Hello guys, my Mi 9 is unrooted but has bootloader unlocked and is running Pixel Experience. I'm trying to flash this boot animation using TWRP install zip and from the log it looks fine. When I reboot, tough, the previous boot animation is used, so it's like the new one never got flashed. What could be the problem?

Greetings Everyone
My Device
I have Mi Mix 6GB 256GB
What I got it with
I was on Chinese MIUI8 and I believe Stock Recovery Was Mi Recovery 3.smth
What got me here
1)I moved to Epic Rom following proper method BL Unlocked,TWRP by MRRaines and Wiped Dalvik,DATA,System,Cache and Flash
2)I didnt liked it much then on same recovery following same method installed RR MIX it was insanely Lagging too much stutter thought it would need me to wipe userdata too so wiped all again from TWRP flashed again it was smoother but games were dropping so i thought ill wait for Stable Lineage Build (when ever there is)
Finally I decided to get back to Chinese MIUI
Here's what I've tried so far
For Updater Method Via Epic ROM
Downloaded Official ROM figured TWRP couldn't flash it ,Grabbed Stock Recovery flashed it via fastboot but Recovery buttons lead me to misuite.com screen or whatever it was to flash via official software
tried recovery from another source same issue
Then I went for Fastboot Method
Downloaded Fastboot ROM with .BAT and Download MiFlasher
the process succeeds everytime but and Stuck at
MIX(logo)
...
powered by
android
Now I'm New with MIX but I've been flashing ROMS since days of Moto RAZR L7 point being I dont think a boot should take that long
What actually happens is on MIX logo screen dims and brightens and its loading & loading then for an instance I see MI logo with white navigation strip then back to MIX logo like if it was optimizing APPS or smth for First boot can anyone kindly help me with what I've been doing wrong or what would be a proper safer method
Thanks
[SOLVED] finally again flashed twrp then flashed .ZIP stock FW via TWRP
the problem im having is after upgrading to the latest 9.2.3 firmware when i try to install TWRP everything goes fine but the phone refuses to go past boot screen. I i can boot into TWRP with no problem at all but if i try booting the phone it just gets stuck at the boot logo.. So then i reverted back to the 9.1.1 firmware and now the problem has started there as well. anyone have any idea what im doing wrong?
PS: iv used 3.0.3, 3.1.1 and 3.2.1 none work
Hey after flashing TWRP your supposed to flash lazyflasher.zip if your running MIUI or you'll be stuck at the MI logo. This is a completely normal problem, nothing to worry about. Boot into TWRP and flash the lazyfalsher zip and your MIUI will be up and running. You can download it here
Bro after flashing twrp. Go inside twrp, options/settings, advanced, click on fix boot/disable verification something like that. Thats all It will boot.
hey thank man i just followed what you said and its working fine now
hey thanks for the reply i got it working
Glad it worked. Happy flashing!
I'm not sure if I triggered OEM unlock, but the phone wouldn't boot past logo after flashing Magisk, I reflashed the stock but it still won't boot past the logo despite stock binary. Any ideas?
Have you got the stock flash? Backed up existing?
i flashed superSU via TWRP. I have the same problem like yours before then I flashed superSU. it booted up well.
I updated Magisk and it worked. Without logcat, I have no idea what was going on to lag the phone on the bootanim.
I have first tried flashing twrp and then tried flashing pixel experience onto my LLD-L31 and it worked which is from "https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3789306". I then tried to install pixel experience gsi using this twrp the second version and the phone would just boot loop and would never boot into pixel experience. I then saw a thread stating that i should use stock recovery and stock rom . So i used firmware finder and hurupdater and got stock recovery and rom. I then tried the method on this post "https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/development/honor-9-lite-pixel-experience-9-0-gsi-t3849390" and the same thing is happening where after the phone boot loops 3 times , the phone would not boot into pixel experience but would constantly boot loop and then i just used eRecovery to go back to stock and have no way to flash pixel experience . Any one have any ideas whats the problem and how i can flash pixel experience sucessfully .
Follow up
Just flashed omni ROM from open kirin and seems to be working fine , no boot loops and didn't have to use twrp either , still wondering why pixel experience didn't work as my phone is project treble compatible
For everyone having trouble getting TWRP working on the second beta release, here is a rooted boot image with TWRP included. If you are not rooted, flash through fast boot. If you are rooted I suggest to just flash through a kernel manager. Change your lock screen to a PIN number or just remove it in general before flashing the boot image just in case, and then reboot to recovery just to be sure it worked. Do not use this if you are on the first release and not the hot fix.
