Developer options is at the bottom of the main settings menu. Back out of the software version and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Go to settings, about, tap build number 7-8 times for developer options.
Keyboard sounds should be under settings, sound. If not there then under keyboard input.

Go to settings --> lock screen --> slider shortcuts.
Slide the circle to the slot you want to change, and choose "empty" for the shortcut you want to get rid of.
Not sure if anyone else is having a problem but I had trouble removing the camera widget off the lock screen even though it was disabled in the settings on carbonmod. Had to download "Lockscreen policy" app to remove it.
Very stupid question, but I can't seem to find the settings where to set amount of seconds the device should need before locking the screen after it turns of and setting letting my instantly lock the screen via the power button.
Am I stupid or something? Serously, I have looked through the entire phone and I know I've seen it somewhere.

Hello,
I did a little searching but could not find anything specific to my setup. I'm going crazy trying to get double tap back on my phone. I know double tap to wake was working earlier in the day then I messed about in settings and I just can not find what I did that caused double tap to wake not to work, I'm running the Cataclysm rom on an otherwise stock 6.0.1. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy and haunt you all.
Thanks
See if you changed something in smart lock.
mikeprius said:
Download Kernal Auditor in googleplay and under one of the tweaks is a double tap to wake. I've tried a few different double tap to wake mods and none of them really work as well as Lollipop, but it's something. I noticed it only works when tapping the lower center like 1 sec between taps.

its not in any settings, as google disabled it before releasing the n6. however, it can be re-enabled, with root of course. it can be included in a custom rom or you can use this nexus 6 double tap to wake app to enable it https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.codechron.n6doubletapunlock

Go to Settings > Security and scroll down to Trust Agents. Within that page, turn on Smart Lock. Go back and you will find Smart Lock where expected. Just learned this last month.

Then I definatley borked something. Smart lock used to be there when I bought the phone. I bought it already modified from ECrispy, the developer here. He restored everything to stock then flashed Cataclysm 6.0.1 on it and shipped it out to me. Guess I did somehting to it

Oh well, everyone was a noob I guess. little research says that most rooted roms have busybox in them already so here we go!
It is nice that Cataclysm allows you to make the choice whether to install it or not.

Bet your setting it to full screen arent you? Set it for half screen and it will stick. Its a bug the Dev doesnt care to fix. Has been reported hundreds of times.

I've been enjoying my 5c but really miss the double tap to wake function (plus it probably doesn't help the longevity of the power button), so looking for some solution I found this on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/enable-double-tap-to-wake-t3312676 ,
It's for a Huawei Mate8 but I've checked the relevant build.prop and xml file and the entries are both there but disabled. Problem I have now is I don't want to root device for the time being, is there anyway I can get temp root, without BL unlock, of perhaps do this via adb and usb debuggin 'on' ? The changes are pretty easy and minor so if someone has root on their 5c perhaps they can try it and report back. Appreciate this may also be locked/missing in the kernel but we won't know until we try, right ?
Hoping someone can reply so we can make this a better device.
I've reprodued the procedure below in case URL link doesn't work.
1) Go into system/build.prop and open it in your favorite text editor. Find the line that says ro.config.hw_easywakeup=false and change the false to true then save your changes.
2) Go to system/emui/base/xml and open up the hw_easywakeupmotion_config.xml in your favorite text editor. Find the line that says <EasyWakeupMotion name="Double_Touch" support="1" value="0" flag="0" keycode="131" /> and change the value=0 to value=1 then save your changes.
3) Restart your phone
4) Go into Settings/Smart Assistance/Motion Control and at the bottom you will now see Double Touch. Turn it on.
5) Restart your phone and you will have Double Tap to Wake enabled and working.
Answering my own question, couple of guys tried it over at modaco and it didn't work, guess kernel doesn't support it..

Try tap2wake on Xposed

So, are there other options to wake up the phone? My last phones power on/off button was broken after 1 year and I wanna know other possibilities to wake the phone up.
Otherwise: Are there root methods available to double tap the screen?
/e: Oh, yeah, find a very good solution: the app Garvity Screen (can't post link because I'm new)!
With this, you can easily swipe over the approximate sensor (left corner!) and here it is: An unlocked device! Don't forget to whitelist the app because otherwise, it will be closed after some minutes...

Hey guys
Why fingerprint unlock doesnt work after double tap to screen lock/off? Is there any way to achieve that. Everytime u double tap to make screen off , the next time u wake ur phone using fingerprint, it just ask for password. So u r stuck with only one option to press power button then apply fingerprint.
I hate pressing buttons:crying:
