Xiaomi started selling today the new K20 pro premium version which has SD 855+ with 512 / 12 Combo
My Main Question : Will it have the same ROMs and development as normal K20 Pro or will it be different due to different chipset as well its availability seems will be for China only and hence weak development progress
Same question here, thinking about getting a k20 pro premium from China if the ROMs will be compatible.
ROMs will not be compatible. Different processor.

MIUI is ok, third-party custom ROM does not know if it can succeed.

I didnot get you quite well
Do you mean that it can be unlocked and flashed miui 11 for regular k20 Pro and any version Indian or global or even xiaomi.eu ?!
If this is true then it is a game changer and means it can be dealt as regular K20 Pro and to stick with any modified MIUI
Its a completely different processor tbh. It might not be labeled as raphael, so the answer is no. It wont be compatible.

Only the usual black carbon color
I am pretty sure it is not compatible because its code is 'raphaels'. Yes, I own the device and I'm not gonna risk bricking my phone.

You can flash ROM miui of mi 9T Pro but CPU receive 2.84 GHz.
I wonder if it is possible to flash Black SHark 2 Pro rom since both running the same processor, ram and gpu.

I bought mine while visiting china. 6gb/128gb black for 3249rmb direct from xiaomi china
Phone is a beast but miui8 is garbage and without Google it's useless for me.
Unlocked the bootloader thru Xiaomi (damn 72 hour BS).
Downloaded the official xiaomi global rom tgz file
Downloaded the MiFlash utility from Xiaomi
Using Fastboot, MiFlash detects my phone
Unpacked the global rom tgz file into folder per instructions from xiaomi
Try to flash but I keep getting CRC error immediately
Tried to download a new ROM file and keep getting the same error.
Any one get the same issue? How did you solve it?
Thnx.

It doesn't work any better than on Miui 9. But you can make it work on either version by going into developer options and disabling MIUI Optimization (last choice)
Download this www.xiaomitool.com/latest and it'll enable you to flash from China to Global without unlocking your bootloader. Tried it myself just now and it worked fine ?
I got a rather large update today for the global rom. 144MB. The notes said just system optimizations and bug fixes. 8.5.2.0MIUI version. I am on the September security patch. Not sure what it was before the update. It fixed a lot of little bugs like changing the region to the US.

You need unlocked bootloader for xiaomi.eu one. EEA has no betas, therefore you'd be stuck with it if you don't want to unlock b bootloader.
Ok I have a question, what's the difference between the global and EEA? My Mi9 has the EEA , is the only difference the update frequency? Thanks

I'm wondering this too. I can unlock my (Cepheus) bootloader tomorrow obviously wanting to get rid of CH Rom ASAP as a Latin alphabet user.
I know where they come from (European vb.) but don't know the differences of those two in term of features & update frequency.
Ps: I like that purple lightning animation on screen when plugged
yes, you can unlock the bootloader and install the global dev dev on mi9 and then re-boot the bootloader with mi flash. the dev version is updated weekly. the global version and eea are updated about once a month.

Hii.
Can anyone tell exactly what the difference is between

and
MIUI 10.2 - EEA (European Economic Area) Stable MIUI V10.X.X.X. ( PFAEUXM )
is there any advantages to use EEA over Global ?

Good point.Took a look over on the 9T forums and they have indeed achieved this. Little bit of confusion about band 20 but I don't think this can be obtained.Someone else had problems with Google pay after flashing 9T to k20,but otherwise seems to work fine.

As you can see on the following screenshot, I do not have DV logo in Netflix. Only HDR logo. I thought mi 11 Ultra was supposed to be able to view content in Dolby Vision? Or am I incorrect?
Also it's not a problem with my subscription, I have the right one. On my Sony TV I do have Dolby Vision in Netflix app... Not sure what the issue is here. In DRM info app, Dolby Vision support is not detected either. Only HDR, HDR10+, HLG

True for Netflix. But if the DRM Info app doesn't detect Dolby Vision on the device, then the problem must be with the phone, right? I tried playing some Dolby Vision content I happen to have in Kodi, and it doesn't play in DV either.
My guess is, Xiaomi needs to provide a software update that enables DV support.
Mine shows Dolby vision, the latest Netflix app and 12.5.6 firmware.
Update:
Dolby Vision support seems to be enabled on Xiaomi.EU ROM 12.5.7

The miui 13 stable release, is not stable at all. So have to stay on miui 12.5.20, which is the most stable.

Hi!
I bought the Chinese version. The phone is fantastic, everything suits me except, of course, the Chinese firmware. Almost everything Cn was hidden, but the lack of e-sim saddens.
The question is, is it theoretically possible that the phone can be flashed to a global in future?
Oppo support replied that Android 12 would not fix the situation ...

If oppo said no then it's unlikely. If you could unlock the bootloader then it would probably be possible

Unlocking a bootloader is not such a problem. Instructions are here in the next branch. The main thing is that there would be an opportunity to do this.
Well, I will wait for the first people who will change the firmware for themselves
I'm in the same situation and it's kind of annoying that despite my language being set to English, there are still a lot of things in Chinese. Plus all these Chinese bloat apps preinstalled are a nuisance.
I still don't regret my choice getting the Chinese version as I saved a few hundred dollars compared to the global version though. I also don't think the hardware is any different so I think it's just a matter of managing to flash the firmware with the global rom. I'm eyeing these forums until someone posts a way to do it lol.
Yeah,CN is much cheaper than global version!
Hope the global rom release someday.

I got the 12GB RAM chinese model for a bit less than 1090 CAD which is 742 euros. Buying the global model from here would've been over 1600 cad (8GB).
I've had the Chinese version of the Reno 10X Pro for 2 years, my first Chinese phone. At first I wanted to send it back because of the lack of being able to change launcher, locked to Oppo messaging, notification problems, etc. But the more I fiddled with it the more I fell in love with it. You can fine tune it to suit almost everything you want and if you can manage to explore some of the Chinese market apps and Breeno, you can get cool extras like video notifications for calls. It has outlasted my Samsung Flip 2, Surface Duo and Note 10 as far as holding my attention and keeping my sim in it the longest. Just ordered the Find X3 Pro Mars Edition and can't wait for about 2 weeks of fiddling to get it humming.

This is a regular response (like automatic one). I doubt that it is possible since hardware is different

Where did you get that hardware is different?
If it were different, the "Deeptest" would not exist. Which sends you an unlock.
And this is not the first message from our correspondence. So it's about my situation and device.
In Ukraine, the phone off is not represented.
Therefore, the service centers do not have software and tools to do this.
If it had been presented, I would have been global version.

Chinese version and global have different modem - so it is impossible to flash CN with global rom. You can specifically ask oppo on facebook - im pretty sure another support guy will tell you different story than the previous one.
