Hello everybody!
here's my problem:
I'm running MIUI Global 10.2.13 (rooted and with xposed framework installed) on my MI9 and I would like to keep my phone unlocked when connected to my car radio. Well, I can only add Xiaomi stuff as trusted devices, i.e. I can use my Amazfit watch to unlock the phone but not the the car radio even if is correctly connected.
Searching in XDA or googling didn't helped so much, according to the thread on official MIUI forum (http://en.miui.com/thread-1332307-1-1.html) this is a normal behaviour for Xiaomi stock rom and someone suggested the use of some xposed module to correct it
So my question is: there's a way to add non xiaomi bluetooth device to the trusted device list? could someone point me to that "mighty" xposed module?
thanks a lot to the whole community!
The only way I know it's too get away from MIUI Rom. One of the reasons I unlocked and installed Lineage on my old Mi5S and will probably do on my new Mi9 soon.

Thanks for the suggestion templeka: I've been there before, installed Pixel Experience, AEX, even the early beta of android Q: they all look very promising but still at early stages: none of them can achieve the smoothness of the stock fingerprint unlock and none of them have the "ok google" working, as far as I know.
I'm looking for a temporary workaround until the our Great Masters of Android (thanks a lot for your hard work!) get this beast at their feet!
I would suggest using the "Feedback" app to report this.
If there is any chance of them listening to someone is doing so to the people that bought the phone and are not pleased with something.
don't really believe they roam forums and such to gather information.
According to the thread on official forum I've reported in OP, Xiaomi seem to consider this not as a bug but as a Feature (!) so, I didn't tried to report to them.
Anyway thank you for your interest and support!
Looking for the same thing! I also prefer to stay on stock. There is a way to do this with Xposed but I'm not sure it's working anymore... I use Xiaomi.eu ROM. Might be something they can patch on their end maybe?
I wanted that feature is well, but then I saw that mi9 is lacking pocket mode feature, so keep the device unlock in my pocket resulted in calling unwanted people.
So instead I choose to unlock using face, pattern and fingerprint.

This module name is CustoMIUIzer and you can find it on XDA. This is powerful module with a lot of options and one of them is "unlock phone by bluetooth device" - working very good.

Thank you very much man! you solved my problem!
What if I tell you I've got that module installed but never seen the option you've pointed me to?
the full path to the setting is:
custoMIUIzer > system > lock screen > Disable screen lock:
here toggle "Enable mod" on, then under "Disable screen lock" select "Disable on trusted network/devices:
go back and under "Trusted bluetooth devices" select the device you want to unlock the phone.
thank you all again and special thanks @Lashe: never underestimate junior members!:good::good:
in miui 11 eea, it unlocks me but every time I go into configuration, the xposed module gives me an error
Hi, same thing here on mi9 lite. Very annoying this setting from Mi
I encourage users to submit a feedback request to Xiaomi asking for the functionality to be extended to non-Xiaomi bluetooth devices.
Mi11 5g + Mi Watch dont work either. Submitted feedback. It finds my old mi band ok, not mi watch. Beyond annoying on a phone with unreliable under screen fingerprint reader
seems insane to me that they dont allow Bluetooth unlock on third party Bluetooth devices on their global ROMs when most of their Bluetooth devices like Mi watch dont have global roms so some of the functionality does not work outside of china.

