Is there a thread about all official Xiaomi tools? - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Questions & Answe

Hi there,
I'm new to the xiaomi world and looking to unlock and flash a custom ROM on my 9T Pro. I found a couple of tutorials and different ROMs and most threads talk about unlock tools, flash tools, MI suites, etc. Most of these tools link to sites which range from dodgy looking to legit looking but is there a "vetted" list of official / safe tools to use?
to give you an example of links here are a couple:
https://xiaomiflashtool.com/category/download
https://xiaomifirmware.com/downloads/miflashpro/
https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2 which links to
"MIUI ROM Flashing Tool" => https://download.appmifile.com/images/2019/07/01/09cdc3a7-5a11-42aa-81f4-be27fe12ce80.msi
"Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Latest Europe Stable Version Fastboot File Download" => which is a dead link

c.mi.com is the official global community site and forums, so anything found there should be trustworthy.
Here's a link for the Mi Unlock Tool, needed to unlock the bootloader.
https://c.mi.com/thread-2262302-1-0.html
It's actually an unlocking guide, but has links for the Unlock Tool too.
Here's a link for flashing official MIUI ROMs
https://c.mi.com/thread-1857937-1-0.html
In the section for fastboot flashing you'll find a link for the Mi Flash Tool
xiaomifirmware.com is a site/tool made by an xda member and anything found there should be trustworthy. Everything on there has been taken from the official Xiaomi sites by automated scripts. It's a very good one stop shop for any official ROMs and firmware.

Yes, you can.
[Tools, Tips & Tutorials] Unbrick Bootloop/Flashing Official Fastboot ROM for Mi5 with Locked Bootloader
Type this in google and the first result will be the thread from en.miui.com. Just follow the steps from that thread.
And yes, this rom is unofficial, full of bloatware rom.
(Can't post links )
Yes you can. Just have a visit to the official miui forum. Go to the devices, select MI5/Pro, Go to the tips and tutorials and you should see a post called. Just follow that. It worked for me. Bootloader locked and unlocked does not matter!

Yeah my phone also use this version, bought my phone from malaysia. But i already flash china stable rom.

How to - unlock bootloader and which recovery should I use?

Hey,
My girlfriend owns Redmi 4A and I need to change system from a crappy chineese miui to Oreo rom. How do I unblock bootloader? I have read that you need xiaomi permission to unblock. How it can be done?
Next, which TWRP version should I use? I read that official have some issues with vendors and there are unofficial ones floating on XDA. Could you share a link?
Thank you

You can get the European Mi 9T Pro ROM from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/k2...irmware-10-3-8-0-9-6-13-t3939647/post79726515
Scroll down and look for Global EEA title
Select and download the fastboot ROM under that title.
This guide is from the official global MIUI forums https://c.mi.com/thread-1857937-1-0.html
It tells you how to unlock the bootloader and flash an official ROM. You'll want to go the the fastboot flashing section.
This should have all the info you need.

Thank you very much for the comment. One more question , Why choosing the EEA rom and not the Global rom?
I heard that the global rom updates faster.
Thank's.

Mainly because that post doesn't have the global ROM. Where it says global, it is actually the Indian ROMs. Before the Mi 9T Pro was released many people were, incorrectly, calling the Indian ROM a global ROM and the OP labelled the Indian ROMs as global. He really should change that now to avoid confusion.
If you want the global version there is a thread with links for it somewhere.
Here's the thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/rom-miui-10-global-t3963699/post80169909

Yes that's the official global ROM. Just make sure you download the fastboot ROM. To flash it you need to extract everything first. In Windows you'll probably need to extract it twice, depending on your zip software. After extracting the first time you might have a file without an extension, of this happens rename the file and add .tar to the end of the filename. You will then be able to open and extract this file, giving you the folder that the Mi Flash Tool needs you to point it to.

