Hi guys. I'm having a really strange status of bricking with my P9 lite (VNS-L23). Bootloader locked.
I was trying to reflash the nougat firmware of my phone (downloaded in the Huawei official web) through dload mode because it was locked due to Google Account.
Everything went correctly. When the dload mode's installation reached 100% of the upgrade, then the screen of my phone turned down and nothing else happened. I left it up to 1 hour, thinking it was finishing updating. No Huawei logo, anything.
Since then, my phone does not do anything, neither when i plug it to my wall charger.
Thanking god, my pc recognises it when I connect my mobile (although the screen continuous turned off).
So then I unpackaged the update.app with Huawei Update Extractor and tried to flash every image i got then, but it says me (remote: command not allowed).
The only two "codes" that works are fastboot devices (recognized correctly) and fastboot oem get-bootinfo (then says the that is locked, obviously).
So I do not know what to do
I've just tried <fastboot reboot> but also the command is not allowed.
(I hope my English was understanding at least)

Hi , in this case for revive the phone you need to unlock your bootloader device . How you can do? Use the tool called "Dc Unlocker " it's a paid service i warn you. With this tool you will able to read the bootloader code of the device. So after you have a bootloader code you need to unlock the bootloader through "ADB" , after do this , flash an recovery modded , like Twrp . After do this , wipe all device data and flash a new custom rom , i advise you to flash the Elite Rom 7.7 by HassanMirza , is the best.

Hi, I have problem. I have two Huawei P9. One is L19 and the other is L09.
My L19 is the C900
My L09 I do not remember what it is ... the problem is that it is no system, it only turns on fastboot recovery mode. I've tried combo keys with dload but it does not work or does not recognize. By Hisuite says that the model is not supported. Finally I tried the Firmware Update program by hajuuk https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9-...dater-t3435878 I used several firmwares inside the L09 option but in the middle of the installation it gives error.
I need to find a way to enable the OEM so I can flash boot.img, recovery.img and system.img because I can not flash anything at the momento because it gives the Not Allowed command.
The status is Bootloader locked and FRP locked.
I do not know what to do, I have no ideas.

Okay to unlock the bootloader, go into fastboot and plug in the USB to your computer, then by either using SRK tool or adb you need to flash this command: fastboot oem unlock (insert bootloader code) *don't put brackets* if you are unaware of your bootloader code then I cannot help you, however if you do know it, then once you unlocked the bootloader flash system.img and stuff to see if that works for you

I've tried some command in fastboot mode but there's always an error: Remote: command not allowed.
I can't do anything with fastboot mode
1. Try to force update with Power Button + Min Vol Button + Max Vol Button, liked you said this isn't working try to do the button combination with the phone connect it to the PC; in my case some times dload din't works after I connected the phone to the computer.
2. Other thing, something happend if you turn of the phone and leave Max Vol Button pressed, you should be entering to eRecovery.
3. Remember that sometimes enter in eRecovery mode requires to the phone be turn off otherwise you can't access to Recovery. So if this is the case follow bullet #2 and them #1.
PD: OFC I'm assuming you already have the dload folder with an compatible version of stock ROM on your SDCARD. If you don't have any version tries this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9...dload-file-p9-eva-l09-b136-t3382818?nocache=1
Hope I helped you, I already bricked twice my P9 corrupting System Table Partitions.

I have a P9 L09, i have unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP recovery, and started flashing some roms. I have succesfully flashed a cyanogenmod, and it booted properly, but when it started it asked me for a password which i did not know, so i google searched and found out that it is a common issue and i need to wipe data from recovery. I tryed that but it did not work it says failed, and nothing works in the wipe advanced section, beside system. And also in the custom recovery it says that the internal storage has 0MB ! I was able to put other custom roms on the SDcard and flash them, they booted but every single one asks for the password.. I then tryed to install stock rom with the dload method, but it crashes and 40% , and i tryied the System Recovery option in HiSuite and it says it is not compatible with my device. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hello. I have the same problem. I have my unlock code but in fastboot, adb command says it failed. Sorry for bad english. What can i do?

