Based on early reviews of OPPO's VOOC which is the OP Dash charging system, this seems far superior to any QC or even iPhone charging system on the market. By taking the heat out to the actual charger block @ around 20 watts over 7pins it is faster and cooler than QC2.0 and cooler than Moto's QC2.0+.

Even OP's Dash looks identical to OPPO's VOOC

I would like to categorize what is available on the market for Dash/VOOC.
(OPPOstyle.com is slightly confusing if it is real or just a showroom)
VOOC Charger: $49 http://na.oppostyle.com/vooc-flash-charger-us-plug
DASH Charger: $19.95 https://oneplus.net/dash-charge-power-adapter
DASH Cable: $14.95 https://oneplus.net/dash-charge-type-c-cable
Combo Cable+Charger: $33
VOOC Car Charger: $49 http://www.oppo.com/en/accessories/in-car-flash-charger
DASH Car Charger: $29.95 https://oneplus.net/dash-charge-car-charger
VOOC 6000mAh Brick: $48 http://www.oppo.com/en/accessory-vooc-power-bank
Would be great to see other manufacturers buy into this system, hopefully OPPO can license it.
Super MOOC is on the horizon.

Oppo doesn't use USB C to my knowledge. But valid point.
20 amps? I guess you mean 20 Watts = 5V * 4A
60% in 30 minutes, awesome. Since I have several QC chargers at home, it will be interesting how slow charging will be with those.
I really want the Dash car charger, but €45 (charger+cable) is a bit steep IMO.
Edit: according to their AMA, there will be no licensed dash chargers. So we'll have to get the expensive ones from OnePlus. Fair enough.

Im hoping all my QC chargers will work fine as well (expecting around 1:45 to get close to fully charged), ill be swapping between a G5 and the OP3 and do not really want to have to keep changing chargers
Its 100% secure you can use the Oppo chargers and works like Dash?

They are not interchangeable as far as quick charging goes
QC2.0 wall charger will drip charge the OP3
Dash/VOOC wall charger will drip charge the G5
Where Drip Charge = the 2.1amp limit of the cable.

Yeap, that is what I am hoping it does. 2amp is sufficient enough when I swap phones. Once I pick the DD i'll use their respective quickcharge adapter
Is there a adapter that works for oppos microusb vooc charger to usb-c dash charging. That would have been great since I already have 4 VOOC chargers but the cable is non removable from the charger.
Actually they are the same thing;
Here is the offical reply on Weibo

DASH is a technology from OPPO just like VOOC .
They (DASH/VOOC) are just different brand.
I'll upload an OxygenOS V3.1.2 for OP3 (the stock rom) as soon as possible.
I've just got it from the OFFICAL BBS in Chinese.
www .oneplusbbs .com/thread-2782858-1-1.html
(I can't send a regular url,cause I'm new on XDA.) QAQ
They are the same thing, but the specification allows authentication of the components. The question is, did they lock out VOOC in Dash?
Well all of VOOC is USB micro for now. So it is physically locked out, but I think you could use the actual charger block with a DASH cable.
Also hope that VOOC Charger will work with DASH.
But since the OP3 started to arrive at customers, maybe someone can test it?
I'm really interested in the car charger and the VOOC bank.. specially if the cable on the bank is swappable
Has anyone tried to use a different USB type c cable, a third party one?
the Oneplus 3 cable is too short for my needs. i will order one soon to try but would like to know first. thanks :good:

Third party cables actually don't work with DASH.. if think it needs time..
Tested the oneplus 2 1.5m USB C and it's not working with DASH charging.. It did charge but not at fast speeds.

i did think it wont work, i guess we all have to wait a bit, all phone companies should release phones with 2m cables out the box lol
Yeah I really want a longer cable. 3ft/1m doesn't cut it for me.
So I got the phone and an additional Dash charger+cable. What confuses me is why are the 2 cables different? Round vs Flat.
Everything I can find says that the only way we can "quick" charge is with the official OP Dash charger?
anything else we use will only do normal/slow charge?
As far as I know, this is correct. Dash Charge and Quick Charge are entirely different technologies that are used to accomplish a similar goal.
I believe that you can still use the QC charger, but as a normal charger. Just like Dash Charger when plug other phone in, it just turn into normal charger. But there is a potential problem here, Dash Charge works by pumping a lot of amps and keep the voltage the same, while Quick Charge doing it vise-versa, and QC is a technology develop by Qualcomm, meaning the SoC itself in the OP3/3T would support it, it just the rest of the hardware do not. If for whatever reason, the QC charger still provide more voltage than 5V, it could damage the phone. I don't know what is the max voltage the 3T can take before it get damage. If you want an official answer, get it from OP.
USB C plugs will work from what I've read, but nothing will quick charge but the Dash chargers--just normal chargers. Which is fine for me honestly, I use a regular charger at home (overnight) and keep the dash charger with me for work/etc where I need to pump juice faster.
That's dumb....I was hoping for quick charge 3.0 support plus dash charging. GAH! I might get a dash car charger then....I use my phone a lot. I like being able to charge fast while I use GPS. I use GPS a ton. And my new portable charger....QC 3.0.... That part of it is useless now.... grrrrr, but is this verified?
Maybe we all should contact Anker, and ask for Dash Charge support. What I very want is the multi ports car charger with at least one Dash Charge. But such charger do not exist anywhere.

