Hello everyone!
During the last few days I had a bricked nexus 6. Bootloader locked, no adb, no custom recovery. After several hard resets using stock recovery, the phone could boot. However, in the configuration process, it kept asking me for gmail account that was previously synced with the device. After some research, I discovered that it was a feature introduced with 5.1 and that I had to contact the seller ( which was impossible in my case as I bought it abroad). Another solution was to downgrade, but again it was impossible because I had no adb, no custom recovery, no bootloader unlocked. Surprinsingly, I went to a place here in Morocco where there are some people who flash phones and repair them. I asked one of them about my issue and he told me that it can be repaired. I am just dumbfounded as now I have a " working nexus 6".
I still cannot believe it! How couldn't I find a solution first here in xda? Or Am I missing something?
No one here knows how to bypass it. As far as we are aware, it cannot be done.
Perhaps your team have some special hardware to do it.
Anyway, even if we did know, there would be an ethical debate about releasing that info. No one would tell you.

Thank you so much for your clarification. It's true that the reset device protection is something useful which won't let thieves use our phones, however, there are many people like me who bought their phones legally but got stuck there due to a bad flash or because the seller forgot to erase his account before reset.
And yeah! those people have probably something special or they just know too much in coding.... ( some commands maybe we don't know )

The problem is that there is no way to give information (even if we had it) to those who legally purchased whilst also preventing it getting into the wrong hands.
Those who purchase legally should be protected by testing the device first, a credit card buyer protection/PayPal, contact with the seller or returns policy. Buying outside this is pretty foolish.
I would be interested to know how they did it though.
Was the phone bricked when you bought it, or did you brick it after using it with your google account.
If you used your google account then it would have been tied to you. If that is the case then they fixed some other error.....
Just because this phone using eMMC,not some fuse in CPU to log the ID.So,just change device id,imei.Everything is fine.
I know I've done several factory resets and it always asks for that, BUT, if you flash the stock firmware and have your sim in it I've had it skip that process entirely.
You can try flashing, check if it asks, then flash it again? I know I've bypassed it in the past "accidentally" by doing that.
Maybe it still somehow knows its me? Idk.
They likely used J-Tag to downgrade it.

hi dears, i bought a second hand ARCHOS 50 helium Plus. i can not complete setup. i am blocked while it asks me to put the google account and when i put my google account it says " this device was reset to continue sign in with a google account that was previously synced " i tried to rest the phone. please help..........
Sorry, but the only person that can help you is the person you bought the device from. They will need to sign in to the device, remove their account from the device, then factory reset before you will be able to use it. And before you ask, no, there is no other way to resolve this.
P.S. While the site appreciates that you actually searched for a thread related to your problem, this is the Nexus 6 forum. In the future, your questions are better asked here.

If you follow the directions you will be able to bypass it. This new little security thing was bypassed within hours of it being known about.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/guide-frp-bypass-solution-usb-otg-t3261846
The easies way is unlock the bootloader, and flash the device with the latest stock image.
thanks

If you dont learn something new every day then it is a wasted day man. We all learn new things every day. No matter what security is implamented it will be bypassed ini short order. Heck FP scanner was bypassed within days, Facial rec was done in hours. This one didnt take that long either.
Knowing it's possible is one thing. Explaining how to do it is another. I believe in the future I'm just not going to respond at all to people asking how to bypass the lockout. After responding to someone on these forums who admitted bypassing the account lockout on a found phone, I have to assume that anyone trying to bypass the lockout is a thief.

This is what we do here. We bypass things. Mainly security features. Just look at all the features the OEMS use to lock things down. Things like root, S-off (HTC devices) Bootloader unlocks that dont trip knox (samsung), Bypassing fingerprint and facial rec locks, bypassing pattern/number locks and such.
All those things that you mention aren't anti-theft measures. Those things are the hoops we have to jump through to take control of the devices we've bought and paid for, or are in the process of paying off. They are not intended to prevent the device from being used if the device is lost or stolen.
The account lockout is an anti-theft measure, and I firmly believe that discussing means of circumventing an anti-theft measure should not be allowed on XDA. Obviously, I do not make the rules for the site, nor am I anybody important. But this is simply not acceptable, and I have a problem with it.