Same problem on my honor &x locked bootloader and bricked. unlocking the oem like you said above does not work
Hello folks,
so a friend of mine is a complete noob and have this problem with his p9 plus.
The phone keeps rebooting itself in an endless loop, i can't access recovery and only when plugged in to the PC i can access fast-boot.
Phone is locked, FRP Lock.
With getvar command i managed to get this info:
rescue_phoneinfo: VIE-L09C113B170
seems that there is no full zip of this rom anywhere just partial ota (found those with firmware finder) but even with that when i try to flash recovery i get command not allowed.
On the fastboot screen of the phone i have this reboot reason AP_S_PANIC
anyone knows a how to get the phone out of this? (i was thinking that maybe unlocking the bootloader could be of any use, but in the request page it's needed the Product_ID and i don't have it. (can't *#*#1357946#*#*)
I don't know if it does work in a locked bootloader.
I have my P9+ for a week and maybe if you download a firmware compatible with your version and try to 'hard' update the phone, using a SD card with a update file on a dload folder and restarting the phone pressing VolUp + VolDown +Pwr, you can restore your friend's phone.
I'm sorry if I didn't help, I am myself stucked trying to rollback my version to MM and have the NFC and the Bluetooth working again...
myself also got this problem..please anyone..
Hi,
I have a P9 here I'm was asked to repair. I think it is kind of bricked and I hope some one can help me to unbrick it.
According to the auto dc-unlocker identification:
Found Phone : EVA-L09
Firmware : EVA-L09C432B386
FB LockState: LOCKED
USER LockState: LOCKED
So, bootloader locked and FRP locked. I don't know if the Firmware version above is right. All I know is that some Update.app files were flashed to the state of the phone now and before there where bootloops while the start animation and stuck boot with black screen.
At the moment I can do:
- turn on to see only the first huawei log with "powered by android", then nothing happens
- I can not enter eRecovery or update for Update.app
- I can only enter fastboot
I have the unlock code for the bootloader. I can not commit any fastboot commands (oem unlock, flash, etc) all is blocked with:
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
The locked FRP should be the reason for this.
I think OEM-unlock and usb debug from developer section was not enabled as the phone was usable. adb commands like "adb reboot bootloader" fail with
error: device '(null)' not found
fastboot devices shows the device
I have tried to uncharge the battery and then try to enter other modes than fastboot. No luck with that.
Do I have any chance to unbrick it without paying for the dc-unlocker/phoenix?
Can I do something with SRKTool?
If I have to use unlocker,
- do I have to unlock the bootloader?
- should I flash the same firmware that is now on the phone (B386) and where can I find it? (found only 1000 other versions until now)
Hope for answers
I've gone through that before, but ended up using DC-Phoenix to unbrick it when it's FRP and bootloader locked. Cost me about $15. There is a post on how to do this but I'll have to search for it again.
Here is the post I used:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71767614&postcount=7
I guess you enter fastboot by Vol- and Power?
Not sure if the following method could help you with, but you can analyze before you go for dc-phoenix:

So you can not update via dload method? Did you try booting into recovery (not Recovery)? And you can't update with Update.app, you need to flash update.zip and full_update.zip via TWRP or Recovery. What wanted the owner of this phone to do, that he bricked it ?
Thank you all for your answers. Like I tried to describe: I was not able to access any other mode than fastboot.
"was able": I used DC-Phoenix now and it worked just fine.
Little confusing is that in all tutorials, even the on on the DC site, the UI of the tool is different.
But that's now Problem. The current Version is lot easier. Just "Standard Mode", select Update.app (full), Click Update.
The Phone gets flashed with fastboot, DC will restart it to update mode and will flash again. All automatic.
Really easy.
so you paid 15 USD ?

