I was just looking to put in an order this morning. I got an estimated delivery time of 5 days, then when I put it in my cart, I got a delayed to October 9 (10 days out). Even internally their shipping software can't figure out when things will ship.
I ordered a 32gb Pure Edition with a black front on Sept. 18 and was given an estimated shipping date of October 13.
Assuming preordering counts, I ordered a Moto Maker Moto x on September 19th, and got it on September 25th, one day before the predicted ship date. I think it was because I ordered the 16 gb version though.
I ordered the Vzw Moto X on Friday morning, the 26th. Looks like it will be delivered tomorrow, the 30th...:good:

Looks like the timing is highly variable. I expect they produce these in batches. So one day they might do VZW, then the next AT&T, because they have to switch internal boards. Also, they probably assemble a batch of leather, then a batch of soft touch etc.
On top of this, when you read all the different shipping threads, it appears they are experiencing various shortages - white fronts, bamboo backs, and the Pure edition internals all appear to be backordered, although there are reports of expected deliveries for some of those parts anticipated this week. Because of the backorders, I expect they are changing their batch production schedule, so even though the system might have anticipated a certain schedule, that schedule appears to be in flux, thus leading to a large discrepancy in production times.
For what its worth, I ordered a Verizon Cognac leather 32gb on Friday morning (1am) (9/26) and it should be here today, 9/30 When I ordered, it said 6 days. When it "entered production", it said Oct 1, so it appears it will be here a day early. And it even sat Sunday and Monday the Fedex station, because it was scheduled for a 2 day delivery, and no, they wouldn't let me pick it up early It actually "arrived" at the local facility 20 min before the stock Verizon bamboo version that I ordered through VZW on Friday at 1am. But the VZW one was delivered yesterday, because it was "1 day"
Thanks for all of the info guys! I went ahead and placed my order - Verizon 16GB version, with black front. They quoted 6 days, delivering Oct, 6th. Seems pretty good. Looked like if I had ordered the 32GB version it would have been 10 additional days right now. And white front is also a longer wait.
We'll see if their estimate is correct and mine arrives on the 6th!
I ordered the 32Gb At&t Moto X via Moto Maker on Sept 27th, and though motorola's website said it was backordered until October 12th, I received a call from Motorola telling me they are currently assembling my phone, and the phone arrived at my doorstep today, September 30th.
Ordered mine on the 26th got it today 32 gb verizon

Looks like Motorola beat their own prediction. While Motorola's site still shows that it hasn't shipped, I just got a shipping notification from FedEx that my phone will be here the 2nd instead of the 8th. Awesome, just in time for my birthday on Friday.

I ordered my Verizon phone on Sept 26 w/Motomaker. The original email from Motorola gave a delivery date of Oct 2. The 'your order has shipped' email said Oct 1 but I received it on Sept 30. Not too shabby!

i ordered mine on 9/5. it says it wont ship til october 1st. if thats the case, im just gonna run to best buy on sept 15 and see if they have any unlocked versions in stock and pick it up there. then ill submit it for the sd card and charger through samsung and cancel my preorder from samsung

Preordered black Unlocked N8 Sep1st and nothing. I just got the money back in my account Samsung withdrew Sep1st so idk what the heck that means. Only reason I did direct Samsung order was for the N7 owner promo. Samsung should have prioritized their direct orders instead of carriers. Whatever if I get my N8 In October I'm going to complain. There is absolutely no reason it should take 1 whole month for preorders to be delivered. Either they prepare for product release or they don't. Come on. Not even a status notification.
I pre order Unlocked version on 8/29 with note 7 promo and ship date said week of sept. 25. Only the Wireless Charger was shipped today. The rest still in pre order.

How is it even possible to pre-order something and not get it at release date? It makes no sense to me and should not be allowed. They should have had it sell out to increase demand rather having people wait almost a month after the phone was released and it is still considered a pre-order. Grinds my gears for those unfortunate ppl who are going through this...

this is ****ing crap. I ordered 8/29 black sprint model so I don't get stuck waiting like all those who ordered carrier unlocked, and here I sit with my order still in ****ing preorder. wtf is the point? I paid in full, no note 7 deal (couldn't find a receipt will take donations) black sprint model and 0 ****ing progress. not confirmed, not shipped, pre auth charge has disappeared, called Samsung twice and all the can tell me is the date on the website. well 3 days left and it hasn't been confirmed. you can bet your ass Sammy will hear from me the second it's technically "late"

