Hello so my phone was soft bricked so i've gone back to stock using SPFlashtool. Everything went well except i lost baseband/imei/wifi and bt addresses. I manage to write IMEI using Maui meta which brought back my baseband strangely enough. But when i'm flashing Wifi and bluetooth mac addresses using SN Write tool it always says PASS but when i reboot the device my Wifi mac is still 20:00:00:00. I tried changing serial number through SN write tool which worked but can't seem to change the mac addresses and Yes i'm using valid DB file and valid Mac addresses. Anyone got a solution for that?
my phone did the same,, but i ca't find the right files for Maui meta
can you give me a link for them plz?

Flash Motorola_Moto_E4_Plus_XT1770_MT6737M_Nicklaus_OEM_User_NMA26.42_05062017_7.1.1. And use NMEA database file that comes with it.

trying to find out what my phones mac address was before i sent it in for repair.
problem is my router/modem was replaced by bell since then, so i can't use that.
i do however have a backup of bml1-9, as well as my nv_data files from the efs partition and some z7logs, but haven't had any luck searching through those.
thanks

Update: I just realize you have already sent out your device...
How about checking arp cache of other devices in your network? On windows or linux: arp -a
tried that, with no success.
I found a backup of my original rom i made with clockwork mod. datadata.img, cache.img, and some other files. might there be a record in one of those files?

I can see my mac adress in "/efs/wifi/.mac.info" & "/efs/wifi/.mac.cob"
There is also something about mac in "/etc/wifi/nvram_net.txt" but it doesnt show same adress.
Isn't mac adress somehow coded in the hardware?
I suggest you make a full backup of efs and related partitions if you want to try to change anything, and also make sure you know how to restore them. Messing around with them can get your IMEI wiped.

yes it is coded in hardware but I think I can change it not in hardware but in software because a read about that many times but people did it on the other phones.
Do you think I should change mac adress in "/efs/wifi/.mac.info" & "/efs/wifi/.mac.cob"?
P.S. I haven,t got any problems with doing backup (including efs partition)

Yeah, I guess you can try but you're responsible for what you do with your phone
I doubt your IMEI will get wiped or anything by changing those, if it's even possible.
Hello,
got the same Problem like alot others. Wrong flashing and the complete EFS was destroyed.
Now i go back to Stock, rebuild the Baseband and the Counter is 0. But still have IMEI NULL/NULL
I read now alot of posts in the Net and tryed a lot but nothing helped.
So my Question is, is there really a solution to build the IMEI back to the Original one if you completly lose the original
EFS Folder? Or do i need to get it to technican to get it back with a Box?
I tryed IMEI Changer App but this one doesnt work on my i8190.
If there is another way to fix this, would be grate to get a but of Help.
Thank you in advance.
So i try to change the IMEI with ALP. But ALP directly gets an Read Error while try to get the IMEI.
Is there a File i can put in and change it with ALP to get back my IMEI?
I had the same problem when i was on my SGY. Just reflash the rom through odin and fix permissions. ??
There is no bad choises, only bad results.
SGS III Mini
tenshi_xp's PAC Rom RC-3
KitKat 4.4.4.
Hi,
thank you for your Answer. But i already reflashed Stock Rom all things are back, i just miss the IMEI File or Area. Saw on the net there are IMEI Folder to flash with ODIN
so i can change it with ALP. But most of the Sites or Files or deleted, maybe false and Viruses, i dont know.
My Problem is that my complete EFS Folder was lost, no Backup nothing. With different Flashes and Stuff i got it back with Baseband, CSC and so on. Just my IMEI tells
me NULL/NULL and ALP cant get it, because this Part isnt available anymore
Can you tell me Stockrom or something i can try? Need something for an open German i8190.
Best Regards

Our IMEI number isn't saved in /efs partition/folder. It's saved in mmcblk0p9 partition which take up to 1MB. The efs partition (/efs>imei folder) only contains the IMEI key code to access the IMEI number in mmcblk0p9 path. If your IMEI key code got wiped and you didn't make a backup of your efs partition, then you will (unfortunately) never see your IMEI again
BTW : Does WiFi, Bluetooth etc. works or not?
EDIT : I found a interesting therad for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2755787. Maybe you can use this efs backup from this user and change the IMEI to your original one.

Yes all other Services are working WiFi and BT. Just the IMEI Numbers are gone.
But if its possible to recreate the Folder and File i think its possible to change the IMEI Number with APS to the old one from the Mobilphone.
But i can get them back if i recover with a OctupsBox or how this boxes are calling?!