Hey @leoleo333, I did exactly the same thing that you did and had exactly the same problem as a result. I considered myself fairly knowledgeable about Android and Huawei/honor mobiles... I tried everything you can think of and spent months trawling the internet for a solution and was unable to fix it. I posted here on XDA and even the most knowledgeable members were unable to help. You should do a search of my XDA posts relating to this.
That said,I am using my honor 5C right now! I didn't realise that my warranty was 24 months,I thought it was 12 months. Hence why I spent so many months trying to fix the problem myself. By chance I found out I still had warranty and sent it to the repair centre. It was so easy and straight forward and in a matter of days they had fixed and returned my beloved mobile. I even had a slight defect on the screen as a result of falling over and they even repaired that free of charge!
All I can say is that I hope and pray you have warranty :fingers-crossed: or you can kiss your mobile goodbye. Sorry. Please do let me know if you fix it yourself though, I'd be really interested to know where I went wrong. Thx.

He has already explained that....!
It doesnt matter if you use multi tool or manual commands...You cant flash stock recovery because every fastboot command comes back 'remote command not allowed' and this is because the os will not boot so you cant enable oem unlock and usb debugging in order to unlock bootloader and have full use of adb/fastboot.
The dload method will install the update.app, it will even go to 100% and say success but it will NOT boot the OS. It will stay stuck on boot animation until the battery dies. Search my posts here on XDA (stuck on boot logo).
I think it has to do with the partitions or the filesystem...I'm afraid i cant help you with that @leoleo333
@leoleo333 , you mention that your bootloader is unlocked...I think you should double check that. if it was unlocked you would be able to use fastboot commands and flash whatever you want. I have read many posts on XDA where members report that their bootloader is unlocked and the device says as much but in fact that is not the case! Let me know how things go. Good Luck.
I managed to fix it couple of days ago with dload method, it actually worked for me i would try it before but i did not had micro sd card
Nice, Im really glad that the dload method was all it took to fix it. Take it easy now.

Same issue fixed by me
Software install failed but successfully booted
Hi there,
This is for EVA-L09.
How this came about:
I was relocking my bootloader when it failed(fastboot changed to locked though) however, continued onto reboot anyway. It didnt reach the EMUI lowlevel wipe stage
Device info:
EVA-L09
Nougat
C432 B391 (If I remember correctly)
FRP unlocked
bootloader ???
phone functionality:
whenever it turns on I just get huawei logo regardless of key combos
seemingly unable to fastboot
Unable to force update (Vol +&- & Power)
Unable to recovery mode
I was wondering if anyone has had a similar situation or any insight how to fix this.
Most solutions I've found require fastboot but once my device starts charging the logo appears then only restarting by holding power is available.
I expect the cause to be the issue relocking the bootloader.
thanks for any insight.
Edit/Notes: I have sucessfully unbricked this device before via the dload method however unable to. (rollback to 4.1EMUI and 6.0 then changed to C432 B168 and upgraded from there)
I do have a DC Pheonix account on standby if I ever can fastboot

As you say, you cannot go to Fastboot even by power off, Vol- and connecting USB?
It doesn't help now but when you were relocking (btw why, but you may had your reasons for), did you have clean stock without root and TWRP (since relocking ininitates full reset)?
TG, I never used DC Phoenix but maybe you can unbrick by Method 3 (seems, it does not rely on Fastboot?):
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/DC-Phoenix-flash-repair-tutorial
sometimes people do mistake trying to boot in fastboot while are not conected to pc, connect phone and pc with usb, then try to force restart holding power more than 30 sec together with vol -. If cable are not connected, you never will boot in fastboot and find a way to test if your usb cable working properly!! i bought one non-huawei cable, it was new, but with that cable i wasnt able to boot in fastboot, duno why, so there need to be original cable for this! (maybe i bought foulty cable, duno , with non-huawi cable i can easy charge, transfer data to pc, but when tried to use adb comands, sometime it worked, sometime not, but with original cable got no problems at all)
Thank you for both of your comments. I have now successfully recovered via DC-Phoenix.
I was just getting unlucky with holding down the Vol - key it seems as I eventually got into fastboot which then allowed DC-PHOENIX to solve the problem.
The Huawei wire which I bought is third party and I have noticed connection dropping which may have caused me to not enter fastboot as it had unconnected(but not visibly). This happens during normal system boot as well when I'm trying to use MTP.