Hi, After pretty hardwork i have managed to install customiuizer(for miui13) for my Mi 11x running on MIUI13. But it does not fetch any bluetooth device. Any help will be appreciated.
Updated: Toggled "enable module" in Lsposed, rebooted and it worked.
Hello everyone,
can someone help a noobie ?
I've a Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra and want to use my garmin venu 2+ on it, but the smart lock is very unuseful with MIUI. You're comment gives me hope
I'm on MIUI14 (android 13).
If i understant correctly, i have to :
- root my phone with magisk => I found this thread
Root Mi 11 Ultra
Want to confirm before proceeding, I find this instruction. https://www.ytechb.com/how-to-root-mi-11-ultra-and-unlock-bootloader/ I've already unlocked the bootloader, want to make sure it is safe to do so (won't brick etc)
forum.xda-developers.com
- Install (ED)Xposed
- Install CustoMIUIser
- Configure them both with correct settings for the smart lock
But it seems that (Ed)Xposed is for android 11
I've found that for Android 13 (Xposed only)
[MOD][Xposed+Magisk][13 Compatible] AOSP Mods - System modifications for AOSP-based Android 12+
This is a mixed Xposed+Magisk module, which is made to allow customizations that are not originally designed in AOSP (Android Open Source Project). Features: Currently, AOSP Mods offers customizations on different aspects of system framework and...
forum.xda-developers.com
Can it works ?
Is it very different from (ED)Xposed ? => same options ?
Or Do I try with the (ED)Xposed even if it doesn't "fit" with android 13 ? => seems risky for me
Or Do I wait some months (Ed)Xposed update for compatiblity with Android 13 ?
Thanks in advance for your answers
Best Regards
Fabrice
NB : hope my english is not so bad...
Old EdXposed causes many problems with new Magisk - use Zygisk-LSposed module instead
And CustoMIUIzer14 for MIUI 13 and 14- SmartLock with BT and WiFi works perfectly:

Thanks a lot for you help guys !!
EDIT 2 : last questions : since the double installation, all menu systems (contacts, agendas, phonecall...) are in red (fonts and background in dark-red). I've tried to change the themes but nothing change. I've tried in the MIUI menu but there's nothing. Is it because of Magisk ? Lsposed ? CustoMIUIzer ? Where can i change this parameter ? Thanks !!
EDIT 3 : finally it was a theme pb... sorry for borring you guys...

Nice idea, but pretty much useless for about 90% of XDA users with it being in Chinese and not in English.

The English Version Is in Process
Yeah, as you know the main exclusive feature of Xposed store is that it will automatically match and install a suited framework for your phone, almost available for all kinds of phone models.
And similarly considering the users from all over the world, we are working on the English version of this app. Once it's finished, I will add to this thread

Hello!
First sorry if my English is basic, because im French ^^
Yup, so i open this thread cuz i want to be sure to find the right version before install Xposed on my phone.
I found that i need SDK23 on web but i dont know if it's right and if it's a ARM or ARM64 and im really not sure then i prefer ask here before make a bull****
I'm actually on Meizu Pro 6 (not Pro 6 plus) on last Flyme 6.3.0.0G (but i use Nova Prime launcher) and my phone is rooted from Meizu roots setting.
(Edit: it's Android 6.0, Processor is a "MTK MT6797" and Graphic chip "ARM Mali T880 MP4")
I want to install Xposed to use the advanced setting from some of my apps like Greenify and take a look to the other possibility but before install Xposed i want to know something, actually (if necessary) i can flash my meizu with recovery mod to come back to factory without any problems (i already make it after roots to make a fresh install with unrooted flyme) so i wanna ask, if i install Xposed can i still use recovery mod if needed a day?
Thanks in advance and sorry if the answer was already on this forum, i have search but don't find for Pro 6

