So I have a redmi 4a and recently I decided to replace my original screen to some new one,
Ok that's pretty normal but what isn't normal is that when I started using my phone touch was really lagi
I was thinking that I have broken screen but the so mysterious thing about this story is that isuue has now almost completely gone. But the weirder thing is when I restart my phone every animation is smooooth 60fps, but when I lock and unlock it becomes normal 15-30fps. Personally I think that is some xiaomi crap that doesn't load just after restart.
I would be very happy to hear what miui devs have to say. Miui is my favorite Android skin but that's rElLy weird. (Miui 10.2, 16gb)
My mi 9 seems to be able to only detect 1 finger. Completely wiped phone and problem still persist. Anyone with same issue or able to fix issue?
I have the same problem. Have you found any solution?

I have that same problem. Could you help
Happened the same issue to my Mi9. Multi touch was working normally but suddenly it stopped working while I was zooming on a web page. Then I made a factory reset but still didn't work. Today I updated to Miui 12 hopping the problem would be solved but still no success. I think this bug is related to Android 10 as I saw elsewhere someone rolled back to Miui 10/Android 9 and things got to normal. On the other hand this is not a hardware failure for sure since multi touch keeps working normally on apps running in game turbo mode.
So, has anyone found how to kill this annoying bug?
Thanks for any help.
ive been searching everywhere how to fix this. i already email xiaomi about this issue. still didnt find clue how to fix this bug. still hoping that xiaomi will fix this issue.
This issue is a shame for Xiaomi!
As far as I know the only solution is to downgrade to Miui10 and stuck on this version or take the risk to upgrade to Miui11 (not recommended for obvious reasons) or the fresh new Miui12. So far I've been using the "turbo game" thing to workaround the bug. I had to install some alternative apps from Google Play (such as Chrome Beta, other gallery app, Google Maps Go...) to use instead of the stock apps so I can use them with "turbo" and get pinch to zoom working. This is not the best way to solve the issue -- the ideal is to get multi touch back working again without the need to resort to any tricks -- however it works very well. Maybe one of these days I'll get some patience to setup the good old Miui10 again...
i also have this ghost touch on the upper part of the screen. it came same time as the multi touch issue. it cant even fix by game turbo. i cant even play games normally like moba or fps game. i dont know if its just me have this ghost touch issue. its a big shame for xiaomi flagship phone?
No news about this issue? Everything works fine with Pixel Experience in my MI9 but multitouch. I remmember I solved another problem (auto-rotate didn't work for the display) and I solved it flashing only last version of "persist.img".
Same here bro!
I bought my Mi 9 in February and everything worked well. I also upgraded to MIUI 12 with no problems at all, then suddenly multitouch stopped working.
If I flash Pixel Experience will the problem be solved?

No way, Installing PE doesn't solve the problem.
I'm going to try it with new kernels and FWs.

Try to flash MIUI 10... I read somewhere it should work, because MIUI 10 is built on Android 9, which doesn't have this issue
same i have this issue, i tried miflash. the only workaround are miui 10 and game turbo method.
also i have this nonresponsive part of the upper screen, right where most game analog button placed. idk if this "dead touch" is connected to this multitouch issue
This was the first and probably the last Xiomi I bought. Back to iOS. Bought a second hand iPhone 11 in mint condition. Working rock solid! Crap Mi9!!!

Have the same problem here!!!
Upper screen DEAD
Annoying ghost touch on upper screen
Have to type multiple times because It keeps ghost touching...
Can't sell the phone, because of these issues...
Miss my Galaxy note
Is there a fix to this issue now? GameTurbo enhances the touch so that multitouch works. There must be a fix to this.
Hi,
I bought my Redmi K20 Pro in February, and today(30/Jul/2020) i noticed that my phone is ready for OTA update to miui12 (from miui11). I downloaded the build and did what was asked on display. But now my phone just displays MIUI (in color) on the screen and is just stuck there for more than 3 hours now. Any way i can know whats happening and how can i fix this? I understand it takes sometime to update the phone but not this much time. I come from iOS where updates were finished in less than a hour, so this is a bit annoying to me
Please can someone help me with this??
Thanks,
Ravi.
It took a while for me as well, but I don't remember it getting stuck for 3 hrs. It was probably about 45-50 mins max, which is still longer than most updates have taken ever. Maybe someone else can chip in and tell you what the exact issue is.

Let me know what you've tried to resolve this MIUI animation issue because when I installed the MIUI 12 from then my phone displays MIUI animation and then again ask for fingerprint password.
I contacted the Customer Support over chat. They suggested format however, I have more than 100GB of invaluable memories which I don't want to loose. Please help.
I've bought a NEW Redmi 9 phone. The front camera isn't working. Whenever I select the front camera, the camera app just freezes. I'm on Miui 11. I'm in Portugal and the phone was bought here.
Please, can someone help me?
Also, when I tried to run Instagram, camera wasn't available even if Instagram is in the allowed apps!

You know that shouldn't happen to your Redmi 9. I have never had such an issue in my Redmi 9 since I bought it last summer. You should go where you bought it and tell them about the problem.
I thinkyou should change it , if you have the garantee , don't think it's a problem of the version of MUI

Hello,
For some time now I have the problem that the camera app starts very slowly.
If it was not loaded before, it takes up to 8 seconds to start.
I no longer have a custom rom on it. It is Stock Miui Global 12.0.2.
I had tried several other roms in the past, but went back to Miui.
I don't have any other camera app installed either.
Other apps that access the camera, such as Google Lens, also take forever before the camera is active.
For me, one of the reasons for buying th Mi 8 back then was the good camera, but since it's so slow, it's just annoying.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?
Greetings
Patrick