Thing like lockscreen locks, fp locks and facial rec are meant to lock the device yet we show time and time again how to bypass them.
As it is common knowledge that all you have to do is format all partitions and flash a stock image and boom it is bypassed.
To be honest no anti theft measure will ever work on an open source platform mainly not a nexus. That is just something that people have to come to terms with.
Hey there,
Long story short I received a Note 8 from one of my relatives although they can't remember which Google account they used on the phone. The phone is now reset although it is prompting me to log in to their account. I've tried researching this but all of the methods seem to be outdated. This is my first time ever using an Android phone, it'd be awesome if someone could help me out!
Thanks
How many Google accounts does one have? The Note 8 is less then one year old... account forgotten?
If you have a proof of purchase, the carrier (if branded) will unlock it

Have him log into google play using a web browser(not from a smartphone) with each of his google accounts, under settings -> my device it will list all past android devices associated with that account (SM-N950**, obviously * represents model number)

Hey guys!
I'm sure there is a lot of posts like this one but I couldn't find the right one so if someone finds it please share
So my problem is that my dad bought a Huawei p30 pro (Vog-l29) and little did he know about the google account.. I did a factory reset and now I'm stuck.. Any ideas how to fix it?
I'm far from pro in doing stuff like this but I'm familiar with a lot of ways so if some one with more experience could just point me in the right direction with names of programs and files I would be very thankful! I've read a lot of ways to do it but then they mention that it won't unlock it.. I have a USB cable for it and a Windows computer, do I need something else?
Would really appreciate some help!
Thanks in advance!
Ask your father his password and 'voilà'.. You'll be good to go!

Please can I get some helpful answers..

Usually, looking for frp bypass means a lot things...
If not, just try 'frp' on the search bar, there's subjects about.
And, of course, you could also go to an official repair center : they'll unlock it for you.

Hi. I guess the easiest way is to flash the factory image to the phone.
Look here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...orial-vog-l29-flash-firmware-153-usb-t3928793
When I flash new firmware my Google account is gone and I have to enter my information to start the phone with my account.
Its not that hard to flash the firmware. Follow The guide.

You must have online emails and ebay or whichever site you used logs from the sale/purchase, phone number of the seller had to come from somewhere
How did you pay for it? Bank transfer/Paypal, both have paper trails/logs of the seller
Find it hard to believe you have 0 proof of purchase and 0 methods of contacting the seller

Next time don't buy dodge phones (likely stolen) from random FB people, there's usually a reason why FRP is locked

I know, my dad didn't know about this, he thought it was like the old days when people still were honest..
Probably doesn't matter anyway, even if you did get back into it, if it is stolen it will soon be IMEI blacklisted and be useless as a phone in your country
Thread cleaned up a bit.
First of all, xda does allow threads regarding FRP bypass as long as it's clearly not for illegal purposes.
Second, if you think it IS for illegal purposes, report it! Don't reply as if you are a Moderator of this site or flame the member. This could land you in hot water.
I'll quote some of the rules here since it's MY job to do so:
2. Member conduct.
2.3 Flaming / Lack of respect: XDA is about sharing and this does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) or rudeness. Flaming or posting with a lack of respect is unacceptable. Treat new members in the manner in which you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instructions when you can, showing them respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
2.5 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
10. Help others if you can.
If you see posts from others where you can help out, please do so. This place exists because people are helping each other, and even if you are relatively new to the matter, there's probably quite a few people with less experience than you, who could benefit from what you've learned. Don't be shy.

I think this is where the confusion is coming from, there seems to be different rules per device forum
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76762598&postcount=7
Having been Samsung for years I've had it drummed into my head that 'any' talk of FRP bypassing is against XDA rules

Thanks but that post is actually incorrect. I assure you we do allow them unless it's clearly breaking the law. It all stems from the introduction of FRP when devices were being sold without the Google account being properly removed. Many users found themselves in this exact situation. They purchased a device that had been simply factory reset. Which was enough before the introduction of FRP but now when they set up their newly purchased device, they are asked for the previous owner's password.
Therefore xda has allowed these threads as well as the actual methods of bypass to be posted. There are legitimate uses.

