Including reputable screen refurbish services, only glass replacement services and part sellers or sources.
There can be found several ways to separate only glass from screen.
Old style heating and cutting glue layer with wire/other tool.
Or freezing to very low temperatures (somewhat -150C) and can separate easily afterwards.
Would be nice to hear your experience in such subject.
Laser is also a possibility, check this out : https://youtu.be/Lj4Od9D4puc

Ahh yes Daniehabazin and the lasers
Although it can be used to cut out back glass or around the screen.
Just haven't seen successful screen glass separation using such method. It can be quite challenging.
Is there any repair guys in your knowledge who does already mentioned jobs in Stockholm?

Hi,
Has anyone done a 2.5D Glass only replacement on the Redmi note 4? I asked a repair shop and he said that the display and the glas come together and I will have to replace both. But then what is the point of this? They are selling just the front glass.
It's posibble, but it requires specific tools and a lot of experience! Nobody will do that! The work would cost more then a half of the phones price. It's better and easier to replace the both together. It's arround 20-25 Euro or 30$.

Because the phone cost like 150$, depends on version. Whoever will try to do that it will take much more than just a little heat. And he need to be very careful not to damage the display. So, that work costs. Not much, but when you compare to the price of the phone... You can do the math. And the display and touch together cost around 20$.
Hello, sorry I hijacked the thread, but it's a similar issue.
today is very bad for me. I broke the glass of the phone. Only 4 days, new phone...
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 , international model with SnapDragon.
What glass/ screen+glass I have to buy? For Note4 MTK or for Note4x ?
On the outside the phones are similar, but the internals are different. I don't know what to choose

The 4x is exactly the same at the global version that's why when you wanna buy a case you usually search for note 4x

I broke the glass of my rn4 after dropping it from waist level.. got just the glass replaced for 1000₹ whereas full display assembly was 3000₹.. the replaced glass is not 2.5d..
One adv is that now any tempered glass cn be applied
One disadv is that there latency in touch.. touch doesnt feel fluidic anymore.. but overall its working fine.. no major handicap..
Hope that is helpful.. cheers
The best option is to buy a new screen and replace it yourself.
Why? Because all the internals are installed on the screen, so it's impossible to change only the touch. I broke my redmi note 4 screen and replaced it myself. It's easy, just need to be patient. I got the replacement on Aliexpress and it was around 20 USD. For the tutorial, i followed this one:
Edit: I can't post links yet, so look for this video on youtube "How to Replace Your Redmi Note 4x/Redmi Note 4 Global Screen".
Btw, if you are going to buy the screen, buy a Note 4x one, because most of Note 4 screens on Aliexpress are for the MTK version.
Can you tell me please from which seller in aliexpress to buy a new screen? There are a lot of sellers, but according to some feedbacks the screen are not original and not the same quality,
Thanks
My oneplus3t fall from 3feet and touch and lcd got shatterd . I dont know what happended to gorrila glass 5 protection it completely failed to protect device.
If somebody has bought new lcd touch other than original kindly link it down. As its not worth to order original one for outdated device that costs wooping 9000 -11000 INR.
if any body has purchased, please link it down.
Thank you.

Gorilla Glass is break resistant, but not indestructible. Nothing is.
Could have been some combination of edge/corner impact (as it is much more likely to crack when a corner is impacted) and hitting a hard surface.

Unfortunately Amoled screens are not cheap, be aware of lcd screens on AliExpress - bad quality and much thicker.
Your 3t have gone on a good stage.
Already so many devices are available in the market at a cheaper price; like Poco F1 which has better hardware, dual camera, better battery and also developer friendly.
My suggestion is to change your phone.
I have my oneplus 3t which has completed 2 years, for which I have flashed plenty of ROMs and Kernels. I really enjoy my oneplus 3t but considering the new technology of full view screen, dual camera etc I am thinking to buy a new device after selling it online or offline.
I bought one from aliexpress. Not sure what the hell that would would be as Seller claims it to be AMOLED but i dont think it might be. I decided to sell it after changing LCD Touch.
I might buy refurbished 5t or poco. I have these two in consideration.
Suggestions?

It's Corning Gorilla Glass 4 actually, I dropped it couple of time but in every time it hits the edge of the sides so it got saved.
Hi all,
as the title says would you buy a p30pro today?
i live in canada and im looking for a phone to replace my s10 (i hate it) mostly because of the curved display. i'm forever opening settings or other apps from touching the edges while putting it in my pocket or lifting it up. even useing edge software does not help as now some app/game options cant be used as the edges are not active.
anyways i'm more asking about the us band and do you feel huawei long term (or current) use will be affected?

I have the P30 and wanted to swap it for an S10
S9 had the same problem with the curved screen, just buy a case (Spigen rugged armour) is nice and thin and fixes that problem entirely
Tnx for the tip.
I don't use cases. Just a skin in the back, I don't like bulky things in my pocket.
Guess I'm just picky.
Do you mention you want to trade or you already traded?

