Hello, so i'm very new and my english is very bad. I'm having trouble to know how to install magisk on my samsung tab e sm t560. I don't know it's extremly complicated and I don't get it. I mean, in the installation process there is written that twrp is needed. So if I go to that post, there is written that root is needed. But how to I root? Isn't Magisk a root? And there isn't a TWRP for my device. I hope you can help me. I've searched for some hours and I've found absolutly nothing.
Thanks

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong location, I'm quite new here.
I recently purchased a Tab S2 and decided I wanted to root it. I followed all the instructions listed in this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/development/twrp-3-0-2-1-galaxy-tab-s22016-sm-t713-t3390627, and was able to successfully root it. I figured since that went so smoothly to try and install the Xposed framework for 6.0, and that's where the problem began. I'm not sure if I missed a critical step, but after booting to TWRP and installing the Xposed Framework I'm now stuck at the Samsung logo and unsure of what to do to get back on track. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You installed the wrong Xposed. If you didn't make a backup with TWRP, TUT TUT!
You will need to reflash the stock firmware.
I admit I didn't make a backup, I was excited and got ahead of myself, but there's nothing on the device that I wasn't willing to lose. As for the Framework, I installed http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk23/arm64/xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64.zip which I got to from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811. I saw the notice on the Xposed site that points to that thread, so I thought I was doing the correct steps. Which framework version should I have used?

Ive been on here for about 4 hours and to no avail, I cant find the answer to my question. I have a Verizon HTC 10 rooted with SuperSU and TWRP. Im still on version 6.0.1 (MM) with the software 1.85.605.8. My question is, can I go about unrooting SuperSU without losing anything ( data, apps etc) and installing Magisk in its place?
I want to know what Im at risk of losing before I do a full unroot of SuperSU.
In the same boat
I did my first root yesterday on a Nexus 7 with Nexus Root Toolkit v2.1.9 which apparently uses Chainfire SuperSU. Now I find I really needed Magisk to deal with the app issues. I've seen a couple tutorials about switching but not clear if I will have to lose everything and start from scratch. Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated
This sounds like it really should be in the Magisk forums... There's info there (check the stickies).
Hi guyzz i need help to gain root in k50a40 hindi version. I have install first the row 121 and i was root with kingo app. After updates to mm i had lost my root and after that no rooting sucess. Has anyone has success in installing this on Android 5.0 samsung S4 ? I followed the instructions and the manager just says not installed.
Unless you provide more details and installation logs it's gonna be hard to help...

What details would you like to know? I flash it and then later restart but the manager was not there so I tried to install it from saving the apk file that I downloaded. But it just said it was not installed and later I found out I lost root from trying to flash Xposed on my phone.
I am very new to this and tried to follow the tutorials and videos but its not working cause I thought using Magisk I can install the seamless Xposed.
Those recovery/installation logs would be a good start.
You're muddling up the details a bit...
Was the Manager not installed or did it report that Magisk wasn't installed? And you lost root? But you said you couldn't install Magisk... Are you already rooted? That might cause issues.
Being nice and clear and detailed (what is being flashed, version numbers, what's already done, what works, what doesn't work, with logs, etc) in your descriptions would help.

I hope this is clearly for you!
1. I flash the file with TWRP with success
2. The phone got stuck on samsung logo
3. Root was removed.
4.I had to re flash stock and it is working again.
5. How do I get the logs of Magisk if my phone keeps looping?
I wanted to use Magisk to see if Xposed would work but it looks like i can't even get Magisk to work on my samsung i9500 with original rom. This same thing happens with Xposed where everything goes smoothly with flashing it in recovery and then a boot loop on the logo. Others on this forum have been complaining about this too and perhaps the developer might have not considered odexed rom like samsung for these wonderful apps to work?
I am going back to Kitkat where i don't have these issues and I can use Xposed.
Hi. I've looked for a basic guide without success. I have flashed LineageOS on my phone and none of my banking apps work now. Is this something Magisk can fix and how do I do it please? I've got Magisk manager installed but nothing else yet. Is there a noob guide anywhere please?
