get rid of fingerprint animation - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

is it possible to get rid of fingerprint animation ?

No. Please use the search function as this has been asked previously.

Always good to see such a positive answer.
You can turn the guidance indicator for the fingerprint scanner off on Samsung’s S10 models so it’s not a daft question. I’d personally quite like to turn it off as it’s pretty annoying the way it lights up whenever you move your phone, and I know where to put my finger After a while so it’s not even that helpful.
I’ve been on these forums for well over a decade and it still annoys me when people tell other people to use the search function, as if that is necessarily always reliable, and as if their comment on using the search function didn’t take as much time as just giving and answer would. What happened to community spirit?

Can we stop this back and forth.
Please answer the OP if you can if not point the OP to right direction.
Thanks
SacredDeviL666.

Changing/turning off the animation is not possible on the device. Some smartphone manifacturers like Oppo allow you to change the amation style, this is not possible for us.

New Tilt with comments and couple of questions

Trying out the new Tilt with BlackBerry Connect. BBC is working great but when the security policy was loaded and the password enabled the password screen comes up with a dimmed backlite making it impossible to see in sunlight and nearly impossible to see in doors. Any one else have this problem found a way to fix?
The Tilt has built in GPS and I have gotten it to work with both Google Maps and MS Live Search. I have noticed that MS maps do not show some on and off ramps. Google seems to show them all but is much slower at updating the maps as they scroll. The problem is that when in map mode BBC times out and puts up the password screen. Is this an unfortunate feature of BBC and its security settings? Has anyone experienced and figured a way to fix?
I think the Tilt has all the features I was looking for in one device but it isn't quite perfect yet. I'm also converting from Verizon to AT&T and have found phone coverage to be spotty but in certain towns in my area, they are 3G enabled and Verizon does not have high speed network connectively in the same area.
I am trying to replace my BB 7130e phone and corporate email and HP rx5915 PDA for GPS and MP3 player. So far the Tilt is real close.
Thanks for any help.
jesus you are the epitome of new users in this forum that dont know how to read...LOOK AT THE TOP THING THAT WAS STICKED IN THIS FORUM: TILT QUESTIONS!!!! put your question in there!!!! (yeah I'm flaming, but with good reason)
Thanks for the answer, oh that’s right you didn't have one. Yes I could have put it there but no I thought I would put it in the main stream where I might get a quick response. I would have guessed from all the appendages attached to your message that you are the kind of person I was hoping may have some thoughts on the problems that I have been having. Looks are deceiving I guess. Excuse me for getting your panties in a bunch.

Everyones looking for a quick fix. Use the search button and take your time, my friend... we all did.
I almost guarantee that any question you have has already been asked and answered.
Thanks for the kinder more gentle response. I have been searching several forums and have yet to uncover any possible solutions. I will keep searching. Thanks.
Sorry, can't help with your problems, pretty knew myself. FYI though, go to the google search link on the homepage. It is waaaaaay better at searching than the standard search button. Honestly, if ppl could just say 'use search' or 'sorry look harder' instead of trying to humiliate....

Comm Mgr Customizing

Is there a way to customize comm manager (change from 6 button to 10 or change the buttons--replace data connection with 3G) other than using Advanced Config. I can do it through Advanced Config but wondered whether there was another way to do it on the fly that I am missing. Thx.
Did you try looking into the stickied thread at the top of the forum that has all the cab files??
There's a 10 buttom comm manager right there.
I know. I am looking for a utility that switches from the 10 to the 6 or changes the order of the buttons on the 10 or 6. Maybe I am not explaining it well enough ....
Why would you want to change between the two? The 10 button has it all, including disabling data connection and 3G?
Aesthetics. The 6 button on/off looks good with certain themes/roms. Not a huge issue. I guess not a big demand for it.
If you use Kaiser Tweak you can customize the Comm Manager (doesn't change from 6 to 10 buttons or vice versa) but you can re-order the buttons. Give it a shot.
Got it. Thanks.
... Is there anyone that found a way to make the 10-buttons CommManager "dpad-friendly" ?
It's so annoying : you can navigate the homepage of your PDA with the dpad, and then start the commmanager... and there : you're stuck !
Have to touch the screen to choose any of the items (wireless, data, bluetooth...)

Yeah, because it's SUCH a pain to point your finger at the screen and push.
Wow, it's amazing the things people complain about.
If I took your logic, I would ask why Kaiser has a hard-keyboard ? It's so easy for ppl to press the screen
...
I have the aluminum case, and the screen is behind a hardglass !
So you can give a try if you want... but I'd bet your won't even bend the glass.
You didn't say you had a hard case, did ya? I don't have one and I don't know anyone that does. Everyone I know uses the stylus on the screen, just like it's supposed to be used.
Just use AEB to assign a hardkey, I use the windoz logo key, double press toggles BT power, tripple toggles WiFi. You get the picture.
I'll give a try to AEB (my Win button is already reassigned, same for the camera button which triggers the CommMgr...)

