Hi there,
I'm not actually aware of Substratum being compatible with Android 10. Since there are no themes for Android 10 yet, no one has really something to test it. My theme should work with no issues, since it's just theming an app and not system things. If errors happen, 9 out of 10 they are Substratum-related.
You may want to try out Substratum Lite and see if it applies themes.

Heya! Version 1.2 is live!
Changelog:
The themes now contains 80 wallpapers, hurray!
Added 5 new solid colours backgrounds
Added a solid black background
Added 3 new colour gradients backgrounds
Added 7 new wallpaper backgrounds
Download link in the OP

Ciao, will test 1.2 soon on MIUI 10.5

Bummer. Is the installation error occurring within substratum or as you try to install the package?
And if it is within substratum, is there a specific background you are trying to install? Are you getting any logchat?
Also, what is your phone, substratum and Android version?

The error occurs during download from the XDA app

Here is a picture of it. I like it. It's nice but I think the Chevy logo would be nicer with a black background. But it's still nice. Thank you for this it gives my car a fresh look.

Maybe in a future release I will give all the vehicules' logos a solid black background. It will be a pretty big ammount of work. Thanks for the feedback!

No it's fine. It's perfect. It makes everything just more pronounced. The amount of current wallpapers available is insane. I'm downloading a bunch of them as we speak. Thank you so much for this. I mentioned the app in the OnePlus 7 pro forums.

So have you applied the theme on Android 10 open beta 1?

Edit:
Magisk modules seemed to be the problem. It held on to the cache and Data. After removing the module and simply only adding SU privileges it works fine.

Yeah I've got in this situation twice. That module gets buggy after some time.

Wait, wasn't it working before on 10?

Working fine here: Pixel 3 XL running QP1A.190711.020, root with Magisk Canary 19.4 (19304), Substratum Lite 0.3.35 and the latest release of Android Auto Background 1.2.

Android Auto 4.6.5933 is out.
Good news! Android Auto Backgrounds is fully compatible!
If the background is not applied, once updated Android Auto, just rebuild it through Substratum!

Bravo, with Substratum Lite seems to work also on MIUI 10.5 and Android Auto 4.6.5933, next step please add custom wallpaper

Happy that this works.
Unfortunately, with Substratum you can't let the user choose a wallpaper from the storage to be applied.
That could be achieved with a dedicated app. The thing is that for changing wallpaper in Android Auto, you have to modify a resource (an image) in the package of AA. So it would require de-compiling the APK and compiling it back again. And you can't just jerry rig a wallpaper inside and build it back because of signatures (that would break the connection between phone and headunit).
So, I think that it could be achieved via Xposed module, since with Xposed you can modify resources at runtime, but:
A) Xposed fell out of interested lately
B) I don't currently have the know-how to make it so
BTW you are free to suggest more wallpapers, and in the next releases I'll include them

Edit--- I got it working! Disregard.
Does this only display on the new layout of Android auto? I'm updated to the latest version but for some reason I don't have the option to try the new layout. I am new to substratum but I have root. Device is 1plus6T. I am assuming I just go into the app select the wallpaper and click build and install? It says it's applied successfully but I still have the default background. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been waiting for a mod like this forever so I'm anxious to get it working!!

Anyway you could add this wallpaper? Or anything similar. I wasn't sure the resolution you needed but here is the source page. Any of the focus ST logos I would really appreciate!!
https://wallpaper-gallery.net/gallery/ford-focus-st-wallpaper.html
I also added a picture of my car too not sure if that's taking it too far
Thank you so much for building this!! I have always wanted a mod like this!

Heya! Version 1.3 is live! - Game Of Thrones Update!
Fancy some GoT? AA Wallpaper got you!
Added 9 GoT Houses wallpapers
Added Ford ST wallpaper
Now app has an icon
Download link in the OP

Great job! That's a long time waited... Android Auto personalization. Amazing!
It works very well.
One question... Is it possible to modify the bottom bar?
And an issue that I have with the 16-bit skyline theme. I can't activate it
Thanks so much!

T-Mobile/CM7 Theme List App!!

