Recently, I did root on Mi Max 2 and then enabled camera2api to have manual options to change iso, shutter speed and be able to save photos in dng (RAW) format. I noticed that in the default camera app I can take pictures with a manual shutter speed setting up to 32 seconds. But when I use other applications that allow manual settings and saving in dng, the maximum working shutter speed at which I can take a picture is 4 seconds. Choosing any higher shutter speed value means that capturing the image lasts indefinitely (regardless of the manual settings and the file format).
Can anyone explain to me why in the default camera app taking photos with shutter speed e.g. 5 seconds is possible and in other camera apps capture with the same shutter speed (and higher) never ends? Is there any way to take photos with a time longer than 4 seconds and be able to save them in dng format?

Currently there is like a 1-2 second delay before taking a photo. Some of the other phones allow you to literally take a photo one after the other, with 0 shutter delay.
Is this possible on the Z1, even if means by an app?
Also, is there a video editor (to crop videos etc) by default on the z1?
Thanks
Burst photo is activated under Superior Auto mode, klick the settings-dots, enable "Burst with longpress" under the first tab.
Now just point and shoot LOTS of pictures while you press the button.
I haven't seen any in depth reviews of the new camera app so I thought I'd place the question here: How much manual control does the app allow? I'm interested in doing long exposures in the range of 15 to 30 seconds.
I plan to use a tripod or similar device and I've read in the manual that the app has a shutter release timer, but the manual doesn't say what the shutter speed range is... Can someone with the phone please report back here??
Thanks in advance,
F
The note 5's default camera app with pro mode supports manual shutter speed from 1/24000 sec to 10 seconds.
Hi,
first of all sorry for my bad English. It is not my mother tongue.
I have updated to Nougat (361 EU cust) and I have realised that there is a bug in the camera. In pro mode, when you set ISO manually, the shutter speed doesn't go below 1/17 if set automatically. That happens in low light situations. Also, if you try to set manually speed shutter, what you see in the screen doesn't get refreshed, so you don't know if you are exposing right. And more, in that situations Raw archives get so much noise and you aren't able even to correct that in Lightroom.
Also, in normal mode, in low light situations, the camera increases ISO but it can't change shutter speed more than 1/17.
Some others are suffering the same. We are talking about that in a Spanish forum. Do you suffer the same bug? Could you check it?
Thanks in advance
Here ISO is set manually and speed automatically https://goo.gl/photos/7cpoVJ7HNL4W5JZx6
Raw. ISO and shutter speed set manually, but calculating. The screen was as in the previous photo https://goo.gl/photos/2BU1sX5v9Tdbae3u9

Hi everyone,
I just purchased a Nokia 7 plus and I can't find any way of setting a minimum shutter speed. If I go into pro mode and set shutter speed to 1/125 all my low light pics are great with no blur but obviously this will make bright daylight shots over exposed.
Is there a way to mod the software to keep everything the same but let me adjust the minumum shutter speed to 1/125? rather than fixed at 1/125
What would be perfect for me would be a setting at 1/125 minimum shutter speed and a slower speed for when using the flash to capture the background (Google - Dragging the shutter). but if not, i'd be happy if I could only have the minimum shutter speed.
I only use the camera for family pics and a lot of those are of my 2 year old boy. I don't really want to mess with settings too much because you have to be quick to capture those special moments.
Guys I tried out a camera called camera super resolution and another app called camera super pixel to capture high resolution images. Camera super pixel is able to capture upto 40mpxl (can be set to different resolution by given options in settings).
The other app i tried out is an old app developed by dept. of image processing in The Czech Republic. It was tested on the nexus 5 and app was released at that time, unfortunatly the app has not been updated or maintained, but it works fine on the huawei mate 9 running on emui 9.1. By changing the configuration I was able to get 68mpxl images. The app is simple and ideal to capture non moving subjects (landscape, macro, portrait, products etc.
The technique this app is Super-resolution algorithm and it is a mathematical algorithm that combines multiple low-resolution input images and creates one image of higher resolution.
*note: the app might crash if you try to increase the resolution factor more than 2.3-2.4 (tested on mate 9)
*You can set the amount of images needed to capture to create the super res image
*Note: After capturing, image processing needs a little while to process the photos (roughly around 30 secs to a minute) and might use 1% of battery to run the algorithm
*The app usually captures a normal 12mpxl image too and saves in gallery
* There are no controls, just settings, capture button and exposure control using volume buttons(+/-).
**Since im a new user I cannot post the app related direct link here, google for camera super resolution android zoi.utia.ca

i tried the second app, zoi. utia.ca.
The SR instantly force closed when i launch it.
Runinng 9.1 on mate 9. ?
Edit:
Nevermind, i google the app name, it redirect me to another version that worked for me.
Thanks.
