Awesome man! Thank you for posting. I'll give it a try today.

Is there a reason none of the gcams so far have working slow motion video? I find it hard to believe that the hardware on this phone is incapable of slow motion... And this version removes the option all together...anyone know why? Can we get a working version with slow motion? I really miss that feature. Found it VERY handy when troubleshooting fast moving machinery at work.

I can't make it work on 8.1 yet...

On the MGC_6.1.021_RazerPhone2_V1a version, if I use the double-click side button shortcut to start Gcam, normal camera mode does not save images after capturing them. Switching camera mode works around this issue, but is inconvenient.
If I start Gcam normally from the app drawer, the camera mode saves images as usual.
Can you reproduce this issue?

When you call a Google camera from another application or the power button hdr + does not work.

If add it so that it works without fixing build.prop then the Google lens will not work.

I tried installing this apk but i get the "app not installed" when i try to install it. Anybody have an idea what it could be?
EDIT: Nvm, I did not uninstall an older version of the app. Now that i did, it installs fine.

Aux lens has less light sensitivity, it has no stabilization, so it makes the photo under any conditions worse than the main lens. aux lens is not needed ...

Any way to get this updated with the 60fps video recording?

So I downloaded and installed the new version today. The camera is much, much faster, but it crashes every time I try to take a video. Is there some combination of settings causing this?
Edit: I changed the interface style (in the mod menu) from Pixel III to Pixel II, and video now works! However there is now a bright flash at the beginning of the video that is actually captured in the footage.

For android 9.0 need to do it all over again. It will take some time.

I don’t know yet ... There will definitely be tracking focus in video mode (example: https://drive.google.com/open?id=10AGDx3aDS0Bue7lv1Ql1eMw4DEhQr21h) and there will definitely not be slow-mo, since the CONTROL_AE_AVAILABLE_TARGET_FPS_RANGES key will give a maximum of 30 fps for Android 9.0, and for slow-mo need 120fps.

Either way, without your work I'd have returned the phone the day after I bought it. So thanks again!

Would love a Pie version as well. Just ordered the phone with the price drop and camera is one thing that's lacking

All in one "best gcam" ports guide (working 6.1x) - stock oreo

Hi everyone. A lot of people are asking about the Gcam ports for this device, so I made a comprehensive list, explaining each version.
About GCAM ports:
The most stable ones are GCams apps version 5.1x (Pixel 2 mods). They work 100% fine, but they do lack night sight and the new UI.
From all 5.1 mods, the best ones are fu24's, and Arnova's ports:

I prefer Arnova's mod, it is more stable, perfect "out of the box" and I got better results with it, but fu24's version offers a lot more options.
Most 6.1x (Pixel 3 Ports) don't work fine on our device, because you will get a green tinted picture with front+portrait. However, recently, 2 working ports were found, but they are not that much stable, and they offer blurry/oversaturated/noisy selfies. They do have working night sight, photobooth and Google lens, but I personally would not recommend those ports, at least for now. If you are gonna use them for rear camera only (and 5.1 for selfies), it will be fine.

Ok

To fix the green tint issue on selfie cam, change the input model for the front cam to nexus 6p instead of pixel. Works on all the gcam versions I've tried so far

@VictorPLopes I see that you have the 3GB version, do you know if Arnova's 5.1 GCam works on 4/6GB version as I'm looking to purchase the phone.

I do think it does, probably. If I am not mistaken, some ports only works on the 6GB version.

Which is the best GCam after pie update....for Asus max Pro m1 2019...
I was useing before backrider but issue is in video when I try to take video in indoor conditions it get dark....pics is good..night mode work fine but recently it was means night mode not working properly...I have to clear data then also after one or two pics pics come out not good in N Mode if any body can help..finding me out best working GCam for Asus max Pro m1

I have zb601kl and my firmware is WW_Phone-16.2017.1906.056-20190772 Android 9 (Pie). I've 4gb/64gb variant. When I try to enter command

I've tried all the UBS ports(2.0 and 3.0) on my laptop. I've tried all the USB cables I had, and I've tried many drivers. Still having the same error.

I used the Arnova 5.1x port you most recommend ("GCam-5.1.018-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.3b1.apk") and these are the problems I found:
(1) Panorama shots do not save. When you press the shutter button while in Panorama Mode, the phone makes a sound indicating that the photo was shot, but then the live image on your screen freezes. It does not change, even if you wait 5 minutes. If you go into the folder where photos are saved, you will find no Panorama photo, and when you return to the app, it will switch back to the default mode: Portrait Mode.
(2) The app can successfully record and save videos, but you cannot view the videos by clicking on the preview button within the app, which opens Google Photos. The only way to view the video is to manually locate it using your file browser.
(3) Information about location / coordinates are not saved to the photos or videos.

Google Camera is the camera app for the Google Nexus and Google Pixel phones. It is not designed or intended to be run on other phones.
What is HDR+?
HDR+ is Google's proprietary image processing routine. HDR+ employs image stacking to control exposure, and also to preserve details, reduce noise, increase sharpness, etc. It is an all-in-one package.

Hello, sorry for the nubie status...
My phone is a LG G7 ThinQ (G710ULM), cross-flashed to Android 10 using a Canadian kdz).
I just installed your GCam port (7.3.018 v2.1). I then tried to load the configs file lgg7.xml but the new 'Camera' app says 'You don't have any configs!'
I tried installing the app from a GCam directory (at the same level as DCIM) on both internal and micro SD storage. I tried placing the same lgg7.xml file in both Configs and Configs7 sub directories - nothing works.
Seems that the app itself needs the Configs file since it's slow to track what you are pointing the lens at.
Any suggestions?

