Thanks, never mind, It is still a Security Update.
Sick and tired of Sprint and there updates. By the time us Sprint users get the update we've all been waiting for the new android os will be out.

I'm actually surprised about this since they were first with the V30 on updates
I shared my disappointment about this on Sprints support forum and told them I already rooted and flashed Pie because of their "ignorance"... They deleted my post, hahaha

Not Sure, I haven't got the update. maybe someone will provide us a download link. So we don't have too wait for the OTA too pop up.
Thanks, didn't see it though. Seems like an important update, or why they want to push it out while the 4.4 is coming. BTW, the 4.4.1 is in the make. I hate google. If the update is as easy as the windows update, then no problem, but this updates are so hard, take so long time.

I believe this update will bring new radio and most likely a prl change. Still haven't seen update as I am on East Coast. Also running logcat too help provide DL link when it pops up. unless someone gets the link posted first
waiting for the new firmware as well. Hopefully dev will be able to provide a firmware only to flash over existing ROM.

The Update was pulled by Sprint. Reason still unknown. HTC asking sprint questions why. This was going too be last update before KitKat rolls out. Expecting Roll Out date for Android 4.4 should be Jan 20-24.

Where'd you hear that timeline?
So today, I was out helping my mother, and her s7 edge said it had a pending software update. It happened to be android oreo, I'll get the sw baseband version and everything shortly

I'm using the beta and it's not pulling the update from their servers. Guess I need to flash back to bra1
My update just showed. Downloading now. Download speeds are painfully slow. I'm guessing due to high volume. Now if we could only find an easy option for root.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm not getting the update. Mine is unlocked and use an t mobile sim card but nothing
You will only receive the OTA update if you are using an AT&T SIM. There is another thread in this forum that you can use to download the updates and flash manually. Make sure you back your data up.

Yea, (in case we are having 'a bit of fun'), a Nokia 7 Plus developer while developing the patch had put a video of his and his wife's foreplay (and probably postplay, seriously who knows?) on the system for 'educational purposes', and by mistake pushed it with the update, after realizing what he did, they had to pull the update down, this is the reason why even those who updated to Nov patch are still showing Oct patch and those who have already updated are the lucky lot, Nokia is allegedly paying bribes to them to not leak the footage and have prohibited to release the patch.

That's not an update. Same security patch and Android 9. That's why the RM3 and 3S won't ever get an actual update because people defend them.
Also that Chinese ROM sends data back to China.

Is it just bug fixes and stuff? The Chinese forum even has a change log for the January update it got. I'm just grasping at straws here, I cannot sell the phone and want to get it on the latest Android version I can. I know the development is basically dead.

Those "updates" are nothing more then additional bloat. You know the stuff every phone owner hates. Still the same Android 9 same old security patch. Nothing is updated. The remove bloat in some patches and then add it back in another.
But **** how is that January security patch then? That rom should have it if its an "update"
Does anyone know if it was pulled or simply never uploaded to the image pages? Full / OTA not available but probably by the time I post this it will be there.

I don't think it was pulled because they're available on Android Flash Tool. We'll just have to be patient. Same thing happened several months ago.

My phone is an unlocked P7 on T-Mo, and I was sent the T-Mo update OTA. I'd love to know what the difference is between the base update and the T-Mo version. BTW, the OTA update was only 21MB.

I got the OTA about 9PM (Ireland)
Seems to be snappier and app opening times and system app opening seems to be faster and smoother

No clue at the moment. T-Mobile was having problems with last month's update (most people on T-Mobile didn't get an OTA update) so I would imagine some of it addresses the problems they were having.
