k20 pro board name - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Hi there I have a chinese k20 or I was thinking it's chinese from the color of the box and the stickers on the back my question is my device's bootloader already unlocked and flashed the indian rom on it I've noticed from cpu-z that the board name is raphaelin which is the indian variant is it possible that the name changed due to the current rom(indian)?

Yes, it changed due to flashing Indian rom.

Ok thanks for response.
But I see with link if you use Global phone you can't use miui china version ?
If I unlock my BL and flash Custom Rom Xiaimi.eu based on China miui version Rom !
They had mistake if I make Ota update of Xiaomi.eu Rom ? No risk lock it and brick it ?
Ps : Yes I understand just don't flash the chinese stable or dev Rom and vise versa !!! With Custom Rom no mistake just if you use miflash don't lock.
Thanks.
You can have every custom rom you want.. for example xiaomieu,it doesnt mean something what kind of source it is. You can use xiaomieu based on china rom with your global version smartphone!
Btw xiaomieu doesnt have ota updates you need to flash manually from twrp every time.

Yes you can crossflash roms, for now there are only 2 main versions Raphael & Raphaelin and the only difference between them both is the presence of NFC coil!
Regards,
acervenky
While you can crossflash roms, you would have to unlock your bootloader and the bootloader cannot be relocked while on firmwares not for your device.

Version confusion, Ads, NFC, Update

So here I've gathered some information found in the internet but I still have some confusions. Please help me.
RAPHAEL - K20 Pro - XXXCNXX - Chinese
RAPHAELEEAGlobal - MI 9T - XXXEUXX - European
RAPHAELININ - K20 Pro - XXXINXX - Indian
RAPHAELRUGlobal - MI 9T - XXXRUXX - Russian
RAPHAELGlobal - ??? - XXXMIXX - ???
Which region is RAPHAELGlobal and what's it called?
Which region has call recording?
Which region gets updates fast (except China)?
And lastly I know that the Indian variant has no NFC but I don't know if all the others have.
Just buy a k20 pro/mi 9t aka Raphael and install miui.eu for the best stock setup without ads, with nfc, call recording.
There's only two models Raphael and Raphaeli. The latter which is Indian and without nfc.

The global version is for all others regions that don't have a specific region ROM and is for the global version of the Mi 9T Pro. You might want to call it global Global.
Europe and global ROMs don't have call recording.
So far, for MIUI 11, India came first, then European, global has not got a MIUI 11 release yet. But there's no guarantee that will always be the same order in future.
All other versions have NFC.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm going to buy this device and was really confused about which to get. I'll go for the "global global" version.
@Robbo.5000 can I buy a Chinese K20 Pro and flash global rom in it? Is there any global rom for Chinese K20 Pro? As the global version is called MI 9T?

The phone is Mi 9T Pro outside of China and India.
Yes, you can flash any region ROM on any region phone. (So can flash a global ROM for the Mi 9T Pro onto a Chinese K20 Pro.) OTA updates will continue to work.
You need to unlock the bootloader to be able to cross flash ROMs from different regions and you will not be able to lock it after. You will brick the phone if you try to relock the bootloader with a ROM for a different region installed.

I hope you guys don't do this. Many people have bricked their phones doing this.

They only brick their phones because they forget to change the flash option and so accidentally lock the bootloader. I have pointed that out in my above post.

Thanks, where can I find all the fastboot ROMs? It seems Xiaomi changed "en.miui.com/a-234.html" this link, I wasn't active on the development side of Android for some times so I'm kinda lost.

These are untouched and taken directly from the Xiaomi download pages. Probably the best source for Xiaomi ROMs outside of official Xiaomi website.
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/
The old global MIUI site had moved to the new Mi Community site. Check it out here https://c.mi.com/global.
The article you link to has been moved to the Mi Community site, but recently, within the last month or so, I've no longer been able to find it.
I believe I have posted links to the new version previously here, so if I searched my xda posts I might be able to find the link to it's new home.

This is the official fastboot guide, which also contains all the latest fastboot ROMs.
For some reason I get a blank page on my phone. I have to change to desktop mode on my browser in order to see this.

Redmi K20 Pro I cannot install the Indian version

Hi guys
I have the Redmi K20 Pro phone Chinese version
It has the Rom, global version
I want to convert it to the Indian version but I couldn't pass the Indian Rom
Even take advantage of the Xiaomi calls app
A message says that the image and device do not match
What's the solution
Or tell me how to add the Xiaomi calls app without returning to the Chinese version

K20 pro downgrading or flashing globL roms

Hi,
I bought k20 pro few days ago (indian) and updated to miui 12 and i really don't like indian so i wanted to flash global or I'm planing to downgrade but i came tk know that indian version has anti roll back enabled so doing it will permanently break my sensors.
I'm requesting the experts to help me in this to not to break my sensors while flashing or downgrading and even if something goes wrong i can't goto service centre because of covid restrictions.
Thanks.

I am from Bangladesh, But My device is Global.
I flashed China Version, Global version, Upgrade version, Down grade version, Never faced any problem.
But don't know more about Indian version.
You can check the above links.
Just always, always, always remember, Never select "Clean All & Lock" with MI flash tool. This is the most important.