Edit: posted the app in the Market with updates. Get it here: http://bit.ly/theme_chooser
This will list all current CM7/T-Mobile themes. When you click a theme it will take you to the Android Market or website hosting the theme. You can filter by free/paid/hdpi/mdpi/ldpi and search by developer/description/name.
I have been working hard at re-doing Liberty Toolbox into a ROM Toolbox for every phone. A side project with that was creating a T-Mobile theme list for inside the Toolbox. My project is getting so big I developed the app as a side app so I could avoid waiting so long on building. I decided to share the app that will be included in ROM Toolbox.
This app was inspired by THIS thread. Major props to maxpower47 for building the list.
The list in the app is pulled from data on my server. If you would like to update this list it's easy to do and will show up in the app instantly. The list is here: http://jrummy16.com/jrummy/romtoolbox/tmobile_themes/tmobile_themes.xml
Please let me know if you would like to take the huge task of updating the list (gtalk: [email protected])

New stuff:
- Custom TitleBar
-- Click the icon to open Theme Chooser
-- Long Press the icon to show/hide search tool
- Long Click item
- Don't reload data on switching orientation
- Don't show keyboard when first opening the app
- Some other stuff
I like this idea, downloading now to test. I'll let you know just now how it runs on Oxygen 2.2.
By the way, the link you posted to the list of themes points to a XML file, not a webpage...
Edit: Looks like it works nicely... I like the way the search feature filters the list as you type, that's a really nice touch! Have you got any way to show themes added to the list since the last time it was opened?

Thanks for testing it out. I like your suggestion too! I will have to update that. I just updated the filter to include "By Developer..". it's bed time for now though.
Thanks for this! Works great!
Sweet!! Downloading now, thanks for making this!
This is very nice. Thanks for making life even more convenient.
Just 1 minor problem. Let's say I filter the app to only show "free/donate themes." If the the theme link takes me to a market link, then I click the back button to go back to the app, it keeps my filter settings and goes back to the same theme I left off at. This doesn't happen though if the theme link takes me to a post here at XDA.
If the link brings me to XDA, then I click the back button to go back to the app, the app resets my filter settings and starts me over at the top of the list. Definitely not a deal breaker but gets pretty annoying since not all themes are in the market. Is there any way for it to keep my settings and my place, if it opens the browser for an XDA link?
Works great.. really good idea Thanks!

I was running 1.0 (installed before the update yesterday), so I tested with that before updating to 1.1.
Both versions the filter retains it's settings on my Desire whether the link takes me to Market or XDA. Perhaps it's something specific to either your device or your ROM? Works perfectly on Desire with Oxygen 2.2.
By the way Jrummy16, I really love the 'transparent' application theme you put in... Nice touch! Unfortunately though my chosen interface fonts (Sansation and SansationLight) make things interesting, but that's not a problem at all. I'm off to get the donate version now.
Awesome, love it!
Two requests:
1. Multiple filters at once (i.e. Free and HDPI)
2. (this may be hard, too much work!) in app screen shots!

I'd also agree with the first suggestion, perhaps setting up the filters as tick-boxes in a list instead of a pop-up menu would make it easier?
I think having screenshots in the list of themes would make it look messy (my honest opinion), but perhaps an indication of whether the theme is located in Market or XDA would be nice?
Either way, I'm still finding more and more interesting themes to try..
Updated in the market with multiple filter. .
bad sss
thanks
Omggggg ive been waiting on an app like this for so long!!!
Thanks so much!! Im abusing it!
I had an idea last night that would make this an even more useful app, but it sort of depends on how it works currently though... Does it store a list of themes locally or does it have to download the list each time you open the app?
It would be nice to be able to see what themes have been added to the list since the last time the app was opened.. With the number of themes in the list already, it would be really easy to miss newly added themes without even realising it.
For example:
On first run:
Themes
Theme 1
Theme 2
Theme 3
Theme 4
Click to collapse
This list would then be saved to the app's cache, and on the next launch it would be compared to the themes currently listed on the server (perhaps by a unique theme reference ID or something like that?).
On second run:
New Themes
Theme 5
Theme 6
Themes
Theme 1
Theme 2
Theme 3
Theme 4
Click to collapse
This would allow themes recently added to the theme list to be shown at the top of the list until the app is restarted (or 'notifications' cleared, whichever works best).
What do you think..?

v1.5 - Ads (hey, there was a donation option, but no one used it, but I will throw up a pro version for $.99 that removes the ads and possibly adds one of the features below a little early)
v2.0 - View comments
v2.0 - Apply filters to wallpapers before saving them (black and white, etc.)
thank you !!!
gtg i had one of your roms on my samsung infuse before i switched also. glad to see you!
Very nicely done. Simple and straight to the point.
At first glance, I thought the button in the app bar was to "download" rather than "load more" photos. I expected the app to automatically load photos as I reached the bottom of the list.
Still, very well done, and its awesome that it automatically grabs a proper sized wallpaper from interfacelift, which is a great site too btw.
Oh my god I love you.
This app is fantastic, thanks!