Would love to see some 3rd party support.. in principle the idea of moving this function outside the phone seems appealing... but I hate only having 1 vendor to buy from... and I'm not even clear.. can I use the Dash charger to charge my non-OP devices? (ie. reducing the # of gizmos I have to travel with).

Yes but it won't "dash" charge them.
I asked the same sort of question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69856748&postcount=5
I've been using an anker QC 3.0 charger on the OP3T and it charges fine.
it doesn't get hot, doesn't say it's fast charging but it seems to charge at a reasonable rate nonetheless.

Thanks for that.
I'm interested in knowing if the voltage/amps/whatever are going to mess with the OPO battery that's not rated for the Q3.0.
Does anyone know if USB-PD charging would on the 3T? I ask this because as a nexus 6P user i have a number of charging accessories, and USB-PD is baked into the USB-C standard. So logic would dictate assuming the 3T conforms to the standard it should be able to charge at 5V 3A, which would be slower than dash charge, but quicker than the average charger.
Have a good one!
I have a 7 port anker usb3 hub that has 2 charging ports and a 2amp 12v wall wart. It charges just as fast as the OP3T charger. Full charge from 50% after work in under an hour.

As everyone knows, Dash and VOOC are basically the same, no need to talk on that. Anything VOOC will work for Dash perfectly.
As for Warp and SuperVOOC, its a bit more complicated, but after doing some research, I think I've cracked the code. Before explain anything, here are the specs of Warp and SuperVOOC respectively
Warp Charge - 5V 6A = 30W
SuperVOOC - 10V 5A = 50W
Ok, so I stumbled across this forum post for the OP6T McLaren Edition, which the discussion is about the SuperVOOC car charger and whether it is compatible with Warp Charge. A user that owns the charger replied that it doesn't charge at full Warp speed, but is faster than Dash charge definitely.
That sparked my interest, I started looking around and found a post in Japanese on Twitter, in which they tested a SuperVOOC powerbank on a OP7Pro and its charging at 5V 5A. Starting to make sense?
So, my guess is, since SuperVOOC is based on a 2-cell battery in the phone in order to work, OP either didn't want to or weren't allowed to do it(or they have other reasons), so they stuck with 1 battery cell in the phone, which only allows up to 5V (SuperVOOC works by having two 5V cells in series so =10V). So OP tweaked the SuperVOOC system to allow 6A instead of 5A, and kept the voltage to 5V, and Warp Charge was born. Since it is a tweaked version of SuperVOOC, it will still have some kind of compatibility with it. Therefore when using a Warp phone(6TMCLaren or OP7Pro), SuperVOOC works but since theres only one battery cell, its only getting 5V, but since its compatible with the SuperVOOC system, it can still get the 5A that SuperVOOC outputs, therefore the user in the forum post i mentioned above was getting faster speeds than Dash using SuperVOOC while slower speeds than Warp.
Conclusion
VOOC=Dash=20W
Warp Phone with Warp = 30W
Warp Phone with SuperVOOC = 25W
So, if you want a 25W charging experience with powerbanks, you can try out SuperVOOC powerbanks.
*Edit: Thinking about it, since OP named it Warp Charge 30, the full 50W version might be coming soon, maybe with the next device? Who knows
did not try yet, but curious what will happen with a warp phone on dash, will it be charged in 20w?

You can try? My 1st party oneplus 6t dash charger will dash charge my 7 pro, but my third party car dash charger slow charges my 7 pro, but had no problem dash charging my 6t/6.

Good work. I know this thread is old but the amazon.com listing for this charger states OnePlus 7T and 8 Pro are supported up to 25W.
Hi everyone I just bought an awsom x2 pro but without any accessories I want to know which charger to buy because the 50 w one doesn't exist in my country but the 20w or 30 wrap charger from one plus is current on sale and even the 27w from xiaomi plz if any one tried this phone with one of this chargers let me know or even a pd charger.

I don't think any of the Anker, Aukey, Ravpower etc (even ones that are 50W, 65W or more) can charge this phone at max speed due to difference in protocols. I'd love If I can find a third party charger to charge phone at full speed.
However, some people suggested this:
https://www.ebay.fr/itm/202868041821
It's a little expensive, but it should be a genuine charger.
However if you didn't have that in mind and wanted something different, any charger you use that has a PD or QC 3.0 standard will charge the phone at 18W.
Thank you for the reply! I have several 18w chargers & I found a 30w wrap charger that comes withe the one plus 8 I matter of fact I don't have the possibility to buy online only at local stores unfortunately, but thank very much for your advice and have a nice day.

Yeah OnePlus has a different protocol so it can't work at full speed unfortunately
A question...
Can anybody recommend a decent supervooc car charger for the X5 Pro?
Is it even worth getting one bearing in mind you've got 80w mains charging?
I've looked on Amazon and AliExpress, but haven't managed to identify one, and Oppo don't seem to do one?
Or should I just stick with my slower bit still capable 20w dash car charger that I still have from my Oneplus 6t?
Thoughts and suggestions please...
Kind regards, Rabziggy.
Does the oppo support PD charging in the car? What's the fastest non-vooc charger?
My car's built-in wireless charger is very slow with the oppo