Guys hope all of you doing good.. Be careful and check before buying used mobiles.
My wife she bought MI 9T PRO through facebook marketplace which they sold very low price. She used that mobile for few days then the device went into bootloop. Then i did factory reset which went into locked screen and ask for unlock code. Only im able to connect with Wifi which is no use. The seller didn't provide any MI Acccount details or any mobile number which associated with MI Account. We asked his help but he told that last year he bought from some other person who's unreachable as of now.
Note: Its not stolen or lost mobile. We paid for that thats why struggling to fix it. Its our mistake that we are careless when buying used mobile. Lesson learned
I did my best to fix it by myself. Here is Error list and its going to be big challenge for me to bring back the device to life.
RAPHEAL GLOBAL VERSION 12.0.4.0
RECOVERY VERSION 3.0
I GUESS MAJOR ISSUE IS FIND DEVICE ON
1. MI FLASH TOOL
Cannot flash "Find Device On" and "Use Authorized Account".
2. BOOTLOADER LOCKED
Error: Cannot receive token to unlock bootloader. (Fastboot working). So i cannot flash TWRP to do complete wipe
3. MI UNLOCK TOOL - Fail at 99% because i try using different account to unlock (I dont have current MI account details)
4. QFIL (QUELCOMM FLASH TOOL) - EDL MODE
I used TEST POINTS to go into EDL MODE and try to flash old version, new version so many times. Only 2 minutes QFIL flash results "DOWNLOAD COMPLETED". After i turn on the device still its lock protected.
5. MAGIC BOX TOOL WITHOUT DONGLE- EDL MODE
Simply Its not working for me and throw errors. Please help me if you know how to use it properly for Mi 9t pro.
6. I.MI.COM
I submit application there but i didnt get any response until now. I dont know that MI CLOUD will help to or not because we are third owner.
7. UNLOCK SERVICES ONLINE
I read some topics about the same kind of issues they recommend to use kind of russian forums which i dont know exact site and im scared to be a victim again.
8. BYPASS TOOLS
More tools on internet i tried but nothing seems to be working. Always i get error and failed. "Hello packet issues in Mi unlock bypass tools".
9. NO AUTH FIREHOSE PATCH FILES
i found some firehose no auth files which doesnt help me to resolve the issues.
10. DOWNGRADE OR UPGRADE VERSIONS
I dont have idea that which tool i have to use for complete flash.
11. ADB
ADB Not working on fastboot. Im not sure adb enabled or disabled.
12. I dont have any FLASH TOOL BOX or DONGLES to try any other advanced methods.
Guys help me and guide me. Im struggling almost one week to fix this issue. Now covid19 pandemic so i cannot bring it to the service centers which may be expensive.
Sorry for my grammar mistakes, typo errors. I hope you guys understand the issues. Hoping for the best.
you need to email Xiaomi global, if they don't accept, email them again until they do, most likely your seller sold you a stolen device, btw don't waste your time trying to fix it yourself, I highly doubt it will work.
and also accept the fact that your 9t pro may never be functional again...
here is an example of what you could email them

As you said i sent email before one week but service.global refused to unlock my mobile. They told me to submit application at i.mi.com which i tried before 15 days. I didnt get response from i.mi.com.
Yesterday i contact them again. They told me to contact any service centers with purchase receipt. Also they gave another email ID which is xiaomi service in my county. I dont know that they want to help or not. Im confused and xiaomi customer service not good enough to give appropriate solution. I dont know whats next
You need an authorised account to flash in EDL mode. The average Joe cannot use Qualcomm tools on this phone. There are people who will remotely connect to your PC and perform the MIUI flash for you, using their own authorised account. They will charge around USD $20, but sometimes as high as $40.
@Robbo.5000 . Thank you for your information brother. It has active find device status thats why i cannot flash with an authorized account. I believe it will relock again and our 40$ which we spend will be useless. Please let me know if its not true. Please Share with me if you know any solution for lost mode xiaomi device.