I'm unable to download the apk from the link. The website (MEGA) is using the data and downloading it but I can't find where it is storing it.

Most of the features are working, except the slo-mo and front flash.
But I have one question, the tap to focus seems not working, I can't change focus point to nearer/further object. Anyone experiencing same problem?

Question RAW/DNG on the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra

As far as I have seen in the stock camera app RAW/DNG is only supported on the main 1x camera module.
This is a real pity because in my opinion the results from the stock camera app is really bad.
The underlying hardware is able to achiev so much more.
Up to version 8.3 ProShot was able to access all camera modules and capture also RAW/DNG images.
In version 8.4 the access to all modules is broken for the Axon 30 Ultra.
The developed images are so much better than the JPEGs out of the stock app.
Especially the 35mm equivalent module (they call it 2x) is phantstic with a huge amount of details: sample on Flickr
Camera2 Probe only detects the main camera (main 1x).
OpenCamera also detects only the main 1x camera.
All GCam mods I found that work can see only the 1x and the 5x module.
Does anybody know another camera app that is able to access all camera modules and can capture RAW/DNG?

I found a litte tool on a telegram GCam channel (NGCam) in form of an APK based on this code here that reads out camera data (I think via Camera2 API).
From the output it gets clear why typical 3rd party camera apps see only the front and the main back camera and the other three modules (0.5x, 1.2x and 5x) reamin invisible to camera apps.
This is in my opinion a very problematic approach as we are forced to stay with more or less bad stock camera apps that do not justify spending a lot of money for so called flagship devices.

But i can see camera ids 0, 1 and 4 ( tele)
In same gcams i get also 0.5 and 1,2 but are not working.
The ids are visible to many gcams but I don't know why the cameras are not working .
Id 1 and 4 are working so also 2 and 3 should ...

GCam is not typical camera app (like OpenCamera). GCam seems to query the modules like the tool I used the overview does. The typical camera apps only seem to query the visible camera IDs.
For some reasons the Samsung GW3 sensors are not working.

With version 8.4.1 of ProShot the access to all modules/lenses is restored again an with that the ability to capture RAW/DNG images on all four modules on the back and with that to get the most out of the hardware the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra includes. As I am in the beta program there I am not sure if this version is generally rolled out yet.
Not as great as if one of the GCams would support all moduls/lenses but something I can live with very well.

Thx a lot for the information

When searching for an app to capture CinemaDNG I found the free MotionCam. The app detects all camera modules on the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra and is able to capture RAW/DNGs. Also RAW video for later processing in DaVinci Resolve can be recorded. The workflow is not easy but it is a very interesting opportunity.
Also image bursts can be captured that can be developed to a single image with a lot of settings to control the result. This result can also be preserbed in form of a DNG for later processing.
One drawback is that not all the meta data (EXIF) is written to the resulting files.

After the official OTA Android 12 upgrade all four camera modules on the back work fine in GCam (before the two Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensors did not work, the 0.5x and the 1.2x)

I'am not developer this port, just someone share this on telegram, and I just share it here because a lot of people don't know about this port

Tested on ArrowOS 12.1 and it doenst work sadly. Video crashes immediately. Photos can be taken, but hdr, lens correction etc doesnt work. Photos look like raw, full of noise.

You can try version 3.3.8, it's very old but still functional, some stuff is missing like video recording in telephone lens I think, but it has build in qr code detection which for some reason got removed in later versions, you open Google lens by long pressing the view finder

Can you also bundle it as an regular APK for non rooted users like the 3.3.8 version?
I would prefer not to be rooted since I use it as a daily driver with banking apps and so on.
Or is it save to manually copy the files into the system folders from recovery? This should mess the signing key?

@SebastianWijatyk Thanks for the upload but it didn't worked on my system. The android version requierment is to high. Any idea where I can find a relatively recent OOS camera app compatible with Android 11? I have a Lineage OS fork btw.

Just tried on pixelexperience plus 12 on my 7T pro, unfortunately got same issues that dankovac1999 got on arrowOs... you can though register a video holding the shutter button in photo mode, and it's really interesting how u can switch between the sensors while recording... such a shame the app doesn't fully work for me

Doesn't entirely work for me either one Paranoid Android 12.1.
HDR doesn't seem to be functional on either photo or nightscape mode, and trying to switch to video recording crashes immediately.

@SebastianWijatyk on which Telegram group could we find the person who developed this port ? Seems this is version 1.5, perhaps other higher version fixes the video mode and the other issues. KOSP is dead seems, thus does not worth moving to the ROM. Author is a guy calling himself "JohnsonRan".

I'm on Arrow 12.1 and some of the modes don't work, notably the main video mode.

Hi, is this still active? If so, could you please look into the bugs, for example video mode on lineage doesn't work.

On YAAP-12-scirocco-20220830 the app crashes when pressing the 'video' tab.
All other modes work.
(No 960fps slomo option )

Just Flashed on my One Plus 7 Pro (Derp) apart from Video everything else is working

Selfie Camera Working Fine ... Everything Working... But Bro .. Using Poco F3 / Mi 11X .. Back Camera Take Good Picture but When Open it .. It Gets Blurred.. Like Captured With 2Mp Or VGA Cam.. Is There any Fix ??

I agree with @dr3am_r I would also like to know who port this camera apps. I'm stuck on the old 3.x version of the app and even thought it kind of work the quality it seems really bad in comparison some photos I took on the original app on the original oxygen os rom.
I wonder how you can port the actual one for android 11. This is the only drawback that I have about using a custom rom.
Also it worries me to use an app where I don't even know who modify it.