Version confusion, Ads, NFC, Update

So here I've gathered some information found in the internet but I still have some confusions. Please help me.
RAPHAEL - K20 Pro - XXXCNXX - Chinese
RAPHAELEEAGlobal - MI 9T - XXXEUXX - European
RAPHAELININ - K20 Pro - XXXINXX - Indian
RAPHAELRUGlobal - MI 9T - XXXRUXX - Russian
RAPHAELGlobal - ??? - XXXMIXX - ???
Which region is RAPHAELGlobal and what's it called?
Which region has call recording?
Which region gets updates fast (except China)?
And lastly I know that the Indian variant has no NFC but I don't know if all the others have.
Just buy a k20 pro/mi 9t aka Raphael and install miui.eu for the best stock setup without ads, with nfc, call recording.
There's only two models Raphael and Raphaeli. The latter which is Indian and without nfc.

The global version is for all others regions that don't have a specific region ROM and is for the global version of the Mi 9T Pro. You might want to call it global Global.
Europe and global ROMs don't have call recording.
So far, for MIUI 11, India came first, then European, global has not got a MIUI 11 release yet. But there's no guarantee that will always be the same order in future.
All other versions have NFC.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm going to buy this device and was really confused about which to get. I'll go for the "global global" version.
@Robbo.5000 can I buy a Chinese K20 Pro and flash global rom in it? Is there any global rom for Chinese K20 Pro? As the global version is called MI 9T?

The phone is Mi 9T Pro outside of China and India.
Yes, you can flash any region ROM on any region phone. (So can flash a global ROM for the Mi 9T Pro onto a Chinese K20 Pro.) OTA updates will continue to work.
You need to unlock the bootloader to be able to cross flash ROMs from different regions and you will not be able to lock it after. You will brick the phone if you try to relock the bootloader with a ROM for a different region installed.

I hope you guys don't do this. Many people have bricked their phones doing this.

They only brick their phones because they forget to change the flash option and so accidentally lock the bootloader. I have pointed that out in my above post.

Thanks, where can I find all the fastboot ROMs? It seems Xiaomi changed "en.miui.com/a-234.html" this link, I wasn't active on the development side of Android for some times so I'm kinda lost.

These are untouched and taken directly from the Xiaomi download pages. Probably the best source for Xiaomi ROMs outside of official Xiaomi website.
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/
The old global MIUI site had moved to the new Mi Community site. Check it out here https://c.mi.com/global.
The article you link to has been moved to the Mi Community site, but recently, within the last month or so, I've no longer been able to find it.
I believe I have posted links to the new version previously here, so if I searched my xda posts I might be able to find the link to it's new home.

Redmi K20 Pro - China Rom Convert to MI 9T Pro?

Hi All,
I recently purchased a new Redmi K20 Pro off a friend who by mistake bought what I believe to be a Chinese ROM phone due to opening up apps in Chinese...
I have unlocked the bootloader and am ready to progress to flashing a new rom. However, I have seen in videos and read that you need to flash the correct rom in order not to brick the device. You can create issues by not using the correct vendor rom?
I have searched and I am unable to find a correct guide that will work for the device I bought...
Can anybody please point me in the right direction with what I need to do in order to get my phone to a global rom where all apps are in English please?
MIUI Version - MIUI 11.0.8 Stable
11.0.8.0 (QFKCNXM)
Android Version - 10
Baseband version - 1.0.c3-59.1-0322_2
309_f9ef867
Kernel Version - 4.14.117-perf-gc8b9
843
Hardware version - V1
I've been looking and found this guide - May I confirm this will be what I need to convert to a global rom and not brick my device?
Simple Beginners Guide to Raphael(in) Custom ROMs
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/simple-beginners-guide-to-raphaelin-t4020543
Thank you in Advance !!!
This is forum for 9T and you have PRO.
If you've unlocked bootloader you are good to go - flash twrp and enable usb debugging. See what model do you have in settings - it can't go wrong if you stick to specific device
