I can see that they are very very similar in size. Anyone ever tried using the S6 one on an S5e? I can see that a couple of tiny adjustments may be needed but are they compatible?
Why wouldn't you use the original one?

I can get the s6 one cheaper and it has an integrated trackpad.
The cutout for camera will be different since S6 has 2 cameras.
I would be interested in seeing if this works too! As I heard that the official SGTS6 keyboard is only held on by adhesive and it does not do a very good job of it.
Out of curiosity has anyone attempted this yet? I want to purchase one but, I don't want to if it has already been proven that it isn't compatible. To my knowledge the only 'difference' should be the camera cutout. If no one has attempted it, I might go on a limb and try to be a test dummy for it. As someone previously stated, I want the integrated mousepad. I like my tab s5e keyboard a lot but, an integrated mousepad would be amazing for me. Thanks guys.
i tried to connect the s5e to the s6tab at best buy and the connection is off set a little, so the cases are not compatible with each other

Does anyone know of a keyboard / keyboard case for the Galaxy Note 2?
There are some nice ones available for the Note 10.1 and I think there were some for the Note 1....I know it would be small, but just for typing bigger docs one would be useful......a Google search does not reveal much?
Cheers everyone.

Not sure about a specific keyboard and case for the Note 2 specifically, but check out this Coldfustion vid on the keyboard he uses for the Note 1. I want one.....
I can't post links, so search on YouTube for a vid by Coldfustion and this: Using The Galaxy Note As A Computer

Go look for the Rii Touch 330. I just ordered one via Amazon. It's quite an amazing little fella...
I'm curious about this as well. The only thing keeping me from upgrading to this device is the lack of a physical qwerty. I see there are a TON of iPhone slideout cases, any chance the Note II gets one? And I'm not talking the clamshell like ones, I want an exposed screen with a slideout keyboard. Just praying one comes out.
Anyone find something? I am holding out on buying the phone only because I need to find a very good physical keyboard solution, ideally slider, but even a good keyboard case.
i wished i had one for my s2, and id love one for my note 2
+1
+1
want one too but a sleek one. portrait slider woukd be interesting as an option. I have seen some neat ones for iPhone 4.
remaining slim is important on a large device..
that woukd be for every moment typing.
if it also had a stand it would be interesting.
AND a nice full size foldable/slidable set for roaming productivity would be great.
what I do hope is not to see any huge cases like seen on alibaba for the note 1...pretty pointless.. then a separate foldable like the old nokia su w8 or freedom or maybe a flex keys butbfoldable would be a good companion
Hoping to hear about something like this...
iKross foldable keyboard looks awesome, but I'm looking for something that I can use in subway. Can't find any good keyboard cases for Note II...

Seems like it would need to be wider in order to hold it effectively as a single unit, but if this is some real solution that exists now, I would buy it!

bluetooth KB with case for note II
Check this out and if you buy, please let me know. I haven't yet bought a note II (budget constraints), but if you have already done so, and are interested in this case with bluetooth keyboard, I'd greatly appreciate it if you let me know how you like it. I'll try to put in a link, but I just did a search on google for "samsung galaxy note 2 case with keyboard" and I got a hit for aliexpress.com
So, has anyone tried a stylus on it? Mainly something like the Dagi ones, so as to use the tablet in a more classroom note taking thing ...

I bought a "Wacom Bamboo Stylus Duo 2gen - CS-150" specifically for this tablet before I was handed the Z2.
Unusable, poor feedback and needs a high pressure.
On my smartphone Xperia Z C6603 working correctly.
Maybe it depends on the absence of a screen protector or the bug already reported by other users here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712388
I bought the Bamboo solo and I've had the same problem, for some reason you have to press down quite hard, I'm worried it may be because the touch resolution is really low, which would be disappointing.
Dagi
Well, I've ordered the Dagi p505, It should arrive mid next week, I'll post after trying it
The touchscreen has issues on this tablet. Don't blame the stylus. Hopefully, the issues are only software/driver based and can be fixed with an update.
I seem to remember a few different sources citing 'pen stylus input' which is the same as the tech on the Z Ultra, meaning even fine pointed conductive objects can be used as a stylus. I think Sony have stopped advertising this though, maybe because they realised the issue with the touch digitiser is HW based or maybe they just want to fix the FW first.
Either way, something is wrong, at least for now.