The next version is coming along nicely. I added auto loading so you don't have to keep pressing the button as well as the ability to map photos that have location information.

Was totally gonna suggest a method to save favorite images. Great work!
Live tiles would be awesome too. Maybe have it pull random or newly added images. Something like that.
Also, not a big fan of the app tile. The app is so Metro-focused, and the tile for the app itself is so completely un-Metro, it just doesn't fit.
v1.1 is in the Marketplace now and I just submitted the final version of v1.2.

Haha. No idea, but when I think of one I'll let you know.
I figure something simple and clear, that conforms with the user's accent color.
Edit: Just threw together something real quick. Simple and to the point, matches the user's accent tile, has both the ApplicationIcon.png and Background.png. Just a phone with a paintbrush in it. Something like that.
Thanks for the idea prjkthack. I went with something very similar to your suggestion.
v1.3 is posted in the first post with a few new screenshots. Get it while it's hot. Give feedback!
Nice to see you're enjoying some WP7 dev work gtg. I'm still enjoying one of your ROMs on my Infuse and picked up an HTC Titan to play around with. Nice work on this app.

Haha. I was totally thinking about that one too, with the brush actually painting something, but I felt a simpler image would have sufficed and was more Metro without getting too complicated or busy.
Looks great! Great work! =]
Just uploaded a slightly newer build of v1.3. Shifted the large tile icon up a couple pixels, changed wording in one place, and fixed the scroll bars that went missing in the previously uploaded version.
Just submitted v1.4 to the Marketplace.
Changes:
App redesigned to incorporate a panorama view with a dynamic background showcasing the latest wallpaper
New Popular page that features the most downloaded wallpapers from the past two weeks
Removed the donation option (no one used it)
Minor bug fix
Screenshots:
As usual, a xap is available for those who are developer unlocked.
v1.4 just dropped in the Marketplace. A couple small changes since the last beta xap was posted. Get it while it's hot.
Also, check out the app after setting your phone theme to light. I don't see many apps with both dark and light themed panorama views (usually they remain the same regardless of your theme), so I took it upon myself to do so.
App doesn't seem to work, it throws a "Can't reach InterfaceLIFT" error every time I open it.
I'm connected to 3G and Wifi, and InterfaceLIFT is up, so what's the deal?
Edit: Apparently, the app stops working entirely if you're connected to a PC when you try to use it (even if Zune isn't running on the PC). Works now, but the background image on the panorama has terrible banding. I believe there's a setting for bit-depth in Visual Studio that fixes this (it's 16-bit by default, needs to be 32bit).

Odd. The app works fine on my Titan and Lumia 800 when they're connected to my computer. What phone do you use?
Also, I don't see any way to set the bit depth of a panorama background. I've only noticed very slight banding on a couple backgrounds, but most don't show any on my Titan or 800.

Oneplus OneMod Theme

Hello All,
I've been searching for days trying to find a theme or icons used in the Oneplus promo images (with the flat grey app drawer icon, from my research I'm thinking it's called the OneMod theme, exclusive to the 1+1) and it's no where yet. There are a couple themes in the Play store that mimick the look, but they aren't really functional yet, and for some reason the developer decided it would only be for those that already have the CM Theme store (doesn't really seem like the target audience). Would anyone with the device be able to lift the icons or create a theme similar? I've been obsessing over it.

Wouldn't what you're looking for be the GreatFreedom theme pulled from the rom of the One itself?
Otherwise this theme has the flat, Grey app drawer button you referenced. I've been using a combination of that and the GreatFreedom theme to really emulate CM11S (not that's there's much difference from CM11 anyway). I just need the lock screen! Hope this helps!

Thanks for replying! For some reason I can't get the Oneplus cm11 theme from Chisapps to work, even though I have the CM Theme Store installed. Actually the theme store craps out on me when I scroll through the themes, every time it gets to GreatFreedom it gives me "Unfortunately the theme store has stopped working", even though I installed the GreatFreedom zip. But in the description for the cm11 theme, it says it doesn't work with the theme store, so I applied as instructed and it just applies SOME of the icons. I've tried a few times, I don't know what the deal is.
Again, thanks for the input.

For grey app drawer you apply first de Oneplus One theme paid version (all checks), and after you apply Oneplus One theme free (only check styles). With this you get an almost perfect imitation of one plus, as in this screenshot

That's probably the route I'll take once I figure out where I went wrong while installing Themestore, as I get an error when scrolling through the theme. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Zip with the icons extracted out of the .apk..

