Cracked back glass out of nowhere? - OnePlus 7 Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

So I just pulled out my phone from my pocket with cracked glass on the back. I did see a few threads with people having a crack on the same location. Has there been any more reports in terms of glass cracking by itself or am i just unaware that i might've bumped into something. This occurred while walking down the street, there was no crack before that.
Also the phone has never been dropped and has been in the OEM case since i got it.
I find it weird that it could just crack like this by itself because by looking at the pattern it looks smashed in. Im at the point where i question reality

I've had this crack in the same direction out of nowhere too...
Always in a case no drops...

Very weird indeed

the position is always the same on the pictures that I saw, and always a black phone (?)
maybe there's too much tension on the frame around the volume buttons?
By the way, I find your volume button is coming out quite strangely (far more than on m nebula blue version, I'd say), was that before?

HTC Diamond

can anybody tell me how to watch sky mobile tv on htc diamond?
Sorry for not offering help (because I can't), but I had to write that this was the MOST innovative subject ever (not):
An "HTC Diamond" topic in "Diamond" section... You warranty that almost nobody will every look inside it (or in fact do look inside for the same reason I did).
Pitty forum software does not allow for empty subjects eh?

Don't take the reply by NLS (Senior Member!) personally, it is just that this forum is not really the place for a post like yours.
I have noticed that some of the people who post replys (not many) can be just plain rude & choose that option before explaining.
Were I you I would try a site like Coolsmartphone.com & join their forum or give your provider a ring.
Hope this helps.
there is a program called DiamondTV that can be found on this forum if you look close enough. i don't know wether you can watch your program with it, but it's worth a try

we are here to help each other ,,,,, is that too much to ask ????Mr. senior Member
This forum has rules.
They are to be followed. Except for the last sentance dig, the "Senior Members" post was reminding you guys of the rules.
Then you guys created this into a Flame thread, because "Junior Members" seems to think the policies and rules don't apply to them.
Guess what, they do. Here's a Link, Read and LIVE by these Guidelines.

Once again why you thought it wise to attack, NLS, or anyone for that matter is beyond me. Just because someone points out your mistake doesn't give YOU the right to break the rules.
Consider this a Warning to Everyone, If it DOESN'T contribute, Don't Post it!

Mashable: Two Social Media In Emergencies Articles

Two articles I found fascinating. Lately I've been feeling, since the back half of 2011 at least, that Mobiles are finally mature enough to become all in one portable media communication hubs. I could see setting up a device that does nothing but grab news/alerts and functions as your backup emergency device.

#Idiocy In emergencies there should be network-wide alerts. I don't and likely never will use FB, and have made exactly one twitter post directly to a company's support page.
Let's see, I can call 911, tell them my location, or if I'm in really bad shape at least have an open line so that they can hear I'm non-responsive and track my phone to find me or, while bleeding to death/losing consciousness I can attempt to type a coherent message giving my current position and hope that if it's not clear, emergency responders will be able to use my twitter id or whatever to backtrack and figure out who I am, locate a phone number for me, then try and track my position because I passed out before I could give an accurate locale.
Social media does not need to be the dedicated means by which to get time-sensitive messages out. The only value I can see in it is letting a large group know that you are okay or that everyone is meeting at a specific place and cellular networks are overloaded.
I wonder how long it will be before someone sues twitter or FB because they posted in their status that they needed help and no one responded quickly enough. Of course, much of this current generation had no idea that the Titanic and Holocaust were real, so I can't say I'm surprised that this is the present state of affairs.

Why don't you just save the data from the front page of the forums, import it into Excel using a macro I'm sure you can write for yourself and then let Excel organise it from highest to lowest so you can get your own data?

That kind of information is not publicly available. There's no reason for this other than the fact that the admins don't spend time producing stats for members to view - they've got more important things to do looking after the site. You'd need a pretty impressive reason for wanting this information for them to run reports of just for you, so I can't see it happening.
What you can do, however, is go here...

That's a list of every forum under every device, complete with the number of threads and posts. That's the best that available.

Answer a Puzzle and ask One

Hi friends. As the title suggests its simple and NO GOOGLING for answers. Be sincere.
You can Google for asking puzzles.
My puzzle:
A Japanese ship was en route in the open sea. The Japanese captain went for a shower removing his diamond ring and Rolex watch on the table. When he returned, his valuables were missing.
Captain immediately called five suspected crew members and
asked each one where and what he was doing for the last 15 minutes.
The Filipino cook (in a heavy overcoat):
I was in fridge room getting meat for cooking.
The Indian Engineer (with a torch in hand):
I was working on generator engine.
The Sri Lankan seaman:
I was on the mast correcting the flag which was upside down.
The British Radio officer:
I was messaging to company that we are reaching next port in 72hrs.
The British navigation officer:
I was on night watch, so sleeping in my cabin.
The captain caught the liar.
So, who is the thief?

1. There is already a puzzle thread in OT http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255833
2. You have already created one thread with similary title..
So this is duplicate of a duplicate thread. INCEPTION!
Ok... let me try.
A thread was created in OT... The creator of the thread logged out of his account. He later returned to discover there are two replies in his thread, which has been closed under (not so) mysterious circumstances. He immediately launched an investigation and decided to look into the two posts in great detail, lest he misses a clue.
The first post revealed the following:
1- His thread is a duplicate. 2- His thread is a duplicate of a duplicate. 3- He probably should've searched before posting.
Unrelentless, the aspiring detective moved on to the next post and found himself in a weird situation. It was as if an exterior eye was describing what was happening to him at that very moment. And then, it suddenly hit him...

Question Removed audio bloatware still processes audio

EDIT*** I realise I probably posted this in the wrong spot. Sorry, I am new to XDA. If you would be so kind to move this post if possible, instead of removing it that would be much appreciated.
So I got myself a ZenFone 8 the other week and noticed the heavy audio processing done by an Asus tool called 'AudioWizard'. Infuriatingly enough, there is no 'off-button'. I went on a Googling-spree and stumbled across this video by XDA: "How To Uninstall Carrier/ OEM Bloatware Without Root Access Video Tutorial"I followed it, and succesfully removed the bloatware from user 0 on the phone. The catch is that even with the app itself gone from the ui, the audio is still being processed in the same exact way. Through a popout-option in the volume menu I can still select the profiles previously set by the 'AudioWizard' and they still change the sound the way it did before (see the screenshot attached).
Do you people have any suggestions as to truly getting rid of it? I am hesitant about rooting my phone. I assume that voids my warranty.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to XDA. I hope you'll always get the support you require.
Just recognised your thread and especially your edit by accident. You're absolutely right it was the completely wrong forum. Because we expect something like that, some guidances and announcement are stuck on top of every forum like

What is 'Dirac' ? I am talking about 'AudioWizard'...
"Dirac is working audio miracles for mobile devices, providing them with bass and volume enhancement, premium sound quality, headphone optimization, and immersive sound – just the way consumers want it. They won’t believe their device could sound so good."
Disable or uninstall 'dirac control service' and try again.