On the Sony forums, in a thread where we could ask anything about the tablet they specifically stated that it would not have pen input. Of course this could just be some customer service guy that doesn't know the details but he very specifically said it wouldn't be available on this tablet.
Just got a Wacom Bamboo Stylus too, completely unusable.
Hopefully we'll get a fix/mod soon. This is pretty pathetic and embarrassing for a tablet of this proportion.
Dagi p505 Works!
So, my DAGI p505 just arrived, I tried it and it works! since it arrived after the screen protector I only tried them both together, and there's a slight delay between the point and the paint (I used the brush atock app), but its perfectly drawable and and I reckon it might even be writeable with the right app

Model SGP511

Hope this answers your question
Anyone tried using ES22 Sony stylus on Xperia Tablet Z2 ou even on Z2 smartphone ??? it would be nice if this stylus works on Z2 devices
Tried it, and Es22 stylus from sony does NOT work with the z2 tablet... (SGP512, .36 firmware).
Homemade stylus with aluminium does not work either... Even if correctly working with my other devices...
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Free mobile app
Every Stylus I tried is working extremely bad with this device! And I haven't had any touchscreen problems...

Our "Targus" stylus seems to work OK. But not perfect. But otherwise, without stylus, the screen is nicely responsive.
Hi all,
Anybody tested new.402 firmware with bamboo Solo stylus?
I've a rooted device and still looking for a method to update
Has anybody with a rooted Z2 Tablet tried the Z1 any pencil input hack?
I suspect a little bit of playing other than just the line of code suggested may be necessary.

It's a lot better. Not perfect though.
Sony included the software tweak with the Z2 but not the Z2 Tablet, which is strange.
I contacted Sony who confirmed there is no ES22 support with no future plans to include it.
So anybody tested other stylus with last Z2 firmware?
I've a Bamboo solo and it's useless; at the moment the only product that "seems" to work properly is the "Dagi P505" (but unavailable in Europe).
Any test with Samsung Galaxy S-Pen?
Thanks.
Marco
I've tested the adonit jot pro and the bamboo stylus. The jot pro works very well. It looks really similar to the dagi stylus, but is available also in Europe... The bamboo stylus is useless.

Has anyone ever successfully used their Galaxy Tab S for note taking? For class or meeting?
Been searching for a solution for awhile now, and some say that C Pen is great and some not. Others say that an app is needed but it has always been vague. Maybe someone has found a good combination of both?
Sadly, being new to the tablet, i thought the Tab S had a similar features to Note except for the screen. Now I'm stuck with it but, I want to make the most of it since a Note 10.1 would still be too big and a Note 4 too small.
Best solution I've found is a Bluetooth keyboard and a word processing/note taking app. Bluetooth keyboards come pretty small but they work great.
The tab s has a great screen. But as of note taking the tab s is really thin and for me note taking with keyboard on screen (no keyboard) makes it kind of hard becuase of the thin edges which hurt for a while. But if typing on the table its great for typying. A goog thing about this tab is how thin it is to store it but can break really easy if dropped. Its great for reading notes as at 1/4 brightness at night it still is bright. Its really great for any light levels. Even in the sun you can still see it.

the best device with those function are still note 8.0
even with c-pen i find it kind of hard for taking notes on tab s.
Note taking in general doesn't really work out. I am 2 times faster by swyping at first place. Then s-pen does not offer enough resistance. C-pen tracing on tab s is nearly as accurate, but more resistance (what I like) but palm rejection can be a problem. There's dozens of apps around, but I didn't find any that truly allows for efficient note taking. So I ended up only using the pen for drawings, otherwise I use swyping. There, a c-pen is advantageous because it offers certain give and more natural glide. For longer texts I use an Apple keyboard.
I am looking for a new WiFi-only 8" tablet. The Galaxy Tab Active3 looks like the best performer with its Exynos 9810 processor and 128GB of memory. I also like its SD-card storage and 3.5mm jack. Price isn't too bad at $509.
Here are the issues that I am running into.
These tablets are not available anywhere. Has anyone purchased one in the USA?
Still running Android 10. Any news on Android 11 or custom ROMs?
Root has not been achieved which would be a deal killer for me. There seems to be some hopeful signs when I do a search
Lack of a dedicated XDA forum group is discouraging that items 2&3 are being actively addressed
Lastly, I dont need the ruggedized feature and would like a slimmer case that can hold up the tablet for watching movies on a plane.
Maybe I need to hold out for a non-ruggedized version of this tablet. Does anyone think that is likely?

