Audiowizard does not seem to apply any effects - ASUS ROG Phone II Questions & Answers

I've been playing around with the presets and also custom equalizer. I don't notice any difference like no changes are applied even when I set bass or treble to max. Am I missing something here? Listening to my headphones

[Q] Low Base - Graphic Equalizer needed?

I'm using JM7, with Tayutama 1.2 and Voodoo 4 beta.
Can anyone tell me why I seem to have lost all base when playing music?
Is there a Graphic Equalizer I can use to turn it back up?
Thanks.
You haven't 'lost all bass' you are hearing the natural music without any distortion.
Voodoo lag-fix removes the infamous EQ filter Samsung enables when you plug in a Head-set.
Use the Samsung EQ if you want to mutilate your music again.
EDIT: The eq is in the music player, press Menu and options, then look for EQ settings.
Erm, I'm not pluging in a headset. Yes I am losing base, but I think it was more on the car stereo side as I've made some adjustments and I have base again.
Thanks.

[Q] Equalizer settings or Clear Audio+?

Hello everybody,
I just want to know which setting you prefer?
For me Clear Audio sounds pretty good, but what are your opinions?
my headphones (sennheiser cx 400 ii precision) pushes high freqs very strong. So it hurts my ears when using clear audio+
it sounds very well, but is way too loud. I have to use eq instead. sounds well, too! but it is much more quiet...
hope, some cool dev will fix that, so that we will be to use eq in comb. with clear audio:highfive:
For now im sticking with ClearAudio+ as its probably the best auto equalizer ive ever used
It depends on what you listen with and what you listen to.
For more 'modern' music on less high-end headphones ClearAudio+ is probably pretty nice. It widens the stereo and gives both lows and highs some extra push.
However, if you listen to jazzier or classical music and with higher-end equipment things get out of hand pretty quickly with ClearAudio+ (or with any strong equalizer).
VPT Surround on the Studio setting is pretty nice though, I like using that one.
I must be the only one who thinks clear audio isn't that great, its louder than the EQ but it is not very good for bass imo.
I use the eqaulizer with first scale on -10, second scale on -3, third scale on +3 , forth scale on +10 and fifth scale on -10, clear bass on +10 and studio setting on, Thats how I get the best sound for bass which is what I prefer in all my songs.

It's not that great for boosting lows, but it does a great job of leveling the whole spectrum with enchancements, dynamic range compression and virtual surround. I'm not saying it's great and amazing - but as far as auto-equalizers go, this is by far the best one.
But if you have specific needs - like stong low boost - then as R89 said, it might not be the best choice for you.
I prefer Equalizer settings it suonds good on my headphones
plus you can also find many eq settings on xda
I listen to predominantly rock, heavy metal, punk, grunge and the sort for which Clearaudio (as much as I do like it for listening to things like Lana Del Ray) is far to overboard to even try to listen for any length of time without some serious ear bleeding.
That said, I'd take it over HTC's BEATs junk anyday.
What is your opinion on using clearaudio+ for techno music ?? Does it "kill" high frequency sound ? or just lowers it?

[Q] Faux sound control

Is anybodu also using Faux Sound control?
Up to now I did not have problems with it but now I try to use it for
changing the left-right balance on the headphone speakers.
When using VLC or the built-in music player ypu do not seem to
have control over the balance, I know some other aps like Poweramp
do have this control but I do not like to add another app.
So then I remembered I'm already using the Faux sound control app.
Up to now I was using it for setting up a silent, loud or quality profile.
But with the custom profile you can change all the settings yourself.
So first of all I tried to change the analog g ain controls because I'm using the headphones with the audio jack but this did not help.
So then I changed the Digital gain controls, but when lowering the left or the right channel the result was that both of them went to the lowest volume.
In the sound control app they had a separate setting but in real life they took the lowest of both volumes.
I know I should ask this on Paul Reioux the creator of the app but I cannot find his email or support for his apps.

