Unable to stop notifications sounds when on the call - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

When I'm on a call, all notifications makes a chime as it comes through, even though the phone is set to silent and vibrate one.
1. I have disabled the setting in the phone app's setting: "Notify during calls - Allow alarms and notification to sound during calls"
2. I have all notifications set to silent and vibrate all the time because I don't want sounds.
3. I tried using an unobtrusive "pop" sound as the notification sound, but when on the phone, all notifications sounds switch to the default Samsung ringtone that is very loud and distracting to the person on the other end.
Any idea why this is happening? Anything I can try next?
I have Galaxy S10 Unlocked (Pie - July 1 Patch)

[Q] TD2 cannot vibrate

Hi guys,
After I uninstall phonealarm app, now my TD2 has some problems:
- when incoming call, it does not vibrate. (sms coming, it still vibrate good)
- sometime when incoming call, sound is very low.
Pls help me. Thanks!
in Sense Setting tab, under "Sound and Display", look for "Ring type", tape in and select "Vibrate and ring"
if the sound is low, check your ringer volume, which is responsible for all type of notification sound level, set it to 80~100%

phone.apk disable end call tone

When on a call and not in silent mode, there is an annoying and loud sound when pressing end call. Is there anyway to disable this?
Same here!

[SOLUTION] Oneplus3T LED notification on Android 8 (OREO)

Good morning fellas, I have an "issue" that is driving me nuts and I hope someone here could give me a solution for this, I will try to explain:
Since Android 5, the notification system has changed and I hate it!
I always (almost) use my phone in "vibrate mode", I like it to vibrate ONLY when I receive a call or SMS. Messaging Apps like Whatsapp/Telegram, I want the notification LED to work,
for that to happen I need to set a notification tone under Settings > Sound and Vibration, but if I set any sound for this and the phone is in vibrate mode, all the sound is converted into a vibration,
even if the options in Whatsapp, for example, was mutted with no vibration and sound at all... with these settings, the LED works like a charm, but the devil vibrations happen aswell and if I set a notification sound to none, the vibrations vanish, but the LED stops working too... it is really boring, the Whatsapp configuration SHOULD (in my opinion) override the System configuration...
I guess you already understood what I want: phone in vibrate mode, with no vibrate in whatsapp, only LED... (I already tried to block vibration permissions for whatsapp with a 3rd party app for rooted devices with no positive result, because it is a system "bug")
The wierdest thing is: before the update to Oreo, it was working the way I want, even with the crap notification system!
That's it... sorry about my english and thanks for now
Thing is, in some Oreo roms for some reason I had to give permission manually to each app to use LED light...
Use VibraFix from play store (root) if you want to disable all vibration, give WhatsApp permission to use LED light and override do not disturb = no vibrations but LED works.

Un-linking ringtone and notifications via application, forces DND mode.

I just got the MIUI 9 update(although didn't try this before) and I'm trying various applications to allow me to effectively mute all notifications and allow phone calls to ring with sound. I've tried a few and they all work, but they seem to turn on DND mode and don't always release it leaving me with no sounds at all. Has anyone had any luck unlinking the phone and notifications with Nougat and MIUI?
Quick update...to simplify I downloaded silent.ogg and applied it to my default notification sound and each app that used special. This way I have ringing all the time with volume and all other notifications just visual and in some cases, to my watch. It works.

LINE messenger call is not respect the phone volume setting(Sound, Vibrate, Silent)

For galaxy S10, do you have any problem with LINE messenger call not respecting the phone volume setting?
Set Volume Setting to Silent
Use another phone to call via LINE messenger
Expect the phone (s10) to be silent without any ringing sound
But the phone is ringing (which i think it use the call volume) and the call volume cannot be decrease to zero which is annoying right now
Not sure if it is because of S10 only or because of Android Pie itself.

Maybe it's the app itself. How you looked in settings at the app's notification settings.
I'm not familiar with LINE messenger but I assume it's a 3rd party app, then setting the ringtone sound setting may not affect it. Try seeing if it's coming through as media, notifications, or system. Screenshot attached for reference.

I tried this on my Galaxy S8+ (Android P). There is no problem. The app respect the phone voice setting properly. Silent or Vibrate.
I noticed 1 thing. When you call your S10 phone, (while it is ringing, do not pick it up) try to adjust your voice volume (press volume button). You cannot decrease voice volume to 0 on S10 but you can on S8+.

Thanks, I think it using the In-Call Volume. Not these volumes (Ringtone, Media, Notification, System) and the In-Call volume you cannot decrease it to 0 on S10.