There is an alternative method. You can flash this efs.img (which you find in the zip file) with terminal emulator which needs ROOT access.
1. root your device and download terminal emulator from Google play store.
2. Copy the efs.img to your internal storage and open terminal emulator.
3. After open terminal emulator type su to give root access, (your supperuser app asks for root access, confirm with yes)
4. Type/Copy this code : dd if=/storage/sdcard0/efs.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 in terminal emulator and press "enter"
5. Now your efs partition got overwritten with the efs.img
BEFORE!! you start this method, backup your "current" efs folder by type in terminal emulator : dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11 of=/extSdCard/EFS.img
Please do this at your own risk!

Yes it's better to send it back to Samsung center

I bought a used mix which has no wifi functionality due to what seems to be a corrupt EFS. The mac address is 02:00:00:00:00, however the IMEI is correct and is the same one on the box.
I've flashed it with the official rom, but the mac address is still empty. I've been able to get the QCN file off the phone but I do not have a non-corrupt version to restore to.
Can someone be kind enough to send me their QCN without their IMEI? Would very much appreciate it. I have the 6GB ram 256GB version of the phone.

Hi , here a qcn file, the lines 0x1E700 / 0x02530 with IMEI has been replaced by 088A AAAA AAAA AAAA AA,
use the IMEI converter and put your own IMEI with the HEXeditor.
Thanks alexlovar! I was able to restore the qcn using your file.
Unfortunately, the mac address is still 02:00:00:00:00:00. I'm starting to think something hardware related is wrong with this phone. Really sucks to be burned buying a used phone.

hi, what ROM you have installed?, in my mix only work the original MIUI global version, i don't know if the mac address is include with the qcn file but i don't believe this, because this manage only the modemst1 and modemst2 partitions.
i see something on goolge search: https://appuals.com/fix-020000-mac-address-android-custom-roms/

I tried multiple roms from the latest global version, china stable, china dev, and some custom roms. They all result in the same problem. I'm not sure if the qcn contains the mac address for the mix, but from what I read the mac address is contained in the qcn for other xiaomi phones.
I also haven't been able to purposely clear the IMEI. I've tried using the adb commands and also the command through the dialer. Granted, those guides were for other xiaomi phones. I figure it would be a good idea to clear the efs before restoring the qcn you sent, but the IMEI never clears.

in my case, the commands :
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sdf3
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sdf5
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sde28
doesn't work (for me), i must delete the modemst1 /modemst2 /fsg partition manually, using root explorer. (Rom MIUI 8.5. rooted) reboot and verify that the IMEI is cleared, if not, delete manually again, reboot and then restore the qcn backup file with Qfil_QPST.2.7.430 . look http://www.androidbrick.com/ultimate-guide-qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-baseband-repair-fix-part-2/
i hope this helps!
Hello
Can someone maybe help me with my problem ?
After i changed my mac address to 02:xx:xx my wifi doesn't turn on anymore and i have also no possibilities to change it again...
Phone: Red Magic 5G
Build: EN Common V8.11
Root: Yes (Magisk)
Android 10/Q
Any idea is welcome ! ^^
Best Regards
Akizuma
Have really no one the same problem ?
Or maybe a backup from a Red Magic 5G that still works ?
Why did you change your MAC address ?
You do NOT need to change your MAC address in Android 10, because you can choose for use a random MAC due privacy issues.
Your MAC address is shown only to system apps, all other apps, can NOT see your MAC address.
Android 10 masks your MAC address to 02:00:00:00 if any user app try to read MAC address.
Try my app and you can see it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ackage-com-vitaodoidao-vdinformacoes.4097379/
The problem is i can't start my wifi anymore or change it its not possible
And the next problem that i got is that i broke my persist folder so i have no possibilty anymore to see my screen (i need a original backup from a Red Magic 5G...)
I broke way to many things.....
Firstly, how did you change your MAC address ?
With a app from the google play store.
I started it and then pressed hard change.
After the restart my wifi was broken.
Then i tried with
Busybox to change it again but the wifi card doesnt show up so i looked up in the root explorer for the file where my mac was saved and i found it (it was wlan_mac.bin) the only problem i can't change it not even after i got all permission. (After many hour of tries i decides to delete it) but it still comes back with the same mac adresse.
So i decide to delete the folder and that was the moment where i dont get any screen signal from my phone anymore looks like in persist are files for calibration screen etc)
I'm really desperate right now, I don't know what to do.
Don't create multiple replies, if you need, edit your last reply.
Does this app was designed for Android 10 ?
Obviously, not.
Because Android 10 will never allow the user to change MAC address.
Your MAC resides in your NVRAM and NVDATA.
Once you format your data, your NVDATA is formatted and a new one is created.
And then, the NVRAM is copied again to NVDATA.
So, erasing NVDATA should fix your MAC.
(I've said to erasing NVDATA and not NVRAM. If you lost your NVRAM, you lost your MAC and IMEI forever.)
Probably, you need to wipe your data too, I'm not sure, so I suggest you to make backup first.
Good luck.
