EMUI 9.1 Help - Huawei P10 Questions & Answers

Is there anyway I can manually flash EMUI 9.1 over 9.0?
Because I haven't got 9.1 via OTA yet.

ota update is still not rolling out

Tonight I received it via OTA.
And I have already installed it.
If you have not received it, I suppose you will have to wait a few days.

Has anyone tried the full firmware?
I did the update all the way from B621 without losing data, so I'm on B839 beta update no problem.
I want to know If I can do this without losing data?
Sent from my HUAWEI P7-L10 using XDA Premium HD app
Is it the same as the beta? Is there any need to update?

Yes, local update dont delete your Data.
It says "first you should format your sd card"
Any way without formating sd card?
Is it still beta?
i got a error, i think it said (wrong cust number). i should do a vendor upgrade i guess?
"Step 3. Make sure that there is an UPDATE.APP under the Vendor\hw_eu\dload. Copy the Main package of dload in PC to dload of SD card."
but i can't open the update.app... need help
If you're already on B839 beta update, this update (full) keeps your data. Ta @87insane
No its still no beta....beta test ends

is there any reason why I should do this full update? I'm on beta B839 (OTA update from B830) and everything works great (first working lollipop on my phone). So I don't know if it worth to try this full update? Is there anything new or better compared to OTA beta B839?

Of course full firmware is better then OTA.
backup your data
make factory reset
force update the full firmware

I'm like you - I hate having to redo my whole phone.
If you're already on B839beta, local update of the full will not erase your data - is like doing an OTA except with the full UPDATE.APP
The difference is very little...it feels smother for me and the battery is better but that may just be from the cache wipe the update does.
I was not on b839 beta before...the data will not erase with b830 and b609 too.

How can i roll back my actually rom version B832 too another.

Hi, i actually have B832 rom version, and this rom has some bugs and lagg too much ( app crash ) generally it doesn't work well. I need to change to another rom. I don't have ROOT and bootloader unlock. Can u tell my how downgrade my ROM ? What version should I install ? What first do? Greetings.
try to update to b852..this is the last official version which is stable (better than b805/815/832)..
nearly no bugs (i haven't have one till now)..

This is B839. After installing it you'll get the option to do an OTA update to B852
This is official firmware so you don't need root nor bootloader unlocked.
Roll back to old version

Hi,
You can do like, down grade to B800 , then downgrade to B609 like..
1. flash B800 transition pack
2. flash B621 over B800
3. Now u can flash B609 over B621

Romania, official not beta version.
received B360 today in germany
Just received B360 EMUI 5.0/ Android 7 update here in germany OTA (no branding).
Previous installed version was VIE-L09C432B181, no beta tester so this looks like the final version.
Also, there is a new feature that i haven't seen on regular P9 EMUI 5 update and even Mate 9 is missing this feature. We have a "dark mode" for our AMOLED display in battery settings (see screenshots).
Security patches are from january 2017.

first i tried the version from firmware finder (1.334GB OTA) but the installation failed, after reboot i looked into updater app and the update was there (2,39GB)
Nothing here in Sweden yet, I see the version in firmware finder but as it looks as only half the update judging from above there's no meaning trying it. Nice for you though, is it working good?

i have a mate 9 next to my p9 plus, the p9+ almost running at the same speed as the mate 9 after the update!
B360 runs incredibly smooth and fast, it's the same with fingerprint scanner, it's fast as the one in the mate 9.
As for the battery i can't say much because i have installed the update a hour ago and now it's charging.

thank for help pls help me T-T
- Use firmware finder https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.huaweifirmwarefinder
- Search if the wanted firmware is available for your phone
- Root your phone if possible.
- install new firmware.

If you are on one of the latest versions (security patch after June 2018), this will probably be very difficult. Huawei included anti roll-back in the latest versions. With a locked bootloader you cannot install older firmware and with an unlocked bootloader you may brick your device. As far as I know the only option is the test point method, which requires opening your device.