Back & hi,
Ok so if someone look a day for the same thinks, i have find the solutions and the answer to all my question on the Meizu groups by ChatDexter on Telegram.
So for the Meizu Pro 6 (not plus) you just need to roots your phone with the simple way of Flyme :
* It's 100% safe and easy and you still can use recovery mode (press power+up volume to start your phone and when vibrate, press 2 time volume up to open recovery) after reboot to unroot if needed one day don't be afraid..
And if you don't know how to root the Meizu Pro 6 it's very easy :
Open "Parameter" and go to -> "Fingerprints and security" then enter and follow step on "Administrator authorization" read/accept and reboot; after that you will be roots (you can use the free apps Root Checker Basic) to see the roots work fine..
Ok so now for xposed framework you need XposedInstaller v3.1.1 (APK), there is the link :
[add manually the SSL]mega.nz/#!SI0DwJoY!kgbtYOZScUfub7aPVLu7s9t7qwL4MsG7Ga-DhHEnSWQ
*receive directly from an admin of Meizu groups of Telegram and upload to my mega.
(EDIT : im new on forum and after writing all my post i see than i can't post a link after post minimum 10 msg with my account to previent spam.. i understand but for this post it's really sad.. than im sorry, but to post link i have remove the https : // before my 3 link of the post, just add it manually to open it and i hope xda moderator will undertand and i hope fix it , if not sorry im new on xda.. if someone need the link add me on Telegram at "Orbit4L")
*And im not 100% sure but i thinks it's only for the Meizu Pro 6, in any case it work perfectly for my Pro 6 (with flyme 6.3.0.0G rooted).
Ok so after download, you just need to launch the apk, the installer will automatically detect your device to find the last version of xposed framework, you must see that on "YOUR DEVICE" detection :
#1 Android 6.0 (Marshmallow, API 23)
# 2 Meizu PRO 6
#3 arm64
Click to collapse
if you don't see that it's than you are not on Meizu Pro 6 so stop this tutorial immediately..
If it's okay first verify your battery level is ok (personally i have make that with 100% to be safe)
Then now you can press INSTALL/UPDATE button, a dialog box will appear, wait few time and after 3/4 line you will see "Done" (if it's not done it's than you have not pro 6 roots or make something wrong in the step, idk im not an pro but for me all was perfect the first try..)
Ok then now in the bottom of this dialog box you will see a message for reboot your system, wait the countdown or press reboot directly..
Your phone will reboot and when Flyme loading logo will appear dont worry if it take few min (not really long, i thinks 2/3max for me) and after that you will see a status 0->100% for xposed installer optimize your apps for xposed (just wait without make anything) and when 100% is done flyme will start just fine as always, unlock your sim/phone pass, and you will see your phone start as always with all your apps exactly like before start the XposedInstaller apk, but now, Xposed is installed and work fine
open it and you must see that :
[add manually the SSL]i.imgur.com/io5Tqo2.jpg
And here you can start using the application by adding your modules
For proofs here is my Greenify Pro plug-in finally installed and fully functional
[add manually the SSL]i.imgur.com/YjloCHS.jpg
Here, i know that many of you are perfectly comfortable with xposed, but for those like me who want to install it for the first time, (on a Meizu Pro 6 in any case) it can seem complicated and warnings can scare, that's why after a long search, then directly ask advice to Admin of Meizu groups from Telegram and then performed the procedure on my own Pro 6 (Not Pro 6 Plus^^), i decide to share this tutorial that i hope again will not violate no rules of the XDA Forum and give a big pleasure to interested people :good:
Looking forward android friends and thx to xda for this awesome Forum (even if i found the solution elsewhere, i know than Pro 6 is not on last phone and meizu not the best way for xposed :silly
I'm using Xperia XZ1 Compact SO-02K (Japanese docomo model) unlocked bootloader via qUnlockTool.
I installed some custom ROMs like LineageOS 18.1, Havoc OS 4.8, 3.11.
Any ROMs doesn't go to deep sleep so the battery drain is so bad. I installed Android 11 ROMs and 10 ROMs, but both not working deep sleep.
Anyone know good solutions?
Hi,
great to see some other user from Japan with the SO-02K. I also recently installed a custom rom and had the same issues as you. The source is the NFC chip. Unfortunately the Japanese version have a different chip/driver because of the Felica services here (Felica was here in Japan well before Google was even thinking to integrate NFC in Android, so nobody to blame here, beside Google, not Sony.)
Anyway the fix is a bit ugly. However, there is help:
Download this image from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-lineageos-18-1-unofficial-2-0-update-2021-01-20.4047763/
Yes, this and only this. I know it has not been updated anymore, but the reason comes below.
Please check out this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fixed-xz1-au-sov36-japan-deepsleep-on-g8341-custom-roms.4156209/
It is about the XZ1 AU version but it also applies to the compact. I summarize here to make the post complete:
Either you root the phone, which I did not do because I do not need root for anything and with root, some of my app do not work, like Spotify. So I recommend to do those steps in the TWRP. Simply mount all the partitions and go to the file manager under advanced options.
Go to folder: /vendor/lib/modules
and delete or rename file call pn553.ko
Restart your phone and it will go to deep sleep. Otsukaresama.
Now, why only this image. Because it uses the older NFC library. In all other images, this fix this not apply anymore, as the modules are not at that place. I really would appreciate if someone more experienced can point me to the nfc module drives in any newer LineageOS image.
PS: Of course NFC will never work with a custom rom (without trying yourself to find out how to make it work)

