Can root access (Magisk) be installed via fastboot?
Are gapps included in above image?

I am very interested in this as well. Seeing how the only difference between the H3113 & H4113 is an extra SIM slot for the second, it shouldn't be that much of big deal, right? I could be wrong though.
I think new update is needed:
OCTOBER 4, 2019 | 81.68 MB
SW_BINARIES_FOR_XPERIA_ANDROID_10.0.7.1_R1_V1C_NILE.ZIP
I was looking at Sony's website. and noticed this...
November 22, 2019 | 80.11 Mb
SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_10.0.7.1_r1_v2a_nile.zip
For all devices: Added camera, sound calibration, sensors. Also fixed keymaster and Adreno.
How do you know what exactly was updated in each update?
Sony's "Current platform functionality - Maintained devices" page lists only kernel 4.4 (android 8?) and not 4.14 . And that doesn't offer a whole lot of info.

I was wondering this also. I would think this rom would run on any of these devices without changes. Mine's a H3123.
One more question I was wondering about...Would a xa2 Plus or Ultra rom work on any XA2 ? The Sony binaries are the same for Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia XA2 Plus according to the Sony website.

SW-bins (OEM/Vendor-image) are may be same, it contanes camera profiles, adreno & net-firmware or other firmware what is needed... When u compile the rom(System-image) u chouse em like an options in Board-configs. And for Boot-image u chouse for a what model it'll be with the kernel-defconfig. In thats the big difference. So, for compile working-well rom for Ultra or Plus u should to use configs for that models, not for XA regular. For example: all of this models used different displays\touches. If try rom from Ultra in regular XA2 then u can damage display or it'll be work not properly.
The problem was not resolved, he could not boot
could it run on Sony xa2 h3113 because Android 10 would be very nice on it since it comes with the new dark mode and the lock screen layout is a bit different?
yea could it acctually run?

Yes we have made a test build with camera and it works but not fully and will
Not released in near future we revert the test build commits and now its complete without cam and we will bring it back only if its fully working
No but we are working on community drivers based on aosp but i will not relase any build with camera now
Edit: it seems that David viteri has fixed audio for Z3 and maybe his commits fix audio on z2
Audio and Video playing is fixed in the next build but the colours on Video are totaly wrong like on Android l aosp
Next build will be avabile tomorow and now i will use it as my daily driver
Wow this thread just made my day! Been dreaming about working aosp build for z2 for so long! Do you accept donations for your awesome work?

In my opinion, this ROM is not ready as a daily driver. You can try it on your own, but never tell me that I have not warnt you. It is not very stable and the GooglePlay Services crash often. This ROM is mainly for people who want to try something new. I will continue making builds every 1 or 2 weeks or every time a major thing gets fixed (e.g. camera).
Good see CM 13 coming to Z2... Thank you for your efforts

I don't think the camera would work on any camera apps available due to the missing drivers, before the Aosp blobs merged with cm (before 20 Feb) cyanogenmod was...let's say, less stable than what it is now,So yea there's like 80% chance that this rom would not have a working camera.
Keep up the good work, you're the only person who's working on cm 13 for z2 so I gotta give u alot of credits :good:

Something is really wrong with microsd card mount in system. It detects like a new card after each reboot. File system exFAT. Also there is second fat for APPS2SD (f2fs).

That's mean camera all functionally working and quality(especially low ligh performance) better as locked stock?
Good day XDA users.
These days I'm try to understand Mi A1 system partitions, and it's quite difficult and new for me.
My main goal is to get MIUI working on my Mi A1 phone.
I was able to save leaked Oreo ROM to system sparse format, also I prepare an easy tool for flashing that Oreo ROM via fastboot scripts.

Hi.
Make sure you have adb drivers installed for fastboot mode: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Bro @JamFlux im sharing my noob knowledge on mi a1 partiton system.
Bro our mi a1 have skip_initfs on kernel side.
Ab partiton use initfs or ramdisk from system partition intead of boot.img the boot.img ramdisk is only there for recovery only and whole root fs is changed on mia1
And selinux policy also devide into various location on system and boot.img. bro u can see chainfire and topjohn theory how they root ab partiton device they expailed every thing on thier thread "they expailed in pixel thread"
Mi 5x dev able to boot our whole system image and boot.img only changes with ramdisk.
U are the creator of epic miui.
I can wait to see miui on our mia1 now u are looking on our mia1 soo im very happy to see u here to develop for our mia1.
After installing ADB drivers still I am not able to flash Oreo. What should I do now. Same massage is there.

I've used many phones (Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note 3, Mi Note 3,Mi A1... and many mores) and I've never been spoiled with so many ROMs like I have been with this phone and this incredible developer
You're doing God's work my man!
İncredible !!
Wow, wasn't expecting this at all. Reminds me of the good old XOSP, nice !
Thanks!
What custom kernel do you suggest to use this with? Is anything okay?
Thanks a lot
Coming from an Xperia fanboy - this is great!
Excitement
October security?
Looks great!!. Face unlock?
Thanks a lot for the ROM.
Unfortunately the framework bug is a big no-go for me, if it wouldn't be, it would definitely be my daily driver.
Looks Great!
Gonna try it out.

Wasn't able to get it to boot.
I used the MSM tool to go back to Oreo, updated to Open Beta 8, and then installed the Xperia Firmware. But I ended up in Qualcomm Crash Dump Mode both times I tried.
Do u Flash OB8 OTA.zip in both slot?
Author said that it's a MUST!
after flash it, wipe data and do the .bat flashing, good luck!

I just wonder why this ROM needs OB8 as Base which is quite old if I am not wrong or??
Which security Patch level has this Xperia 5 Port?
Invalid sparse file format at header magic. What's this, and why is it happening?

Thanks, got it to boot.
Here's what I did:
-Format data
-Flash OB 8 + TWRP
-Reboot recovery
-Flash OB 8 + TWRP
-Reboot Recovery
-Format data
-Boot to Fastboot Mode
-Flash .bat
I got stuck on setup wizard as it froze the phone. Then I modified build.prop to skip it, but now the phone keeps freezing and re starting.
Can someone give me the link to the Google Camera 7 that works on this system? I can't find it.

Thanks, I'll try it when I have some time.
Just to make sure, I should go into TWRP after the first boot of the Xperia Firmware. Then wipe data, not format data, then flash Magisk and later kernel if still not working?
