amazing if we would have a fully functional 8.1.0 port of miui 10 for this device anyhow many great tanks to the dev for this one:good: maybe in the future we will have just that amazing once again keep it up!

Hi, Yes, this is possible.Cancro is very similar like virgo.I think aosp porting should be easier than miui.
The same rom is working but you must porting a few driver's like sim, audio, camera etc.
I will try to do something with this, but i see in thread about this rom from cancro link is dead,so i need mirror.

Rom is run on Xiaomi Mi Note virgo but no working sim , key navigation , brightness sensor and maybe something else i try port driver from linageos.
But I use xiaomi my dayli phone I do not always have time to do something on the phone, so I can spend some time :angel:

Hi , what Twrp version you use ? and you have new merge partition or old partition ?
old is Miui 7 Android 4.4
new merge partition Miui 7 Marshmallow 6.0 or latest miui 8 or 9 update

I think is work:silly:.Currently my phone has damaged the motherboard I have ordered a new one so it's hard for me to answer 100%, but if you needed you can take some scripts or files from this compilation :highfive:

I think do you maybe must serach in MiuisystemUI.apk and correct or replece some files in xml folder

When I try to flash it (using new TWRP) than after reboot it boot to TWRP instead system. When I try to reboot it again it boot to TWRP again. What I am doing wrong? Thanks

Napiszę po polsku, żeby było łatwiej zrozumieć. Dzięki w ogóle za rom, uratowałeś mi dupę tym ale zauważyłem, że nawet na najniższym poziomie głośności dzwonka dałoby radę obudzić nim zmarłego. Też tak masz czy tylko u mnie? Jakiś fix do tego planujesz zrobić? Czy rzucasz ten rom? // I'll write in polish so it's easier to explain problem. Firstly thank you for rom, you saved my ass but I noticed that even with lowest ringtone volume you could wake up someone dead. Does it work for you or only for me? Will there be any fix? Or you want to leave this rom?

hello, tested your ROM, battery life is very good after unninstalling lots of unnecesarry apps, could you please port the global ROM instead? This chinese version sends too much analytics data to china and has a lot of bloat people outside china don't use. Other than that, good port, no issues whatsoever.

Hello team, I share the excellent work you have done to make the Android operating system GSI MIUI 10, thanks to my friend Helton MAX, thanks to developer Helton Vezzon, I share the tutorial that I did for the Moto Z2 play and I have tried , that is why I dare to share them, because it is 100% functional.
The installation method is quite simple like any GSI:
• Install Treeble recovery.
• Make Wipes
• Install KVT vendor de Oreo funcional
• Restore the backup of a GSI image of Rom cover of the phocophone
• . mount the partition vendor and system
• Install Patch 1 y patch (they come included in the zip of the rom when decompressing they will find it)
• Install Magisk (Required for ROM Boot).
• . Install Permisiver ZIP
• . Install FIX FP (Fingerprint)
• and restart normally
already includes gaaps
What will not work in the first instance are:
• . intermittent brightness
- The screen goes off and it takes a little to go back

No deep sleep.it ate half of the battery at night.

I already discovered the lack of sound in the notifications, the version I had of the vendor was 1.2 and 1.4 is not available, so install mokee and with this it is solved everything I will soon update the installation manual with this

what vendor did you use

I use vendor in last kvt pack, so, I don't know. Other 'bug' is no Moto actions like chop chop...
Themes need to clear his data to work.