Yes, i complain already local police station. but the seller already deleted his fb account. They said he used fake credentials and nowadays more scam online. They told me to send mail to xiaomi and inform this issue so they will contact the owner and come back to you. But the reality nothing happened. Xiaomi said they cannot help regarding this issue. Seller sent the item through cash on delivery motorcycle rider delivery service. The rider service just pickup the item at any location and deliver to the destination. The seller was wearing a face mask so the rider couldn't be able to look at his face. I followup and go through the formalities and i spend my time and effort on that. Finally everybody advise me and they told me to be careful next time. Thats why im here to ask for help. If i cant fix it then i leave the device on my shelf until i find solution. I spent money on that so im hoping for the best to happen. Its ok if the owner contact me ill return the device if its really lost.

XDA cannot instruct you to unlock a locked phone if it is done by illegal means.
You can just take it to the centre and get it unlocked by xiaomi by providing proof of ownership
If you have the original box or you should just take it to xiaomi repair centre and explain to them.

Pls read my post and know first that i have box or ownership. I told clearly in my post that we bought used mobile online and we received like this. When i open the parcel i dont get charger or any other box along with the item. Everybody bringing the free advice and im thankful for that. I defend with the previous comment because he try to accuse me that my firsr thread is all about stolen mobile. He also mentioned that return it to the owner it seems all of u trying to accuse me. Thats why i request all of u that if u have solution just post in my thread so i will go through that. Don't put me down or make me feel guilty for what happened to us. I understand what you coming to say and thank you for that.
Also I favout Xiaomi MIUI account protection as that only initaties if factory reset was done by going to the recovery menu and resetting.
It would not ask if it was reset normally.
So it means that someone had reset the phone without unlocking it normally and going to settings, I doubt the person who sold the phone even knew who had it. It is stolen definitely, if that seller bought it the person who sold it to them would have done the reset the right way.
This post is just all wrong and you won't be able to fix it.
Don't post threads on here asking people for help in potentially illegal and implicating others in your problem there.
I cannot even express how bad it would be if you got caught and they found that someone helped you unlock a stolen phone?
Don't you know when you were trying to unlock it the original owner could track the IMEI with the police?
The IMEI cannot be changed on your phone since the bootloader is locked.
If you are legitimately saying the truth then you don't need to worry, but if you have stolen it then it is only a matter of time before the police knock on your door.
AND FINALLY
XDA Developers forums do not endorse any type of potentially illegal activity and will take strict actions against people who are part of it.

Okay fine, but all that's is to inform the police to track if it is stolen.
Maybe you'll get your money when they find the culprit who scammed you.
We cannot help you unlock a phone that is protected by factory data protection, it is there for a reason and we cannot violate the rule that it was placed there for.
And the fact that it could implicate us in legal stuff is something we don't need during these times

Wow, let me tell you.
Blackhawk isnt trying to disrespect you or anything, yes he is a long time member of XDA so what.
He is rightfully able to be suspicious as people do it a lot here.
XDA cannot instruct you to unlock a locked phone if it is done by illegal means.
You can just take it to the centre and get it unlocked by xiaomi by providing proof of ownership

Please read his first comment. He said return it to the owner so it will work. I know It happened in our life that we were scammed by seller. Its our fault that we didnt meet the person and we didnt check the item before make payment. For that no need to put me down for asking help. Its ok if there is no solution. We accept that is loss and we learnt to be careful from that.

just talk to the cyberpolice?
They'll even find and return your money.
Unless you cant.
The local police wont do anything, i advise you to call the cyberpolice.
They can find him even if he deletes his ‘credentials’

Hello everyone! Though my account is new, im not rreally new here (some mods might remember me.) I had an account earlier with the same username as of now. Back then, I came here to get some help to revive my Galaxy tab 2. I did revive it and It wouldn't have been possible without XDA. later I deleted the account thinking I might not need it again but I found myself back yesterday searching for help to revive another tablet I have. I actually regret deleting that earlier account. anyway my goal is to get the tablet ive some more years. Its running android 6 stock which is not great in 2022.
Moral of the story: NEVER delete XDA account, you will always need it sometime in the future