Walkman EQ setting

I just spent hours creating new playlists and transferred all music to Z1. I want to squeeze out best possible sound quality. Please share your EQ setting. I just started playing around with it and haven't found the right setting yet.
EQ Settings highly depend on the speakers/ headphones you use, because every setup is balanced differently.
Just play around with it, as far as audio goes there is no right or wrong, as long as you like the sound!
Hi, I'm an audiophile bro. I suggest you to just leave the eq off. Artists have spent so much time in the studio to create the perfect sound that they want you to hear.
It depends on your taste and music genre, I mostly listen to electronic dance music and setting the bass on 6+ makes that kind of music much better imo.
I'm using Poweramp pro but remember to turn off all the Walkman sound effects first as they sort of compile on top of each other making poweramp harder to setup
and leaving everything to default settings is fine if you are in a studio and using their sound equipment - the EQ setting can compensate for a poor set of earphones or if on a hifi system can alter setting to suit equipment and the room accustics - none of us will have a studio soundstage

ClearAudio+ and Dynamic normalize is the best for me.

Walkman EQ hyper beat....
Steps Settings> Sound enhancement > keep the mode on +10 +6 +7 +7 +10
now VPT = Studio
Enjoy the beat of songs....
Simply Clever no need of other music players....
Best EQ setting
Hi Sitti,
Squeezing out the best possible sound quality depends on the headphone you are using. If you have got a normal headphone, you need to play around with the EQ to get the best possible sound output. And, if you are using audiophile gear, you may not need to do any settings at all!
I will give you an example :-
I own a Sony Xperia M Dual. The default headphones which comes along with it are quite decent enough, with a dominant bass line. I am kind of an audiophile, I don't like too much bass. So, I have tweaked the EQ settings in the following way to get the best possible sound out of it :
Clear Bass Level : +7
Equalizer (left to right) - -3 +3 +4 -3 +2
Surround Sound - Studio
Clear Stereo - Off
Dynamic Normaliser - On
And, that's all! Trust me, you will love your music. Let me know.

That should definitely squeeze out the best possible sound!
Hi,
Please note that EQ settings are heavily dependent on the headphones you are using. Following EQ settings are according to my audio gear that I use. Believe me, they sound amazing! A bit closer to true audiophile gears!
My device : Sony Xperia M Dual
Headphone : Sony MH410C
EQ settings :
Clear Bass level : +10
Equalizer (left to right) : -4, +4, +4, -3, +3.
Settings :
Surround Sound : Studio
Clear Stereo : Off
Dynamic Normalizer : On
Happy Listening!
Another best EQ setting
Phone : Sony Xperia M Dual
Headphone : Sony MDR E818
Equaliser settings :
Clear Bass : +10
EQ (left to right) : 0 +2 +3 -3 +3
Settings :
Surround : Studio
Clear Stereo : Off
Dynamic Normaliser : On
Enjoy your music!
Well if you REALLY want to get the best possible sound out it I suggest getting the AC!D Sound Engine MOD.
Makes everything sound nice and clear with awesome bass. I have it on my Z1s and couldn't be more happy.

Works Nicely Volume is louder and my bass has more punch, along with the clear audio its just perfect!
If this helps Go ahead and and give me my first Thanks
I use Denon ah-d600 and I listen to metal.. Without any bass...to get enough I put the tru bass to 4.. And when I listen to music with bass in it I turn it down to zero...
Good headphones does not need eq... The equalizer destroys the sound to my ears

Thanks for the response.
If you feel male vocals lack warmth and depth, just increase the 400Hz from (-3) to 0., but not more than that, as it will introduce unnecessary hum.
If you feel too much bass, just decrease the Clear Bass level accordingly.
That should do it.

Regarding Xposed, Viper and ART

I have some issues with the Dolby Audio app, it changes the EQ in other musicplayers for ex. Google Music and The only way to switch back is to deactivate the Dolby app. You cant change the EQ more than 3db+ with headphones. It's like 1 milimeter on the EQ scale, it is so little that I cant even heat the difference. But Ive been Rolf here om The moto G6 forum that Xposed changes from ART to Dalvik and back, is this true? If it is true what's the negative size of it, because of its true it sounds like some kind of emulator.
