[APP] Mi Band 4 Watchfaces - Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hello everyone, I have the pleasure of presenting new app for watchfaces
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=paolo4c.mb4.watchfaces

Which database is it using for watch faces? Isn't the app "yet another amazfitwatchfaces frontend"?

Watchfaces in this app are translated into 18 languages. The other app shows those coming from the amazfitwatchfaces.com site. Also there's the tag search, filter for wf features, and a space where you can comment on wf

Hi guys,
I have downloaded some watch faces but ufortunately the distance is displayed in km. This is inspite of the mi app being set to (M)iles. Im in the uk. If I go to status on miband then its all good, distance is in miles, but id like to change the watch face to display in m instead of km. And its not just the text that displays km, the distance is actually km as its much higher than the miles displayed in the status option. any ideas ?
Many thanks

anyone ?

I am having the EXACT same problem with miles on the watch face showing kilometers despite the 'status' correctly showing miles.
Does anyone know what is happening here?
NOTE: I installed my watch faces manually using 'Notify and Fitness'.
EDIT: I just did some more searching and it appears that this may be a firmware bug
that can only be fixed by an update directly from Xiaomi.
In other words all watch faces cannot show miles even though the device is set to miles
and the 'status' correctly does show miles.

Is the value shown on the watch face correct and just showing wrong suffix - e.g. 4 km instead of 4 mi; or is it completely wrong like 6.4 km instead of 4 mi?

Km it's the world standard, just like your language is. Get used to it. And learn other language to show your appreciation to the world ?

I need watchface with JAGERMEISTER. Can someone send me to my email? [email protected]

Good app! Any way to sync directly from the app?

Hi is there any tutorial which I can use learn app like this?

Pebble Apps Wanted

Thought I would start a thread for Apps Wanted, hoping some enterprising devs might see the list and pick some to try. Here is what I am thinking:
- Respond with App Name in the subject to this post
- Provide as much detail as possible here to provide a baseline of what you are looking for
- Add info such as any help you may be able to provide, or if you are willing to offer up cash or other incentives
- When/if there is an app to test you can provide a link
I will make sure to provide a list here of all of app requests so that we have an index file for reference:
- Pebble Smart Start: An app that will allow the user to start their vehicle remotely
- Pebble GeoCache: An app that provides simple geo-cache readout on the Pebble (Lat/Lon)

GPS for Geocache
Love the apps that are already there for navigation and sports links, but would love a basic GPS readout app that shows the following data:
Latitude
Longitude
Altitude
Heading
Bearing
How about Google Glass App?
Not really a coder myself, but there was a Dailer app, which allowed users to search and call contacts by using T9 typing (with the 3 buttons on the right). I wonder if this would be possible with sending sms and typing with T9( we know Glance allows pre-set messages = so sending messages is possible)
Just a little something i wish was out there.

..or maybe it would just let you pick a top 5 or top 10 numbers to dial? then should be easier to scroll the list and pick the one you want to call
You could check my app - A countdown timer. Also, if anyone knows coding and wants to help me, PM me as i dont have a pebble

A great app would be to be able to have your pebble turn off at scheduled times. May be harder to get it to turn on but at least this would save battery.

PebbleTracks
I'd love to have an Android/watchapp application which:
Can start/pause/stop MyTracks recording
Shows current time (in "status bar", top of the screen, small), current speed (big), travelled distance (like bike computer)
if possible, shows google maps map on the watch (just a nice-to-have thought)
if possible, longpress up/down could fire watchapp (PebbleDialer)
I'm a software engineer, who never developed for Android or Pebble, but i can contribute any work i can handle .

I have a few ideas for how you can do this...
1. Canvas app - create a calendar on google calendars with just their birthdays. On Canvas, create a watch face with a field that pulls data from a calendar and configure it to only pull from the birthday calendar.
2. Tasker and pebble notifier - with pebble notifier, you can send tasker notifications to your watch. With tasker, you can program it to notify you on certain days which are your friends' birthdays.
Thoughts?

Maybe this app fulfils your need, it displays simple Lat and Long of your current location:

Found it on mypebblefaces as usual
Oi! Where's your phone?
Having lost phones in the past an app to vibrate the pebble if the BT connection drops for longer than a minute (maybe the duration could be configurable) would be useful.
Would probably need alarm style snooze and dismiss options so you could snooze it if you're out of range momentarily and dismiss it until the next reconnect if your phone battery has died or similar.
Something like this was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pebble so I was surprised to not find one already, I've seen a few phone apps doing the reverse and bleeping the phone when out of range but that doesn't help me realise my phone is missing it just annoys the thief into turning off the phone.
I'm not a coder beyond 10 print hello 20 goto 10 but if anyone else thinks something like this would be useful I'd happily beta test.
Thanks

I'd like a better stopwatch/alarm app.. Also a contact app that works better than the current one with the 3 button interface. I'd like to scroll by groups of letters, like top button is a to k, middle is l to s etc.. And then scroll through those letters.
I know this is a long shot, but having a torque plugin would be cool to show 2 or 3 preset dials like engine temp and maf values cause when I'm working on my Audi I like to monitor certain things but don't want to get my phone all greasy.

Yes, this exactly. I got my pebble a few days ago and I've been looking for something like this. There are already apps to ring the phone from the watch and even a notification on your phone if your watch gets disconnected but I would very much like the watch to vibrate if it gets disconnected instead of the phone

HTC TV app broken with sense 5.5

I downloaded 5.5 this week. It seems the TV remote control app is broken.
When selecting your area and TV content provider ie freeview or virgin, it ask you if you can receive channel 60. I selected NO and from there on it only shows two channels in my list. BT Sports 1&2
If I select yes to receiving channel 60 it gives me BBC1 north, ITV Anglia and a load of irrelevant regional tv.
Anyone else found this?

same here for my area I have to say yes to ch60 even though its not broadcsast, not even sure if all channels are on the correct numbers now, I just gave up & stopped using it

I said yes to it as well just to let me though to the app. Problem is, many of the channel numbers are now out of sync. Channel 8 in my area says BBC Alba. Thats not even on Freeview!
I just called HTC (i don't know why!) i knew they wouldn't care let alone even understand what this issue is..
Anyway.. The response? yep.... you guessed it... a factory reset!!
I tried to explain its nothing to do with the set up of my phone, it more to do with the incorrect data being pulled from the server.
Shame as I used to use this a lot. It was one of the things that kept me from jumping to the LG G2
I've just had a tinker and the whole tv app seems to be a total mess.
Question, has anyone got a full working version of the HTC TV Remote app on sense 5.5?

Questions before purchase

Hey guys,
I'm looking at getting a G2N in the next few days (if I can find a shop that has them in stock!)
I just have a couple of questions...
1. Does it show WhatsApp messages? I tried YouTube but the ones that talk about WhatsApp is in German.
2. Does it show the weather forecast?
3. How accurate is the S Voice on it?
I'm using a Galaxy Note 2 (DN3 RC2 on 4.4.2).
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't use whatsapp messenger so I can't answer the first question, but I do use it to receive Facebook, espn, and other notifications. I'm site if you choose to see those it will display them. It also has a ten day forecast. And as far as s voice I think it's pretty spot on, I've been using it for a week and only once have I had to re-say what I meant. I have it paired with an s5 to for what it's worth

