goes to sleep mode?

today i decided to drop some music on the phone.
the player im using is winvibe it plays but as soon as the screen goes to sleep
it stops the player from playing, this effect happens when i listen to streams from
shoutcast after 30 seconds its dead.
another really annoying situation with this phone is i have permanently disconnected
gprs using some software however though when the screen goes to sleep mode

PS..... today i bought another battery for the phone
On my P4000, (ex also has the diamond) I went to Windows Media Player, the actual app, then clicked on options, buttons.. toggle screen, and set it to enter (middle button). I left the play/pause unbinded since I can simply hit play/pause on screen. This has been around forever and should be the same for the diamond.

thanks ill give that a try.

an after thought.
it just seem like everything i want to do on this phone has a stumbling blocks all
too happy to be in the way or is this a windows thing.
has this always been the case for win mobile users where you had to suffer effects of
bad battery, intermittent freezes, unresponsive button due to cpu busy if so then ill
stop moaning and put this down to bad investment if not then ill continue to moan
till i get the hang of this expensive device that does not work as i think a quality
phone should operate.
thanks

[Problem Solved]: Music Stops When Screen Turns Off In TF3D Mode..How To Change it?

Please refer my post 14 for the solution / reason to keep music on
Freinds,
Whenever i play music in TF3d mode and when screen goes off automatically or if i press power off button (standby mode) then music turns off. This doesnt happen when headphones are connected. But without headphones it gets turned off. Please let me know any tweak so that i can play music through tf3d tab even when phone screen gets turnoff.

friends need a solution. Kindly help
Guys please help
Hi.
I have the same problem.
Please help...
/M
nobody to help?????????????????
i dont know if you understand what sleep mode is but when the screen turns off its in sleep mode and it turns off wifi bluetooth the screen and pauses some processes that may incude the tf3d music player. if it bugs u so much set your power options in settings so tat the phone turns off at a later time then what it is currently set to that way u can play your music longer. note that your battery will drain faster as the phone is still on even thought he screen is off

Well i am aware of the sleep mode. Also changing the time in power option doesnt solve the purpose. I have also dechecked the option "turn off device if not used in X min" .
Still waiting a solution to this
i personlly gave it a try and my music continued to play after the screen turned off, ti even played the next song. It may possibly be a bug in your rom or it could be tf3d all together. Im using tf3d2 on the Gen Y D2 rom. If it really bugs u i suggest you give the rom a try,
AFAIK its not a bug, but rather a feature of WinMo.
Sleep means what: You are not going to use your device (apart from... recieving a call or an sms). So that includes playing music.
But if you connect the headphone, its different scenario, WM assumes that you just want to play music (since the headphone is connected). So it allows playback of Audio.
But to be doubly sure, goto HKLM-Software-HTC-AudioManager and search for the key enter_suspend, it should be 0 (zero)
One solution i've found... Start the music from TF3D, and then lock the screen. After that, in few seconds the display will turn off (depends of your settings)and music will play. Works for me

Well tried this also, it plays till the time backlight gets fade away but as soon as it gets completely off music stops. I think this is ridiculous feature of WinMO coz if i want to listen music in Tf3d mode with screen off i cant listen it. Too bad
do you really listen to music through the crappy tiny diamond speaker?
Try this with your preferred registry editor, change the value of hklm\system\state\hardware\headset
from 0 to 1 and see if it works
this works because I just tried on my diamond, play the music via windows media, assign a button in the options to switch off the screen and just push that button while playing.
Well i found the solution. Well rather reason why it music used to stop. I had installed older version of S2U2 which was locking the Tochflo3d. But now i have latest version i.e. 2.04 which has an option not to lock touchflo3d and also dont turn off the phone if screen goes blank. I have selected this option and now music remains on.
Anyways thanks a lot everybody to help me.

Turned both of these functions on (Don't lock TouchFlo3D, etc.)...still get my sound turned off if I hit power when playing through the phone's speaker. Most annoying issue...still no solution....

During game, touchscreen suddenly becomes wonky, nav stops working

Does anybody else encounter this problem:
While I've been playing emulator games or reading comic books in ComicRack, the touchscreen stops responding with full functionality and the navbar stops working.
For example: I'm reading a comic. Suddenly when I go to swipe, the image will enlarge or reduce. I cannot swipe to the next page. When I try to hit back on the navbar, nothing happens.
When I turn the screen off, then turn it back on, ALL IS WORKING AGAIN NORMALLY.
This cycle happens often.
Any tips? :cyclops::cyclops:

Screen timeout

Hi guys,
I've been trying to find a solution to this issue for a while now and it's driving me crazy. I love my ROG II but my only complaint is that the screen timeout is SUPER short. Its like 10 seconds and then my screen goes dark. I have to constantly be touching my screen so it doesn't go to sleep while I'm watching a video or reading an article. Even when I'm trying to show someone a photo or anything on my screen they always say "Oh, it turned off". So annoying! I went through all the settings but can't find anything! Please tell me I'm missing it and that there is actually a solution to this! Thank you so much!
You should be able to change the time out in settings > display > sleep
It's currently set to 10 mins. Still goes to sleep after about 10 seconds of inactivity. ??

Question Bugs

I'd like to share some insights I got after initial two days of use. I am on the latest software WW_30.11.51.44.
Issues I came across:
- I am observing random color shifts - it looks like the screen gets more warm tone during normal phone use. Happened a few times during different activities.
- some apps do not launch - TurboScan (blank screen and crash), The Elder Scrolls Legends (gets stuck around 15% of initial loading)
Hi, I have the same issue with screen/display. I also observed little warm tint of white in my zenfone 8 than other devices. So i reduce this by app from store.
Im posting this here since its about bugs. Hope thats fine.
Got the phone earlier this week. Happy so far, but one thing is pretty annoying. A notification sound is playing repeatedly when im casting with Chromecast, and the same sound is playing when im watching something or listening to music through an app.
Does someone know have to fix this?
I'm on this device for 3 days and I've noticed that: device is running hot, fingerprint reader is inconsistent, if connected to charger and battery full then device gets really hot, screen brightness doesn't go to the max outdoors in straight sunlight instead the device gets hot, if i look at the device in a weird angle it gets hot, a couple of random reboots after todays software update, battery is draining too fast so i have too put in durable mode with 60hz screen refresh rate and its still draining too fast, device gets hot when using camera, dark mode is not working automatically i had to set timer, no shortcut for flashlight in lock screen! double tap to lock screen stoped working after disabling face unlock so after reboot it worked, volume control setting don't always stick when merging , im sure that there are more bugs to discover because im not a power user, no games no social media. to sum it up, asus better get their act together, too many bugs for new device that just got launched.

Exchange the device. I have the phone over a week and didn't had any issues from that list.
Does someone know if its possible to reduce the strenght on the fingerscanner light?
