Hi all,
I have Oneplus 7 pro - non root. I am trying to add new custom setting. I gave all permissions that needed via adb. For example i added 'night mod activate' as custom setting. Saved then attempted to run. Here is the problem night mode icon toggled from notification bar but phone is not going to night mode, seems tasker side is working completely but phone doesnt care commands. I hope you got me right. Is this problem OxygenOS related or known problem or something else ? Any suggestion ?
Today it is fixed somehow.
I tried oem_black_mode to change to dark theme. Doesn't work for me.

Hi,
I had installed Android N Developer Preview and Lightflow. I am rooted, everything else is stock and before it was working fine. LED was properly lighting up for different notifications.
Yesterday I installed DP3 and rooted it. However, now, Lightflow can't seem to control led anymore. When I enable direct mode in lightflow, all colors on notifications are disabled and only black color is available. Also, after selecting mixer and direct app control option, I don't see the screen which should show me all the options to change color.

And the logcat is where?
Dont be surprised if many things that worked all the way up to p2 no longer work. They will have to be updated.
Hi, I am a noob. Can you please tell me how do I capture logcat for lightflow? I can enable logcat through adb it seems, however, do I need to add some filters or something?
Hi,
currently I'm on OOS 4.5.1 (with all addons as the signature says) and it's working great, but there are two things that are irritating me:
Ambient display - when a notification comes, the clock isn't displayed (to see it, I have to pick up the phone). Ambi-Turner doesn't help. The issue wasn't present on OOS 3.5.4. Is this possible to fix this, or this is a Never Settle™ feature?
DND - I set an option to automatically enable DND, when I start sleep tracking, but I feel only a short vibration, like a sign, that the setting failed (and of course, nothing happens, DND doesn't kick in). Again - how to fix this? I already granted permission to access DND setting to the app.
Forgot to mention - the app is Sleep as Android.
Any help will be appreciated.
No clock also bothers me af. But this is the intended (and dumb) behavior. Also, the red 1 is so damn annoying. Why even change what was actually good?
I had the exact same bug on the Ambient Display on 4.5.X, but it seems to be back in the Oreo OB's. Maybe it used to be a Never Settle™ feature, but I guess there was some backlash so it's back again.
Have you tried Freezing the DND App in Titanium Backup and Defrosting it? That may work.
So i guess that I'll have to live with this bug.
And freezing doesn't help, but here's the log:
https://pastebin.com/HivjnmnV
(I had to paste it somewhere, the length of the log exceed max allowed char limit)
Edit: hmm, it seems that auto DND works, if the slider is set to ring. If it's already on vibrate, then the setting doesn't change.
I wanted to say thank you to this awesome community,
Nothing better than just contributing ... ^^
Wanted just ( Night light ) back on my Nexus 6p
Without those heavy mods with all those wallpapers and stuff.
So I just removed all those stuff, and only kept what must for night light to work.
Never tried on Nexus 5x, .... Just 6p
Again .... Thank you all

I've kicked it in favor for ruthless launcher. Still works.
Does it work non rooted?
Great
Does it really work for you? Because on my 6P, Ok it enables the Nightlight configuration screen, but the screen tint stays the same no matter
Works great. For some reason my 6P does not play well with being rooted, and I was missing flux. This took care of that for me. Only thing I wish is that I still had the hollow navigation bar icons instead of the filled in ones. Small price to pay though to have night light working.
Flashed this on RR and now it keeps rebooting...what have i done wrong ?
Thanks
Flashed onto Lineage OS 15.1 and I am am boot looping. Wish this worked
This doesn't work properly after the newest security update. It installs and turns on fine, but I can't access the settings from the tile anymore and can't change schedule settings. When I tap on schedule, the pop-up menu appears then instantly disappears. So it's stuck on my old setting of "sunset to sunrise", which is fine but for those that might want to change it...
Not working on Pixel Experiance, bootlooping
Which Android version is required?
After Oreo update, it seems there's annoying bug/feature that automatically dims my screen when using camera, Facebook, chrome, pubg mobile etc.
I tried one temporary solution for that bug which actually works on my Huawei P10.
Let me know it this solution will work on your devices.
1. Turn-off Power Saving Mode
2. Go to Go to System>Developer Options>Increase Readability Under Sunlight> Toggle Off
3. Then restart and check your apps if it still auto dimming
And if you want permanently freeze or delete power genius...that solved my problem.
But I think because I delete it now in my power usage, software ia not showing...just hardware.
I dont know if its because I delete that or was a bug that I didn't notice))
where is developer options?

hello. I do not know why but it does not help me. only locking and then re-unlocking the screen restores the normal backlight and does not dim afterwards.sorry no good English.use Google translator. Olo
it doesnt help for me. any ide of this???
Works on my P10. Thanks!
Doesn't work on my Huawei Nova 3i
It seems that Velis Auto Brightness app from Google Play Store does the trick (Honor 10 Stock Pie).
Settings:
Automatic brightness: ON
track light in graph: ON
SETTINGS: (advanced):
Automatic brightness: ON
Disable system handler: ON
Start when screen turns ON: ON
Interactive notification: ON
All other settings off/default.
When you turn off the screen and turn it on, go for the first time in notification area and set your desired value in Velis.
Turn off automatic handling of this app in battery section (app start).
If you disabled animations in developer options, enable them again (0,5x for exanple) and see the magic.
NO more dimming at all.
Hi - I see this thread was originally written 2yrs ago, but I currently have this 'screen dimming in app' problem with my P10 Plus. It started in the last couple of months and may be related to a software update - I'm currently on EMUI 9.1.0.
The Developer option on this thread unfortunately didn't resolve the problem for me (perhaps that's not longer relevant now).
Can anyone offer any other advice?l to resolve this?
Thanks.
Since yesterday my brightness bar has lost the animation, so I have to slide blindly and only when I lift the finger the brightness is applied. It's a little bit annoying and I don't know why it's happening.
Note: two days ago I updated to Dec. Ota, but I don't know if it's related or not.
Edit: it's related with AOSP Mods, solved when module is disabled, anyone with the same issue?
I didn't have the same issue with AOSP Mods enabled. I moved my brightness slider down below the quick settings though so give that a try
