On video mode, if you zoom in at 10x, the quality is very bad and pixelated. Its like not using the zoom lens, while in dual mode the zoom works fine.
Anyone has noticed this?

Hi Everyone,
These days phones with bokeh or portrait mode doesn't zoom in the picture but when we enable Nokia camera in bokeh mode, it zooms in as compared to regular mode. Anyway to disable the zoom in bokeh mode in Nokia camera?

I think it's just how the live bokeh works. The phone uses the telephoto lens as the main camera capturing images, and the normal lens as secondary camera capturing depth. Correct me if I'm wrong
Back on 8. 1 when you hit the 2x zoom button it would do a digital zoom. The only way to use telephoto lens was is manual mode
This is no longe the case in pie.
The main camera using digital zoom is vastly superior in quality to the zoom lens in most scenarios.
Is there any way to force it to allow digital zoom?
it will switch automatically to the main camera when its dark. try to cover the telephoto camera.
Is there any way to enable zoom in 48mp mode in stock camera. Its a waste not to have zoom at that resolution
No, & will never have.
You're getting the final image as 48MP so can zoom inside that all you want & good for editing later on.
Doesn't zooming in on regular camera mode switch from camera lens to other camera lens?
So, it basically switches to 48Mp lens when you zoom 2x?
Edit: it does. Lower lens is for 0.6x, and middle lens is for 1x and 2x. Same lens is for 48mp. Upper lens is probably focus lens. Try choosing mode and covering lens with your finger, and you'll see which is which.

Upper lens is 2x Zoom. But only used in good lighting conditions. Otherwise the 48MP Camera is used
Can you explain better?
When i try to zoom in the 2x camera, still the 8 mp camera, dosen't change to the 48 mp camera, i can only use the 48 mp camera on portrait mode ou in pro mode, and on the pro mode the 48 mp camera is named "telephoto". I don't know... There's any chance to this happen beacuse of any software problem?
I discovered something strange with my S20 FE. When I open the camera and try the ultra-wide, the wide and the zoom, the last camera module is never used! I tried this by blocking the cameras with my fingers. So the middle camera is used for both the wide and zoom mode, which means that the device does not have an optical zoom camera OR the optical zoom works in a different way than I thought!
I also tried to take some pictures while covering the cameras, just to see if the viewfinder uses different cameras than the ones that are used for the actual shoot, but the result does not change (zoom photos are taken using the wide).
So here are my questions:
1) What is the bottom camera used for?
2) How is there an optical zoom if both the wide and zoom photos are taken using the same sensor?
3) Is this the same sensor/approach like in S20 which uses an 64MP sensor to shoot 3X hybrid zoom?
4) Anyone that has used the bottom camera to shoot anything? Are the specs wrong?
I've got the 5G version with the Snapdragon 865.
UPDATE!
The bottom camera is used when zooming more than 10X!!! This makes things more complicated!

Actually, the 3X camera works when there's enough light, otherwise, the main camera will be used.

1) The bottom camera is the 3X optical zoom.
2) As I mentioned above, depends how much light you have.
3) The zoom sensor of s20/s20+ is different, they don't have optical zoom , just hybrid.
4) The camera works perfectly, daylight photos, night photos with wnough light, moon photos.