I would trade face to face but not online and unfortunately I'm in the UK too
Been with Samsung since the S5 and really made a huge mistake switching to Huawei, should have gone for the S10
Those Spigen cases are more like rubber skins tbh, they only add a couple mm to the thickness and have a slightly raised lip around the edge of the screen to make it impossible for it to land on the screen itself
the p30pro has a curved screen just like the s10..
i bought mine after the *ban* however the p30 line is not affected by it, emui 10 is coming soon and all in all its a great phone...
my only complaint is with the inscreen fingerprint scanner which seems to almost never work for me ( i dont use screen protector)
I sold my S10 plus and bought the p30 pro. Well I'm very happy. Especially p30 pro camera was much better than the s10 plus when I saw it and took few pictures to compare them... Even my brother with note 9 is thinking selling his for the mate 30 pro.
Wow curved screen. That sucks.
Now I have no clue what phone to get.

Hi all,
It looks like all the decent quality Mi9 screen protectors are disappearing.
... I cant find any for sale on eBay inside the country (Australia) anymore.
Are there any other phone models with comparable screen size?
I dont use the selfie camera much so dont really care if that got covered up.
Thanks

well, i dont know whats around Australia to sell but, if you dont mind to use screen protector that cover the front camera - they protect the camera, dont affect nothing, nor image quality of them - i recomend you to use screen protector for the Xiaomi K20/K20 Pro, its all square without the cut out for the waterdrop notch and will protect the front camera too. And they fit fine on top and bottom as well as sides...and look very good all around like when screen is off you even cant tell you have a waterdrop notch, looks like is all screen.
Thats what i am using since day one and im happy with it, dont need to be expensive protectors since a little crack will make you wanna replace the thing so i just use random cheap ones...i replace them every 3/4 months.
Perfect!! Thanks for taking the time to reply, exactly the type of answer i was looking for.
K20 protectors are readily available. Ordered
I'm using Mascheri tempered glass protector for Mi 9T on my Mi 9. Without the notch it looks so much better and the selfie cam doesn't suffer at all from the glass.
Cheers

What about the difrent models of Nillkin brand, did you check them out? As far as I know they ship to Australia from AE and you have plenty of them there. Have been using them for years on different phones. Have one installed on Mi 9 from August last year. The Nillkin amazing h+ Pro is my favourite, because of the durability, you can also find great full cover glasses (which I have at the moment, although I prefer h+ Pro) . The oleophobic cover, its scratch resistant properties and the full package overall is above all the competition in my opinion.
I used redmi note 8 one on mine
I got my phone yesterday and started noticing specially in white background a slight blue hue when tilting the phone or even by looking straight at it, I can see it at the top and bottom of the screen if looking straight.
My ocd is always kicking in and I can't unsee it.
I've tried different color modes but it's still there.
Am I the only one ? I searched a bit and it seems "normal" in amoled screens but how could it be normal, I've never had phones with amoled but always heard it's the superior screen but to me it's not looking good.
I'm happy with the phone as I couldn't stand anymore my old trusty honor 9 with it's old battery with 3h sot and frequently laggy and outdated software but I must say the honor 9 feels and looks premium where this feels meh. the plastic frame even has some very small dents from manufacturer.
The worst thing is I paid 340€ for the honor when it came out and this for 450€ should be equal or even better in everything.

Really ?
I was thinking of buying a glass protector for it but can't find any.
What I noticed is that the Neo 2 looks exactly the same as the GT 2, even the camera layout.
I'm tempted to buy the ibywind version, looks like the most complete with the frame aligment.

I've been looking on ebay and most listings for cases have Neo 2 / GT 2 in them. Screen size is the same and camera placement looks similiar. If it has GT 2 in the listing and doesn't fit then you should get a full refund at lesat as you can say item not as described

Do you have the same issue with the screen ?
I was going to buy the ibywind glass today as it looks it's the only one with the hole for the selfie cam so it should be the better one I guess. All the other chinese random name brands don't have it for some reason.
I also noticed some of them listing gt neo 2/gt 2 compatible.
But there's some people complaining about the fingerprint sensor not working properly after so I'm holding the buy for now. Hopefully in the upcoming weeks more products and reviews come out.
Looks like this GT series was a fail. Barely any videos, reviews, accessories. The lack of posts in this forum tells the same.
Realme should sell glass protection for their phones as they show a warning about using only approved realme screen protectors but where are they ?

I keep my phone on dark mode most of time and force dark mods where possible, I haven't noticed any issues but then I cannot see any issue with the pictures you posted either so maybe my eyesight is weaker.
I saw that but setting up fingerprint again after new protector should get rid of issues.
I myself am going to wait a little while and just use case + cover supplied until there is supplier based in my country so I don't have to import from china