From what I have heard/read, they will start shipping on the 25th, allowing for a 10 day pre order window. But that's all conjecture. I kind of hope it's true, depending on the latest price assumption, I may need that extra paycheck to get it. Definitely going for the orange XL/128GB one. According to rumors and conjecture, the orange will only be available during pre order.
The last two years the pixel 2's and 3's shipped around October 17th/18th. The former, the announcement was on the 3rd, the latter on the 9th. Since I doubt they'll ship the same week, definitely going with the 23rd/24th or so this time. I'm betting the orange will probably be the higher demand colors, so, those may end up into November, maybe well into. I'm grabbing a white and black, hopefully the whites go out the same time as the others like last year.
Google usually begins to ship newly released phones on Friday, going all the way back to the Nexus days. Not written in stone of course but since Goog themselves said the upcoming OP phone will be the first to ship with 10 and that comes out on the 18th most are figuring it will the next Friday; the 25th. Latest rumor on pricing by the way comes from Droidlife who said today that they were told by a "reliable source" that Google is holding the line across the board on pricing. That would take us full circle back to the first rumor which made a hold the line claim. In theory we're hours from knowing on both counts. Pre-order has usually opened up immediately so that should be hot tomorrow morning. I'm 128XL orange. Don't love the orange but it's different and I like different.

The orange is nice, but I think in the long run the white one will be my fav. So I'll get that one.
B&H photo is now showing a pre-order with pricing that matches last years 3/3XL and includes a 100 dollar gif certificate with shipping beginning on Tuesday the 22nd. A European outfit is showing the phones at slightly less than least years phone, forget their name. Looking positive for the pricing.

I did the trade-in too. Disappointing with the value (It was $168 a month ago) but they just don't have the resale value of Apple which get up to $400. I figured it was more convenient than Swappa or eBay which will probably get saturated with Pixel 2 XL phones.

Been looking for a few days for a decent contract offer and ended up ordering from CPW, S21 Ultra 256gb £43/month 100gb data with the usual buds pro and smart tag offer, S10 trade in to cover upfront payment (most of it)
Any upgrade offers from Voda were garbage in comparison to the new contract deal so will be doing the PAC shuffle in a couple of months to get my years old Voda number on to my new Voda contract.
Samsung direct with student discount and trade in old phone, I can get Ultra 256 for £790. Just hovering over the "purchase" button.
Samsung UK Direct and they force you to pick a delivery slot via DPD on the 29th Jan. Interestingly though Three UK show delivery as 26th Jan and indicators from people in the US are that people have tracking info already and are expecting delivery 26/27th Jan. Will be super miffed if Samsung Direct ship after Three UK!

Yeah it says BY the 29th on Samsung, but then proceeds to make you chose the 29th as your actual delivery date with DPD. So even if it is available on the 26th, my delivery slot is the 29th.... maybe I'm missing something!

Nah, DPD are good at not losing things thankfully. They're about the only courier I trust as they've never let me down.

Same here, bought on the 16th. I opted for the 256gb Ultra model.

Staying with unlimited data ect for £79 a month (first 6 half price) Contract wasn't up for renewal till April but they only charged £90 for the early cancellation so see that as a result. Currently a £170 extra trade in deal right now too so, selling the buds on top not bad to say the least.
Read people are having Klarna/finance declined so saves that hassle of going through Samsung direct.
They told me it would arrive by Tuesday at the latest.

Worth checking the non-student price - you get a better trade in value (£350 Vs £210 for an S10+) so it was actually slightly cheaper for me

Yeah, I checked. They gave me a better price for the 8pro but it was still £10 more expensive. Maybe there's a bottom limit they'll sell it for.

Silver 512Gb from Amazon, delivery stated as due on the 30th. Had over £900 in Amazon vouchers, or would have gone direct from Samsung for huge trade-in on aging but serviceable 256Gb S9+. Instead that's probably going on eBay, with loads of extras.

Yes, I noticed that 2 colors (black and white) and 128GB models were immediate, and others had some sort of delay.

yeah i initially went with a black unlocked 512 and it was expected by feb 9th but switched to a black unlocked 256 and says will be here by jan 29th
My order status went to in process and I can not cancel it anymore. The date is still the 29th though.

On Thailand Samsung page, it shows that special color will took 4-5 extra weeks as well. So, I guess your date is about right.
My S21 Ultra in black 512 ordered unlocked at Samsung also went to "in process" but the delivery date hasn't changed from 1-29.
I ordered from Samsung.com and ordered the unlocked S21 ultra 512gb black and still shows delivery for 29th.
I pre-ordered on Jan19 when the At&t 256gb S21 ultra black went available on samsung,com, its on backorder now and my estimated delivery date is Feb 23. Will ship week of Feb.19.
I ordered the day after per-orders open and my cancel button is gone in my order page on samsung.com, and now just says processing, I went and checked my FedEx delivery manager and there is label created today and looks like delivery date is the 27th, but website says 29th delivery, so will see monday if it gets picked up, if it does....then it should be delivered wed the 27th, I ordered the s21 ultra 512gb black with the galaxy active 2 44mm watch.

My 128GB black was picked up this morning and should be delivered on the 27th.
My 256GB black S21U was also picked up this morning according to FedEx, with delivery due the 27th. But strangely order status on Samsung's site just says "in process", so I don't know if the accessories are in the same package.