Hexo icons for Nova
Can something make the hexo icons into a icon set compatible with nova launcher please. Or explain how it is done? Thanks J

Awesome man, thank you for doing that! I'm just going to assume the app drawer icon isn't extractable like the rest.
HEXO
The app draw icon will be in there somewhere in the system dump..probably in the Oneplus.apk I would think or the launcher..
Id like someone to use the icon resources and make a nova compatible icon theme. Then they can be used on non cm11 devices as well..
Thanks
Attached to this post, you find recovery flashable .zip -files of the Hexo.apk + HexoIcons.apk. By flashing them and having the CyanogenMod 11 Theme Engine on your phone you can use the "Hexo"-Theme which exists out of the two before named .apk -files!
Also, you can see that OnePlus has already applied this Theme to their OnePlus Ones rocking the latest version of CyanogenMod 11S (HNPH22Q) in this official OnePlus Google+ post!
Cheers!

I'd love to be able to run the Hexo theme through the app store, but it just hasn't worked on my device (htc one m7). I'm running the most recent nightly, have M4rt1n94's theme choose, theme provider and theme store installed, and the files you attached, but when I go into the Theme store/Theme Showcase, and click View in Theme Choose, I get "Unfortunately, Themes Provider has stopped." Same message when I try to access a theme/icon via settings.
is this work for Galaxy NExus CM 11 Nightly ??
thanks!

SCREENSHOTS/PREVIEWS
In this release:
Advice: delete the previous version first, because I've changed the app name and package name.
Faster animations.
Some changes & redesigns with general UI.
Some tweaks with Clock app because of showing "red" things.
New wallpaper and lockscreen pictures, made by Juanz Romero.
The new wallpapers are also available available HERE.
Deleted icon pack (Excuse me, but I had to).
Other minor fixes and improvements.
Notes:
If you want Status Bar and Nav Bar with the color from the app you're using, you must donwload "Tinted Status Bar (BETA)" from Xposed Framework.
This theme doesn't work with rooted Stock rom.
Are you following my theme since the beggining? Did you liked the previous fonts? Now you can download them as a flashable zip, but remember to do a backup of the default fonts, I'm not responsible if you lose them.

Good to see you back. I will give it a test and report back on any issues.
Nice theme, thanks for it. If I may suggest 1 thing, some of the system pop ups like Power Off, Restart look kind of odd. Maybe a different bg could be used where the text field is? Thanks again, hope you keep up support for this!
Glad to see you back again and I'm loving your new theme its running and looking great so far on LiquidSmooth on my Nexus 5 thanks again and can't wait to see future updates
Welcome back! Nice to see you again

Apollo music has white on white controls in the notification drawer. They are visible but maybe they could be changed to black icons?

Well, actually if I include Solid Action Bars in every app, I would have to theming above 10000 apps, so I can't. If may be I didn't undestand well what you were trying to say, please be more clear.
About the icons, being respectful with you, I like it, it stays. Sorry.

Ever thought the new Android Auto background wallpaper is very ugly? You hate anything that is stock and commonly adopted? Ever asked why Android Auto developers won't let the user choose between different backgrounds and just put an horrendous wallpaper?
If yes is the answer to any of the questions above, you are in the right place!
Introducing my first Substratum Theme, and it's all about Android Auto!
Pre-Requisite:
In order to use Wallpapers For AA you'll need to have Substratum installed on your phone.
Don't know what the heck is substratum? Here's the official starting guide

This feature is not active yet (as of 2020/01/25) and it needs further setup.
Please, read the release notes to learn more.

Heya! Version 1.6 - Art Update is live!
Here's what's changed:
Added 11 famous art paintings. Along with Van Gogh's starry night (one of the firts backgrounds I've actually made for the theme) you can now expose an art painting behind Android Auto's icons
Fixed some errors occurring on the welcome dialog on small resolutions
Dimmed some backgrounds with car logo to make them less shiny (Toyota, Opel and Honda this time around. If you have any issues with other car logos let me know!)
About synergy support: I've tried myself with a friend phone, and I see Synergy builds the theme just fine but the background doesn't change at all. Unfortunately it requires me more time to find a fix for synergy support. I'm trying so hard to run some tests on Samsung Remote Labs devices in order to adress more specifically the root of the problem but I'm either encountering some devices with pre-setup and logged-off Samsung Accounts with no way to download the high contrast theme or devices on very slow servers that make testing impossible. I'll try my best to have ideal working conditions and find a fix as soon as possible, sorry!

And don't forget that all the themes previews are available on Google Photos