ive been looking and this is best 8inch tablet out there right now. Its getting android 11 right now, but idk about root, i dont use root on my tablet. Missing forum group is also bad yes
A slimmer case does not do much good since the tablet itself is already chunky.
I would just use it without a case, it is certainly not as fragile as regular tablets and can take a beating.
I have had one for a couple of days now and it is starting to grow on me. I will probably going to use it as my main device and also use it as a phone.
Today I got the Otterbox Universe case which I like better than the stock case.
The S-pen stores on the side instead of on the top on the Samsung case which I find more convenient.
I would also prefer an 8-inch version of the Tab S7 but we are in a minority.
I have used a Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4 and M6 Turbo 8.4 in the past but these gave problems with certain Google functions (location never worked as it should in certain apps) and the strict killing of apps in the background annoyed me.
Hardware wise they were excellent though, a much more premium feel than the Active3.

are you based in the US and what model is the Tab active 3. i just ordered a T577US/DS model and on amazon several people have said it can’t be used as a regular phone.
Can someone please let me know if the model SM-T577 can be used as regular phone ?
If not can i flash the stock for the same with the european version (SM-T575) for it to work?

I bought one... They are on ebay and being shipped. Be aware many times the 4G version is the same price as the WiFi depending on which knucklehead is selling it. No rhyme or reason. I think B&H is selling them too reasonable. You are looking for a T570 for wifi only and the T575 and T577 for the cellular enabled units. Keep in mind that all of the T575 units I have investigated have dual sim and the second sim can be substituted for a micro SD. The 4G version is just worth more money and is convenient if you have to travel. Especially out of the country. Or if you sometimes work somewhere away from all the pests and distractions. It just makes sense. I bought my open box unit 128gb dual sim through make and offer of $250usd plus 12.50 shipping. There are good deals to be had. Just spring for the 4G one. Its really worth it especially with
I have T575 and can use like regular phone.
Rooted with Magisk ( copied here: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...ChAWegQIChAB&usg=AOvVaw2prG-uE2LdqUQQQJWYZaLS )
Take the Magisk modified tar file. Replace vbmeta.img with a zero-byte file, pack it together again, flash it. This is enough for rooting the SM-T575.
But, before that (!!!) check if KnoxGuard got tripped... power down the phone, connect it to USB, then press volup+voldn together. It should not show "KG STATE" at all. If it does, especially if KG STATE is "Checking" or "Prenormal", flash stock with CSC (basically, wipe it), connect it to the internet during setup and keep it continously online and powered for at least 7 days / 168 hours. Only then you will be able to flash.
I have my work's Galaxy Tab Active3 tablet here, which I locked with a password a months ago and I can't seem to recover... Can anyone please tell me how to:
1) Shut it down
2) Enter recovery mode
Any help would be appreciated!!

Just search for GALAXY NOTE S PEN and chose the one with the highest rating. I would assume the note 20 edition with a 4.9 score would be good but it might as well be just the same as every previous note pen.
I have tried an original note 9 pen and it works flawlessly.
Bear in mind that buying the cheapest product with a lower score might not be great as the S pen might have low sensitivity. Back in the note 5 days I got me a cheap Chinese knock-off and although it worked, I had to press a bit harder on the screen than I should have had to.
Just 5 minutes ago I went onto Ebay and found a samsung pen for a note 4, for like $2. I'm going to try it and throw it away if it doesn't work well.
The trick was choosing an ugly color that nobody wanted, in my case "coffee" color I guess is not very popular, but the price changed for that color only, the other colors were like $6.
I'm hoping to use this as a temporary thing until Samsung releases the fancy full featured pen.
