Pie update nearing?

Its 10 of this month and we have not received October security update for A2, does this mean Pie Update is round the corner. also, will the A2 pie update have gesture navigation?

its hard to know that.... In fact is weird that there no oct update... I hope we can have soon the android pie even the nokia 7 whith android one have it

It's not weird. Other manufacturers update not even in the same month. So chill and wait..

It's kind of weird because if you see Xiaomi was part of Android P beta program, so was OnePlus and Nokia, both of them have rolled out the Pie update, but Xiaomi is still testing the beta builds. 22 August was when they started beta program and still it continues.

Which Android one devices got the final pie update? None to my knowledge. Also beta program doesn't necessarily mean pie. There have been some beta Oreo versions already.

September update was released at the end of September (about 20th), and the PIE is rumored to be released in December for our phones.

There is no rumour. It's just that Q4 ends in December so this is the latest date where the "promised" date ends. So all we can do is wait and see but let's not make people false hopes about dates. It will come when it's ready or in Xiaomis case, when they want to beta test on their users
But still would be nice to know if beta testers are already testing something with a 9 in front. So come here my whistleblowers
Also companies like tradingshenzen are not shipping from china until today, so don't expect any update soon. Golden week holidays lasted until last Sunday.

you would want to look at this post. Nokia 7 plus being under Andriod One program received Pie update, a couple of weeks ago.

And ever since the A2 has launched there has not been any beta build of Oreo, so guess, that makes it Pie beta program, doesn't it?

8.9.20 is Oreo and .13 was also Oreo beta before official release.

I got the Sep update in day 6 of the month :3
in fact, I got 2 September update
first: 6/september/2018
second: 20/september/2018
the last update brings me problems in the device, UI crash
the cellphone reboot, the system crash all that in at least 2 hours and then later the system runs normal..... weird

Off by one. I admit. How could I

I bought Android One phone to receive Updates on time. But now I will wait months to get updates. So I think Android One Project form Google has failed and I'm sorry for them.

Early Android 10

Hey guys,
For a while we are all waiting for the official Android 10 update.
But I'm feeling kinda tired of waiting for it. I am not a person that flashes new roms, new software frequently. That's why I'm looking for a custom Android 10 ROM which has no major bugs and can take me a couple of months without flashing any new ROM.
Which custom Android 10 ROM would you suggest?

It is supposed that Android 10 will arrive in the second or third week of December, please don't ask me how I know this or where did I get the information, I'm basing this in previous upgrades for the MI A1s and MI A2s.

Well the problem is even mi a3 has no news yet

Note 9 stuck on Android 8.1.0

I just got the Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960F/DS) and it's still on Android 8.1.0, security patch level December 1, 2018.
It won't update OTA, nor via Smart Switch.
The build number is M1AJQ.N960FXXS2ARL4, CSC is N960FOXM2ARK2
Is there a way to update it to at least Android 9.0?

ohh you are still on oreo? thats strange.. anyway if the OTA updates doesn't come u may have to update to pie first via ODI
N....

I do not know what you mean by genuine, it's original and unlocked.
How do I update it via ODIN if the firmware for this model hasn't been released yet?
Can I use any firmware to do it?

Man, the firmware for that phone with Pie has been release about a year ago..
Just because you didn´t get the OTA does not mean it hasn´t been released.
Just do a search here
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-note9/firmware/#SM-N960F
for your country code to get the latest
Also search the forum for the latest ODIN version, and you must know if your phone has a SnapDragon CPU or an Exynos CPU if you would like to install custom roms and/or TWRP recovery

Waw.. How lucky you are.
i think better you stay in Oreo that updated it to Android 9 (Pie) Or Android 10.
IMHO, true Power of Galaxy Note 9 is on Oreo. The Multitasking menu is far usable in Oreo than Pie. The Pro Video mode is basically available on Oreo. also, you can slide the Shutter button to Zoom-in/out. Thats only on Note 9's Oreo.
Believe me, you'll regret it once you've successfully update to Pie. CMIIW

Can safely say that Android 10 OneUI 2.1 is the best software for the Note9.

How's the experience After u update that? is there any heating issues? many people said that there's kind of screen and heating issues after they update it. any tips to prevent that happen?
btw my note9 is exynos based.. stilll on android 8.1 dec 2018 update

When I play Asphalt 9 it gets really hot but I'm not a gamer so that's a rare event for me xd That said that's the only game which really heats up my phone so much, others make it normally warmer.
Otherwise i haven't seen any issues at all the last 4 months since I bought the phone, Exynos version as well. I'm on OneUI 2.1 since 1 month ago. I never had the famous screen tint issue that others were reporting.

Mine was stuck on Oreo too. Always said that my device was up to date every time I would check... I downloaded android 10 from some where and used patched od to install it. Had to do a lot of updating of apps when it booted up but that's how it is.

where did u update it from? my note 9 is SM-N960U and i cant find anyway to update. same always up to date but its oreo 8.1

Samsung Android 10 update for T510

I just read on Samsung's site that the T510 update to Android 10 isn't due until Sept 2020. No doubt we will all be running a custom Android 11 long before that.

Its usable but it lags a bit sometimes. I haven teseted bluetooth but i assume it works fine. I dint reakky use my tab that much only for ps4 remote play.

Good day, friends!
Can anyone tell me when is the last security update for MI A2? Is there schedule from Xiaomi?

middle of next year as far as i know, 3 years of security patches and 2 of major updates, it was released early-mid 2018 so i guess we got our 2 major updates o -> p and p -> q.
based on the mi a1 history that's not getting android 10 i would guess by the end of the year xiaomi is off the hook with support.
it's very goood news that lineage picked it up officially together with all the sd660 xiaomi phones

nope lineage 17.1 is android 10 based.
it's gonna be funny, unlike xiaomi they actually merge the monthly security patch within days of release. and with one of the head devs from lineage workin on it we can expect to have some very nice support too.
ill take this occasion to thank the lineage team once again, it's exactly what the mi a2 needed! and once things get going a serious slap on the face for xiaomi and how they handled their android one program!

builds are still mia. they tried to bring the build servers back last night but not yet ready.
give it a bit longer, what's important is that the a2 is supported, a few more days/weeks for them to restart builds? maybe?
p.s. they hate eta's it will be fixed when it's fixed, unlike xiaomi they are doing this as a hobby on their spare time. xiaomi has 0 excuses for the way they handle the android one program, lineage does: first they dont make money off it, second most of them have actual jobs and work on lineage just on their spare time. that's why it's gonna be soo funny once users start using the official lineage for it and enjoy it far more then the official xiaomi rom.
bookmark that link, it's the only place where you'll find the official lineage rom. be warry of anythng that's not downloaded from the official site.
