Seems 3t struggles with same issues like it's predecessor, not receiving push notifications from some apps. In my case it's gmail and nine. For whatsapp it works fine.
Despite all apps I need are excluded from battery optimization not changing anything. Anyone experiencing same issue?

not recievin push nots either. wat does i do about it
Did you, by any chance, used Titanium Backup to restore apps from another phone?
If so, there you are. Apps with push notifications doesn't work properly if restore with Titanium.
Reinstall them from the play store.
Nope

I have the same problem with Newton (ex Cloudmagic) and I have installed manually and set it up.

I dont in fact see any pattern when notifications are working and when they are not working
Sometimes I am getting instant notifications, sometimes I have to unlock phone to receive them. Excluding apps from battery optimization does not make any difference
I use the phone and Newton for almost one week and I did not see any notification from the app at all and I receive a lot of emails daily.
Do you guys have blocked play services for backrgound connections?
I had done that and didnt recieve any notificiation anymore.
The Doze mode from developer options is the one causing it.

And how we fix that? I've got the same problem with the OnePlus 3 using Deviant Art app and I'm worried to have the same issue with the 3T!

have you noticed any improvement after updating to 3.5.4?
Try the following:
Step 1: Go to Settings > Battery
Step 2: Go to "Battery optimization" option from the top-right menu icon.
Step 3: Select "All apps" from the options to bring the list all the apps on which doze mode is enabled.
Step 4: Choose any of the apps on which you need to disable doze mode.
Step 5: Tap "Don't optimize" and then hit "Done".
This was my first thing to check - unfortunately didnt worked.
i need 10:crying:
Just wanted to bump this thread and see if there's a fix? Getting push notifications on Nine is extremely important for my job. I only get them reliably if I'm actively using my phone. "not optimized" for aggressive doze does not seem to help.
only the stock rom has this issue i was using grond zero rom but since i got my device from last 4 days , but has some issues like GPS and touch issue so i wanted to see if i have those issues in stock rom too or not so i flashed yesterday 4.0.2 and my notifications are also not working unless i open the app
Try switching on for required apps under Settings - Apps - Click Settings icon - Apps auto-launch....

This is exactly the same for me.
Gmail is the main App affected by this problem, but it is not the only App.
I tried the following settings (see screenshots - in French - in the attached file) :
- disable Doze mode in the Developer Options
- In the Battery Menu :
- Disable the aggressive doze and app hibernation option
- Disable the auto-close of "greedy" application
- In the App Menu/Setting Icon/Special Access/Battery Optimisation I white listed my fav Apps (Gmail, WhatsApp, ...)
None of this settings have totally solved the problem, which is really anoying for Gmail as I miss some important info because of delayed notifications (and sometimes no notification at all).
I opened a ticket at OnePlus : https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/random-delay-with-push-notificatio-ns.500958/
EDIT : I'm running the last version of OOS and doesn't use Greenify or such a kind of optimisation App
"Heartbeat fixer" app in Play Store did the trick for me! Also you have "push notification fix" in Play Store. Gime them a try.
First of all this method isn't perfect and sometimes when you install an app from the playstore you just have to pull down the notification tray and select disable notifications but I can download any app and update apps using this method from a video I'm going to show you also in the video the guy says to reset your phone but I didn't and mines working fine - https://youtu.be/lYOU_YxrHhc and here are some screenshot of my phone to prove it
Proper will be when push notifications will work.

a proper guide will be if at LEAST notifications can be easily swapped with the play store working with a simpler way.
but the best would be ofcource that both work without problems.

"Proper" is when the notifications are working.
thre are many ways and they all work, and as everyone has said, its when notification works
so what works in that video that does not work elsewhere
It's good that you share but this is not "proper" unfortunately. There have been countless of methods in the last few months(all pretty much the same) and they usually bring the exact same problem.
I sold my Mate 30 Pro because I didn't like the workarounds which couldn't provide a good solution. I am regularly checking what's going on and when a working method pops up I will gladly buy one of theses devices again.
Hello,i am sure this has been discussed already somewhere but i havent found a solution. If someone can please either point me in the direction of a thread with a working fix for non-rooted devices or maybe provide me an ad blocker that actually works and is hidden from the apps drawer i would really appreciate it. All i want is to kill all the pesky ads showing up in websites when using Chrome on my phone. Anyone know of a way?

I have the most version of Facebook available. But no dark mode
...maybe a server-side option?
Get this version somewhere on internet and install it. I hear somewhere dark mode is in beta stage and not yet possible get in all countrys for testing
You can try in play store enable developers option to get early access version of FB app
But first try this version btw if you have a same version than thats means your country is not yet have access to dark mode

The option is related to accounts, not Facebook app version. If the option is in pending for your account, try this(worked on my P40 Pro and on my P30 Pro too, with two accounts): log out of Facebook(menu from upper right side, scroll down until you see the option to log out). Then clear cache of Facebook app(only cache, not data),then turn off phone without signing in back into the app. Let the phone turned off for a minute, then turn it back on,log in to Facebook,go to settings and privacy and the option for Dark mode should be there, just under "your time on facebook". Might work with force close too,but turning off the phone closes all the services used by facebook for sure(at first I tried reboot, but it only worked on both phones when I turned off the phone,I'm not sure why).
today my facebbok has become dark

Like I said...it worked on two accounts,on two different phones, but because most probably the option was already pending for the accounts. It should appear in settings and privacy, between "your time on Facebook" and "Language".
But I did the same steps

Yeah. It's related to accounts. I just tried with a friend and it worked for him too...before trying this,he didn't have the option too. But we are from Romania...so definitely it only works to "rush" the option only if it is available for your area. It's not magic...it's only a re-login after a short while and clearing the app cache. If you just reinstall the application it doesn't have the same effect, because you are still logged in the server...so logging out is better.