1. Does it show WhatsApp messages?
I don't use WhatsApp, but *all* the apps that I have used with the watch DO show notifications clearly.
(GoogleNow, Business Calendar, Feedly, a couple of others/ etc.)
2. Does it show the weather forecast?
Yes, it even has a watch face with time and a weather logo that show the temperature and a current weather
symbol (clouds, clear, rainy). If you push the logo, you get a scrolling weather forecast in more detail (for several
days). It works well -but the fastest/most current updates in settings is hourly (I'd like 15 minutes!). I also use WeatherBug
and it pushed weather to the watch --turned it off since I was getting multiple weather more or less the same times!
3. How accurate is the S Voice on it?
- S Voice does work, and I use it to respond to text messages. (So, if you get a text message on your watch -you can read the whole thing, and there is a menu to reply (settings: either 3-4 stock "canned" messages, or using a "free form" reply with S Voice. I used S Voice, but to do so you need to a) be in a reasonably quiet location (outdoors on a windy street does not work well, riding in a car with the window open and music playing does not work well...etc.).
- Secondly, I found I needed to think through the reply completely in advance and then say it slowly. Whenever I tried to create and speak and pause and continue to speak, S voice just caught a portion of the reply and offered "here is your reply shall I send it"? (no no no! delete!). However, when I knew exactly what I wanted to say, and said it slowly but clearly, S voice did well. I would NOT recommend it for LONG message replies on the watch, (Send several short replies -that works!) However, S Voice does not seem to be as good at dictation as Google's voice keyboard, or Swype/Dragon's voice type. It is pretty good at searches.
We are very close to Android Wear devices being released. Are you prepared to possibly feel remorse after dropping money on one of these and then just a few months later, new devices will be out that may eclipse them in function and app ecosystem? I bought and kept my Neo with the knowledge that its a stopgap for a few months and I'll most probably ditch it for Android Wear this summer. There's still a lot of missing functionality that the older Gears and even Pebble watches can do that need to be caught up because Samsung decided to ditch the old platform for Tizen. So it's pretty much like a gen 1 device again instead of building on the existing ecosystem from the original Gear, which means waiting on features, apps and stability/bug fixes.
Because I love the IR blaster and mic, I kept my Neo in the chance that devs can come through and fix/add the software/apps to address my problems with it. I don't know if an Android Wear device will come out that has the IR blaster, so I'm keeping the Neo for now. Even though the WatchOn app sucks right now, because it's very limited in what devices it can control.
You must be willing to gamble on whether those apps/software features will ever come around, because those of us who buy Samsung devices regularly, know that if you don't buy one of their devices that have decent developer support, you're kind of screwed due to their penchant to release so many new devices and subsequently forget about supporting their last-gen products with updates. We'll see if the decision to go Tizen will help or hurt this product. So far the app store is pretty thin and I expected there would be a bounty of awesome apps by now since one of the advantages of Tizen promoted was that it's so easy to develop on this platform compared to android. Given that, the only reason for the lack of apps I would think is lack of developer interest.

What do you use your watch for?

Other then the obvious time.
I like mine, but debating taking it back because in not using it as much as expected. Maybe i just don't have enough uses for it. Hence this thread
I use mine for notifications whilst at work so I'm not constantly getting my phone out.
Use it for music using Bluetooth ear phones when I'm out running or in the gym.
Controlling music playing from My phone so i can leave my phone plugged in.
Controlling my phones settings easily, again without getting the phone out.
Ticking off the shopping list as im getting dragged around tescos with the misses.
Use the camera app quite a bit too have a look in hard to reach areas when working on my car or fixing generators at work, also handy when playing hide n seek with my kids.
Quick text messages and replys.
Starting and stopping My Tracks easily.
And lastly just enjoy geeking out with it.
When working out, I use the heart rate tracker with Endomondo. For real time heart rate tracking the entire workout. This helps give a better idea of how many calories were burned. It works best during treadmill walking, not as well when weightlifting. But even what it does during weightlifting is better than nothing.
Shopping list as was mentioned already.
Cooking: I use "My Cookbook" app. To view recipes on my watch while cooking. This is so much easier, than trying to pull out the phone, book or tablet, to read a recipe while in the act of cooking. It keeps the hands free for the actual cooking.
Weather: I use the "Bright Weather" app. Which keeps a persistent weather card on my watch. So anytime I want a quick view of the the weather I can pull up that card right away.
Easy reading and replying to text. I use the "WearResponses" app, to easily reply to text messages. It's also easy to create and send a message via voice.
Watch faces, wow there are so many. I'm very much a watch face junkie .
Calendar: I always have the calendar card open for easy lookup of my daily schedule.
Step Counting: Aside from tracking steps during my workouts. Google Fit tracks steps all day. So I can see when I'm getting a good number of steps in a day overall.
Navigation: When using Google Maps, I can see directions on the watch while walking.
Calculator: I use the "Multi Calculator" app, to be able to use a calculator right on my phone.
Sleep: (Last but certainly not least.) I use the "Sleep As Android" app. To track my sleep patters, pause tracking when I get up in the middle of the night momentarily, to stop sleep tracking when I wake up and even dismiss alarms.
There's more, but that's the regular everyday stuff ,

