as the title says my back camera has just stopped working a few days ago
i had a stock china rom and every thing was working very fine
suddenly it stopped
when i try to use the camera app it just stay black
i have tried other apps like googel camera and open camera and the same problem remains
so i unlocked the bootloader an install twrp then installed xiaomi.eu rom ( miui 11 android 10 ver 9.9.26 )
and it didn't work as well
the front camera is working fine when i use it in messenger
but when i swich to the back camera it doesn't work
sometimes ( very rarly ) it works and i had the chance to check all the 3 cameras and all of them works fine but after a minute or tow the problem comes back .
so i run a hardware test ( setting / about phone / all specs / press on kernel version 6 times to lunche CIT app )
when i try to test the main rear camera the CIT app stop responding
but the the second and the third camera are working fine
i'm sure 100% that i didn't dropped my phone ( in water or on the ground )
my question is : is this a hardware problem for sure ( i don't want to open my new phone for nothing )
and are there any app that can let me use one of the sub cameras without depending on the main camera
i hope this is detailed enough ( there are some screenshots that you can check ) .
thank you in advance

oh well, nevermind the previous post, the phone died on me today, it just stuck at bootloop and cant enter recovery mode no matter what i try, trying the fridge trick to at least try to recover the data, otherwise i will get a new one (Maybe LG G5 but i wonder how is it).
thanks anyway.
Hello everybody, I'm new on this forum and with this phone (like 2-3 month using it) and recently I rooted my phone and I thought that all were ok, but I open the camera app on the morning and it was very bad: The configuration of resolution were switched, on the frontal camera was the resolution options of the back camera and vice versa, I can't focus on the back camera and the resolution is very poor and on the frontal camera turns a reddish color (I don't know if it is written correctly). What could be the solution to this? First of all, Thanks
PD: unlocked bootloader, TWRP recovery and rooted.

Have you tried wiping camera data or uninstalling, then reinstalling the camera updates?
(Settings > Apps > Camera > 3 dot menu > Uninstall Updates)
If all else fails, try restoring stock firmware.
I have the same problems, idk what to do. ¿Did u find any solution? I don't want to restore my phone, help ;-;
use this tutorial < https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e4-plus/how-to/moto-e4-plus-guide-to-rooting-mediatek-t3668753 >
+ONLY MEDIATEK VARIANT+with all the risk it take+don't blame me if you hard brick your device+
in my personal case the reason of that error was because i use magisk to root so i had to reflash stock rom, do all the tutorial and flash the r310beta.zip from this < https://superuser.phh.me/ > to get root access.
hope you can make it like i do.

What she did is

2. App & notifications
3. Permissions
4. Microphone
5. Click on 3 dots on the right hand corner and press show system
6. Scroll down until you find screen recording and make sure its enabled.
7. After that the screen recording is working.

Hi there, I got 2 Xiaomi Redmi 4X devices, both rooted, running Xiaomi.EU rom.
Now, I've enabled HAL3 API on both devices but I've found a weird difference between the two devices, could it be possible that Xiaomi used different camera sensors?
Device one (with google CAM working perfectly, HDR, ... etc ...)

Device two (with google CAM crashing when opening)
Device two crashlog:
Does anyone who any ideas, suggestions tips?
Thanks in advance!
ofcourse possible.
As i know redmi 4x aka Santoni used Samsung or Sony for sensor of Rear Camera.
So it possible for different capability of each sensor.
As far as I know xiaomi has used Samsung camera for rear and omnivision camera for the front for Redmi 4X santoni.
It may be differ by country or region.
You can find camera sensor by going into engineering mode in about phone.( Actually I forgot how to go to engineering mode since it's been long I haven't used MIUI or Xiaomi.Eu ROM)
Or use hardware information app for camera details.
If in any case camera's are different then there could be restrictions of performance of camera and it capability.
Google camera doesn't work properly when used with MIUI or in xiaomi.eu ROM.
Just want to ask, does this two phone running on same ROM version of xiaomi.eu? Sometimes software might be issue.
Hello,
I bought a pixel 5a device 1.5 months ago. Frankly I have to say Phone speed , image quality , sound quality , ram management , battery backup, display everything is super fine for me . But unfortunately my pixel 5a's camera have some major issues . I didn't find any solutions for these issues though I mailed google support team several time also report an issue through feedback apps but no luck. My issues are :
1. Whenever I'm going to take a photo in low might mode or room light there's some (maybe 3-4) bars appear in my camera screen which is called as camera shutter speed mark.
2. In 4k mode video recording I'm not able to record a video more than 1.20 -1.30 minutes . After 1.30 minutes it shows that my device is too hot close camera until device is cools off.
so I want to know is there anyone who also facing the same issues like me ? and what is the solutions for these issues?
Thank You .

The overheating in 4k is a common issue from my understanding. My solution unfortunately was to switch video to 1080. It seemed to resolve that issue but needs to be fixed. I'm not a huge fan of 4k video, but know others have it. If a product offers a feature that feature shouldn't be crippled by hardware shortfalls.