Actually, I couldn't find pn553.ko on the latest stock ROM(47.2.B.5.38), so I deleted all of NFC files in /Vendor (of cause I took /Vendor backup with TWRP.). The deepsleep little works (please check attached picture) but the battery drain is better than before.
Thanks anyway!

------------------------------------------------------------Bugs and their Workarounds-----------------------------------------------------------------
Read all the steps correctly
BUGS:- bluetooth ear/headphones do not work workaround- ( go into phh treble settings misc features and enable force-disable a2dp offload (thanks to @Lil_Boudy for figuring it out!)
If bluetooth crashes your system disable media recommendations under Sound & Vibration > Media > Show media recommendations
mtp not working (mtp does work in twrp and in some custom kernels the one linked here does not fix mtp as it is not changing too many things compared to other custom kernels which brick some phones)
sim 1 incoming and outgoing does not work (you can revieve calls and call but you wonth hear anything nor will your mic go trying to fix) (workaround is to put your sim into slot 2) (i have heard that other people dont have this issue so i guess try your luck)
DO NOT let the phone die of battery you will not be able to boot and it will be hard to get back into the system (workaround- in magisk install acca https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/acc and install this apk after installing https://github.com/MatteCarra/AccA then set profile to default (this will shut down the phone at 5% hence removing the risk of your phone not booting after hitting 0%

Increase performance without any battery impact or (by feravolt and gloeysik)
Step 1
- Uninstall ANY OTHER KERNEL MANAGER app including smartpack/Ktweaks to avoid conflict, since this app uses AI and machine learning to dynamically boost performance when needed
- Install FDE AI Magisk Module to make it a system app, thus it will work better and removes all kernel locks from OEMs (I'm looking at you, Samsung) https://github.com/feravolt/FDE.AI-docs/releases/download/12.4.1m/FDE.AI-as-system-app.MAGISK.zip
- Update FDE AI to the latest version by downloading the latest APK here, since the fde ai magisk module will only install fde ai 12.4.1, not the latest version: https://github.com/feravolt/FDE.AI-docs/releases
- Move to the bottom of the screen and select AI Chat, then type /advancedai (no space, no uppercase letters). This will going to make the AI more effective, without you having to do anything.
also type in /extraopt everything (do this once a week)
- Go to the settings tab and use the AUTO settings for FDE AI.

Why on Earth would someone go through so much to render their A70 almost useless? Why would one remove a fully working stable operating system to replace it with a half ass working one that may or may not become a paperweight?
Stock 11 with custom recovery twrp rooted with magisk, passing saftynet with saftynet fix and then fully debloat manually...... I have to tell you, i have no issues, no bugs, everything works except, well wait, nope, everything works......
Come on people, I get wanting custom rom over stock but this is getting ridiculous.

