Just got the latest update via OTA (ASGC) and still no camera update. Is there anyway to update the Samsung camera apk only without flashing a different firmware? I would like to have the updated version as most people are reporting the camera improved noticeably with the update.
Just find the APK online from a carrier that has updated it, then install through File Manager.

Samsung camera ver. 10.0.00.32 dated Oct 25 is on Apkmirror. The version I have on beta 2 is 10.0.00.33 so it's probably the latest there is outside beta.
Or you could update to the beta. You normally can't just update a system app (tried to with night mode on t-mobile)

I expect North American devices to receive lollipop starting February. These devices include model numbers: SM-G900A, SM-G900T, SM-G900V, SM-G900P, and SM-G900W8.

ETA on the SM-G900M model looks to be mid to end of February. Keep on eye on updates, I will post them as I receive them!
That's exciting to hear.
SM-G900A here in the USA
I'll sit on my hands until Feb and try to resist flashing and breaking it with something before then
I have installed the latest UK version with dirty flash over Indie Rom v11; no problems so far; a good stock Rom; some notes:
1. I have uninstalled xposed framework, wanam and other xposed modules;
2. The Rom corrected my broken know value and I don't see any warning or errors during boot; everything seems ok under the settings - device info screen; I'll try the use the rom as original without root for a while and see if I can do it.
3. No problems and liked it do far; I had some problems with updating few apps over google play store and google play services; but I think it was related to bootmanager which is an xposed module; after uninstalling bootmanager all apps have been updated without a problem.

Nothing yet on my 3UK G900F
Why would you want to install a 3uk rom full of extra bloatware when you can have the uk Unbranded BTU.
Why Samsung did release it as 5.0.1? But anyway living without Xposed is not an option.
What about updates for 900I ? Any timeline ?
What about the G900H exynos variant ?

The only difference I can see is that it comes up with 3 logo when it switches on. There doesn't appear to be any bloat. I would flash unbranded BTU rom if it was possible without a wipe.

Its live @ samfirmware. Checkout the australian s5 page in general for the link.
No-one seems to have an answer as to when it'll be rolled out for the Exynos version (900H)....I also would like to know...
Many countries have received the update now but not the Baltics. Wonder when it is our turn...
Was wondering if google camera apk still works after those of you whom updated to oreo. Currently have the tmobile variant, announcements were made that it will start rolling tomm (april 1st). Was thinking of delaying update if the apk will no longer work if the phone is updated?
Yes I have 2 versions of the gcam mod and both work fine

Thank you!
Can you post link? I had it working pre oreo update. now it's doing weird things and portrait mode just doesn't work at all.
Hi
Before Oreo was officially released in the UK I flashed the french release using Odin and all works fine. However I haven't had any security updates since march ...I have an s7 edge that has the latest updates ..is there anything I can do to make it update ?
Thanks for any help.
I flashed a more recent firmware with Odin and I had the OTA feature come back and with this the latest patches.
Thanks will try that.
I just got the Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F/DS) and it's still on Android 8.1.0, security patch level December 1, 2018.
It won't update OTA, nor via Smart Switch.
The build number is M1AJQ.N960FXXS2ARL4, CSC is N960FOXM2ARK2
Is there a way to update it to at least Android 9.0?
Thanks in advance.

I do not know what you mean by genuine, it's original and unlocked.
How do I update it via ODIN if the firmware for this model hasn't been released yet?
Can I use any firmware to do it?

Man, the firmware for that phone with Pie has been release about a year ago..
Just because you didn´t get the OTA does not mean it hasn´t been released.
Just do a search here
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-note9/firmware/#SM-N960F
for your country code to get the latest
Also search the forum for the latest ODIN version, and you must know if your phone has a SnapDragon CPU or an Exynos CPU if you would like to install custom roms and/or TWRP recovery
Go for it..
OP your so lucky to be on oreo I'm jealous
Better to Stay on Oreo That Update it to Pie/10

Waw.. How lucky you are.
i think better you stay in Oreo that updated it to Android 9 (Pie) Or Android 10.
IMHO, true Power of Galaxy Note 9 is on Oreo. The Multitasking menu is far usable in Oreo than Pie. The Pro Video mode is basically available on Oreo. also, you can slide the Shutter button to Zoom-in/out. Thats only on Note 9's Oreo.
Believe me, you'll regret it once you've successfully update to Pie. CMIIW
Can safely say that Android 10 OneUI 2.1 is the best software for the Note9.

When I play Asphalt 9 it gets really hot but I'm not a gamer so that's a rare event for me xd That said that's the only game which really heats up my phone so much, others make it normally warmer.
Otherwise i haven't seen any issues at all the last 4 months since I bought the phone, Exynos version as well. I'm on OneUI 2.1 since 1 month ago. I never had the famous screen tint issue that others were reporting.
Mine was stuck on Oreo too. Always said that my device was up to date every time I would check... I downloaded android 10 from some where and used patched od to install it. Had to do a lot of updating of apps when it booted up but that's how it is.

I recently installed MIUI 12.0.2.0 my redmi k20 pro from http://bigota.d.miui.com/V12.0.2.0.QFKINXM/miui_RAPHAELININGlobal_V12.0.2.0.QFKINXM_f009b4b446_10.0.zip . Since this isn't the official way to update the miui version I doubt whether I'd be getting the offical OTA updates that Xiaomi will push in the future or I have to regularly download the latest version from https://www.xda-developers.com/download-miui-12-stable-update-rolling-out-several-xiaomi-redmi-mi-poco-devices/ thread. I am using a xiaomi device for the first time so I dont have any idea about this.
Did you install the .zip through the Updater app? The update has been rolled out, hence why you were able to download the .zip and if you updated through the Updater app you will get future OTA updates.

Many XDA threads and other reputable resources link to the official MIUI downloads.
The link above is the official link for the 12.0.2 India recovery ROM. It might not be the "normal" way to update, it is still an official way to update. You will still get the normal OTA updates.
If you have flashed this with custom recovery, ota may not work. Otherwise, it should get ota and update normally.
