Move from fake rom to official rom?

Hi everyone. Im really new to Xiaomi devices. So here is my problem. I bought MI 5 with fake rom, it is common in my country. The rom version is 7.2.8.0.0(MAACNDB).
How to move from that fake rom to official? Does EDL mode still works for that rom version? Because I read somewhere that EDL is no longer work since 7.3.x.x and later.
I tried to flash MIUI 8 global from updater and it failed, after booted the rom remain the same. I also tried using MI PC Suite, when I hold shift and flash button (in chinese of course ) but it shows dialog reboot or fastboot.

I just tried using EDL method and it worked in my case. Thanks everyone, even there's no comment yet . Now im ready to rock!

Hello there,
i have some problem with my Mi 8. After flashing from Miui 9.5 to Miui 10 my phone became bootloop in recovery mode.
my device now locked.
i've allready try test point method but when try to flash china rom in Mi flash tool but get the notification error.
my xiaomi account not authorized.
when im try to UBL with miflash unlock, stuck in 99% with notif "Current account is not bound to this device"
can anyone help me?

I believe to flash back to China Rom which version is less than 9.5.17 or should I say the ROM without rollback enabled is prohibited by Xiaomi unless you have the EDL Authorization access in your account. I'm not sure how to get this EDL authorization. People are saying that if you have this EDL authorization you may flash to any rom. If I'm wrong, please do correct me.

Sorry to say, but I see hundreds of reports the last days about bricked phones.
Mostly about the Xiaomi redmi note 5 pro and the Xiaomi Mi 8.
Xiaomi doesn't want to give authorization for edl. so sorry to say but you can trow your phone in the trash bin.
Nothing will solve your problem due Xiaomi policy, u can't repair your phone it useless.
Xiaomi official statement is buy our products in your region.

You should have flashed a Xiaomi.eu rom. They are completely translated, without any China stuff and aren't as aggressive when it comes to flashing things alongside the kernel and system ( for example, you get to keep TWRP even after the flash, unlike pure stock ).
A lot of people mentioned an EDL account but you have to wait for a decent amount of time to get approval from Xiaomi. Don't throw your phone away like the guy above said. xD

Can you try this, please? It may work for you.

Has anyone tried to install the rom china developer with Chinese PC Suite 3.0? Being a newer version, you should let it install.

Global ROM - XiaomiToolV2

Can someone with a global rom/global eea/global ru redmi note 7 plug their phone into xiaomitoolv2 and see if allows them to download a fastboot package?
Im curious to see whether it actually comes up with anything or not

I have a Chinese hardware, unlocked. i have used this to flash a global rom, but cannot install twrp.

how can you flash global rom if theres no fastboot package?

I tried flashing TWRP using the auto flasher, the first time it worked but the TWRP would not boot, the second time I tried something got fu**** and I got "the system has been destroyed" message.
I want to flash a rom using miflash but I can't find a rom with the flash_**** files.
Does anyone got a link to a rom for mi9t pro.
like the one in this link(but for mi9t pro):

Here's the fastboot European ROM. If you want the global ROM then the same user posted links for the global version. I'll leave it to you to search, it's in the same subforum.

Just don't forget to extract the file 2 times, until you get a folder. Then you can flash it via MiFlash Tool.

I am on global mi9t pro, too.
I can tell you that according to the hardware , there're no differences between each versions.
I've just flashed the cn version to my global mi9t pro for the monitor oc mod and everything works fine.
however, the error was triggered by the flashing script in the pack.
(flash_all.bat, flash_all_except_storage.bat, flash_all_lock.bat)
Code:

and i can tell you that both 9tp and k20p are called "raphael"
so I think it might not the reason cause the error.
or you can try replacing *raphael" to *"

Others have had this problem, if I remember correctly I think they fixed it by using an earlier version of the Mi Flash Tool. Have a search around here to confirm this and find an earlier Mi Flash Tool. Or hopefully someone else can confirm or deny this.

please help me.i have realme x2 pro chinese rom and i was on realme ui 2.0 but i wanted to try a custom rom but the phone bricked while flashing custom recovery and now the phone does not boot and there is a message saying the current image (boot/recovery) have been destroyed‏ please i can not find the ofp file can any one help me​

Friend I have the same problem as yours. I've tried everything else I can't relive my realme x2 pro china. Have you managed to revive your device?

Please I need help. My REALME X2 PRO CHINA VERSION STOPPED. I was on Android 10 and I upgraded to Android 11, so that's fine. Then I invented to give a Hard Reset on Android 11 out of nowhere the device stopped. The ERROR that shows is: The current image (boot / recovery) have been destroyed and can not boot. Please flash the correct image.

dear realme, please give us a solution, i have realme x2 pro global version but now its completely briked after realme ui 2.0 update. my recovery is completely white and no custom recovery seem to work. please help, i have no phone

This happen to me and the solution for me after trying everything was to contact gsm mafia.
I had to pay in advance, and give them access to my laptop. Things that I would never have done in the past .