Like I said, why would people buy a phone with real keyboard, as there's already onscreen keyboard... That's exactly same scenario.
My question was not about "how could I reeducate myself", but how to turn this smartphone into something even smarter...
Even the ComMgr on the HTC Tornado can be manager from the joystick... (running WM5)
So it's a shame if HTC did remove this so simple thing as focus-ordered buttons...

You bought it, didn't you? Why did you buy it? I'll tell you why - it's one thing to have an on screen keyboard, it's a totally different thing to have a real, tactile keyboard with real keys to give your fingers feedback. You're comparing apples and oranges. Your logic doesn't fly with me, sorry. You can't touch-type with an on screen keyboard (i.e. type by feel).

WOW. You have been nothing but a condescending prick in every one of you posts on this thread. Sorry you don't like the new kids on your block asking questions. If you don't want to contribute anything in an amicable manner, please, leave us to cry in the corner.

LOL. Thanks for the laugh. You made my night.
The OP had a question, and I answered it. If it's not what he was looking for, then he should learn how to phrase his questions in a better way.
I don't apologize for my wording. I am short and to the point.
Lastly, some people will complain about anything and everything. You can't help that or change that.
Ok fine, so you're apparently upset about people asking for tips & tricks... Then I assume your Kaiser was just perfect as-is right ?
(...so I guess you kept the stock ROM untouched, and didnt apply any of the great XDA-dev patches/fixes then)
Anyone with a more constructive feedback, like maybe importing the CommMgr of a different HTC pdaphone ?
I have the Tilt with the stock AT&T ROM. It does everything I need it to. I have, however, applied many of the tweaks and fixes available here. I ask very few questions and do LOTS of reading. I read almost every thread in this forum looking for little tweaks to make my phone even better than it already is.
I have no problems with people asking questions. That is what this forum is for. What bugs me is people who post the same question over and over without reading ANYTHING. (not that I was referring to you)
I was trying to be a little sarcastic with my first reply, but I guess you took it the wrong way.
So then, if you said I was posting without reading anything ...
Do you mean you were able to find a way ? (finaly we'll get something constructive)
I am not really new to XDA-dev, so I know how searching the place works...
Unfortunately, neither the 6buttons nor the 10buttons CommMgr is able to do (apparently) what I'm trying to get.
Hence the post...
Well I highly doubt that you will be able to switch between the 6 and 10 buttom comm mgr. They are both cab installs and require a SR after install.
What about RemE's suggestion? Did you try that? You could also remap the PTT button.
P.S. I wasn't referring to you when I said people don't read before posting.

Vibrating feedback on screen taps

Hi to the community, and great thanks to all the developers that help us polish our raw diamonds and make them shine ;-)
I love the phone, really the first usable device without keyboard that relies on dialling via virtual keyboard. Still have the Samsung Armani thing here waiting to go on Ebay...
What I would wish for (and couldn't find anywhere in a couple days of searching the web for it) is a tool that makes the device vibrate when you tap the screen, especially in number/letter entry situations, so that you have a tactile feedback on whether it has registered a keypress.
I would also love to be able to use the g sensor to flip the TouchFlo3D left and right...
If anybody else would like these two things added to the device, or if anyone knows if they already exist, please let me know.
take care
abel
Bump.
Anyone knows how to get vibrate feedback?
Greetings.
I'd like to see this actually, not for every screentap though just for using soft keyboard, it'd be nice to have a bit of feedback (it'd have to be near instant though for it to not annoy).
If only I knew how to go about writing a Windows Mobile app =']

[Request] vibrate for every touch swipe, and ect

Hello guys of the xposed world have you ever felt something was missing for you phone
Why it just didn't feel good as expected?
Personally I feel like it helps me . and as it stands if you swipe your phone there is no feedback.
Or say I tap within this post while writing it no feed back.
The module I am requesting is theoretically easy
As any touch of the screen either tapping or swiping will give you "feedback"
You could also work with the typing "dialogue" as you pull the writing line around it will give you feedback .
Thanks for reading this post and thank you devs for creating a better computer world
P.s. could someone find a way to get google to not take my gps. I don't like the fact they sell my info due to being forced to accepting the terms.

New ideas thread

I don't know if someone did this already but I have some great ideas for the phone to implement. Feel free to critique and add your I own, maybe they'll be implemented someday. Feel free to share anywhere as well (possibly OnePlus forums for more attention)
My 1st idea is programmable gestures:
Since we already have basic gestures how hard would it be to add more and make them programmable. For example, adding numbers 0-9 which could easily be drawn with one stroke could be used for speed dial. Something like 0 could be reserved for emergency services (I remember this from the power button thing in India but correct me if I'm wrong, this way they'll be able to use double press on power to launch camera and also have access for emergency dialing). And maybe the alphabet too but letters like A changed to a triangle since it's hard to write it with one stroke. Doing it over and over should make the system better at recognizing them and I feel like it will add a lot of convenience to the phone.
My 2nd idea is not really an idea but more of a change:
I don't know if you noticed but during video the focus seems to shift a lot and create weird effects during recording. I feel like that's something they should work on.
Anyway that's all from me for now. I feel like the phone has great hardware but if it had a little better software I think this could definitely keep on killing flagships in the future.