I have to add answering the phone. It's so nice to get caller ID on the watch. No need to pull out the phone when I get a call. I can look at the watch and decide if I want to send the call to voicemail or answer. There have been times I would have never taken any action on a call. Because my hands were not in a position to pull out the phone. But I was able to send to voicemail, because I could at least get one finger to my watch .

@phil gpx. How are you taking pics with the watch? Also what app do you find best for the shopping lists on the watch? Keep?
@Darnell_Chat_TN. How is the heart rate tracker with Endomondo? Google fit sucks at it as I get a BPM after a run at 70. There's no way.
How do you like my cookbook?
Edit: I just did a search for some of those apps: which cookbook app? There were 2. And, which endomondo app? Pro or basic?
Thanks guys. I just got this watch a few weeks ago. Played with the basics myself, but I know it can do more for me.
Sorry for the off topic questions
Definitely more then I'm using it for.
I wish i could get it to work with my fitness pal

For camera, have a look at the "ZenWatch Remote Camera" app. It will work with any Android Wear device.
Heart rate tracking with Endomondo is good. It's not always perfect, but for an hour walk/run, it does give a good overall picture of BPM average and high. It's best to just allow the arm to swing normally during the activity. Trying to keep holding your arm up to look at the watch I have found messes the reading up and gives low numbers.
The watch only works with the free version of Endomodo, but if you want extra features you have to get the paid version. And then, the free version will work with the watch, plus have all the paid features too. So you'll have 2 apps if you get both, but only use the free version, that will also have the paid features after you buy the paid app .
I'm using "My Cookbook (Recipe Manager)", by Maadinfo Services. It's very nice, since I can put in recipes however I like them and then see it on my watch. The last viewed in the phone app will show on the watch.

Endomodo is "supposed" to automatically feed data to MyFitnessPal. But I have never been able to get that to work. So I always have to enter the data into MyFitnessPal manually .

As mentioned above or camera for wear or camera remote etc as there are many on the play store.
The shopping list is called Bring. You can have multiple people on the list and you get a alert when someone updates the list.

Google Home - say a value with webrequest

Hi!
I want to control my thermostate with GH. Sending a temperature is nog problem with IFTTT and Webhooks. What I would like to see is that GH can also give me the current temperature.
So:
ME: "Hey Google, what's my room temperature"
GH: "It's 20 degrees in your livingroom".
I'v created a Pebble Watch app with JSON that can retrieve the value and display it. But I can't get this to work in GH.
I have tried the API AI tutorial for the Weather tutorial, but it works with sending a city and then getting the weather in return.
I only want the GH to give me the temperature.
Have tried it with IFTTT, but don't know how to have GH respond.
Hope you guys can help me with an example of a webrequest with GH.

Hi, me too control my home with Google Home and I have a RaspberryPI that control stove, light, tv ecc. I use IFTTT too, but with a small python script I control Google Home voice for reply to my question.
I ask "Hey google, what’s the temperature at home?" and Google Home reply immediatly "wait". This is mandatory for the IFTTT system. IFTTT after call a webhook on my raspberryPI and it send a command line like this
./ghome_say "19°". And google home say this text