Never said i didnt like custom roms, in fact i wish i could use Lineage os. However, development on the A70 is just a repeat of the next. The same bugs formally listed above has not changed or been fixed since the start of said development. As of now, in my opinion, developers are pushing custom roms out like water but its a downgrade. Calls dont work, need to do work arounds to get it to work, if you can get it to work and forget dual sim altogether. Camera stuck on 8mp. Headphones may or may not work. Major bluetooth bugs. Battery issues and the risk of not being able to charge but hey lets throw in a work around that is still risky. Invalid cpu configuration causing lags and overall harder workload on the graphics. Invalid overlays creating a blinking dot where the proximity sensor is.
Random reboots should the u.i. hang.
I mean, the list goes on and on and the bug list is getting bigger with each new rom or kernal. When i realized that samsung would never release the proper drivers for this device, I stopped and removed my development on the project. Installing a custom rom on this device at this point in time make the device worse then stock. At least with stock, twrp and magisk v23, you can debloat and still enjoy your device with everything working as it should. If developers wish to continue development for this device then work on fixing the bugs rather then how many roms they can push out. Thats in my opinion.
You will find that there are more the 10+ roms or kernals all with the same bugs if not more and no development on fixing the bugs so my question is why would someone want to downgrade and deal with a very unstable device just to say they have custom this or that? Makes no sense.

No, camera is supposed to be 32mp and gcam is just another bloatware built by google. Headphones and Bluetooth work? You mean "when" they work...
Battery is good yet dont let it die or youll have a paperweight?
Yes sir, do you not check your cpu limits? Very high usage i must say, i mean one invalid or mistyped code just couldn't cause any issues right!?
Im not trying to harp on your work or anyone elses but it seems that you guys are dead set on pushing out roms that are doing more harm then good to the device. Custom roms for the A70 is a downgrade from stock and thats just facts. Custom roms are supposed to be better then stock but for this device at this point in time, its not.

Update magisk to 24.1 then show me it works considering magisk hide options were removed in v24 as well as saftey net checks.

Opening up this thread in hopes some interest can be made.
Since the beta version of Android 13 dropped, I decided to boot into GSI roms to achieve root. To my surprise, not only did the GSI rom boot, but I was able to go through the google setup like a champ. Every now and again, I load different GSI roms to test and I am currently using Google QPR2. As it stands the following works:
What Works
Opening and closing the device actually works and renders content in open and closed state
Cellular/wifi radio works
Touchscreen works but there's issues (see below)
Camera works (albeit not as well as the pixel camera ports)
Notifications fully work
Android Auto works
SMS works
There is a very big problem with using the GSI - the device detects inputs from both screens whether opened or closed. So here's a list of what doesn't work:
Not working
Touch input (as previously described)
Phone features (phone vibrates but dialer never displays)
Battery isn't optimized (given)
If you want to test it and provide some feedback, I am using this GSI rom:
Android 13 GSI binaries and release notes | Android Developers
Notes and downloads for Generic System Images for Android 13 QPR beta builds.
developer.android.com
As always to install GSI roms, bootloader must be unlocked. To install, use DSU Loader. It's a rather painless process

hello and thank you very much for this feedback. after having watched this forum for a very long time, it is time for me to buy this magnificent smartphone because I have always used gsi pixel experience roms. but I would still like to have your opinion on the sound quality of this beast because on no comment and test nobody talks about it

GSI depends solely on a bootloader unlock. Unless you get an older device that hasn't been updated, I wouldn't purchase the device with the assumption that root is easy...

Yes indeed I understand that. but I read on the forum that unlocking the bootloader was back on a september update. but the question I ask myself more is the sound quality of the dual speakers. anyway thank you very much for your answer.

I'm not sure. THere are some who tried who weren't able to bootloader unlock for the September update or afterward.
Sound quality is subjective but I had zero complaints from the speakers

Considering this for a x fold plus.
Were you able to fix the issues and if not, to what to extent are the effects. For example, with the battery not optimized how does it last and with the dialer not displaying are you able to answer the call? Touch input I assume is mostly an issue when using the larger screen (i.e. you accidentally input from the front screen).

I wasn't able to fix them but I didn't try. I don't have the dev machine to try and fix the issues and rebuild a LoS GSI to get it working. Which is a shame :/
But given that I have had a really good time with it otherwise because I like the potential of it
