I have a v405QA running LineageOS 16, but I can't find a camera app that doesn't 1) ignore the multiple cameras or 2) leave an unbelievable amount of static on photos. I tried installing multiple versions of the stock camera, but they all crash immediately. Do I need the camera to be ported to work on Lineage? If so, has anyone had any luck finding a camera app that works? Thanks!

Stock camera won't ever work on AOSP....you need Google Camera join the Telegram group and you'll be helped there, I would post a link but the mods delete anything pointing to Telegram ?, I'm not saying you won't find the app on XDA I'm just saying on the V40 forum it will take a few testers to make sure everything is 100% before we publish on here.....

We can use our stock camera app in custom roms like LineageOS, AICP, DU.I only tested on DU but I think it should also work on other roms.
How to install it:
Flash it with TWRP and reboot to system.

For me Open camera is slower than stock taking photos. I don't know why. Why are you saying open is better? Thx!

Found it that the Brazilian apk "hypercam" is just the xtreme gcam with custom xml but as some bug, best gcam I tried is on Pie, the xcam6_beta10.
Just look for the telegram group on Celsoazevedo gcam site Learn to use xml, it's easy, you can use different ones on a switch. Astrophotography can be enable, all works nice and support the 3 lens, eis video don't work.

I tried so many ways to install GCAM on my Samsung galaxy A30. I tried so many apks as well. also followed the XDA discussions but no luck. And i search you tube also but some app get crashed and some are not working fine.
So i hope to get support for this on you. Actually i want to install GCAM on my Samsung A30. I bought this phone last week and I'm afraid to flash TWRP because of warranty issue. Can some one please help me with this by providing any guide lines for suitable working apk for my A30 device.

Doesn't matter if it installs, HDR+ doesn't work. So, the whole port is pointless. Need someone to tell me how to unlock the bootloader and enable the Camera 2 API Level 3. I still doubt the A30's processor can handle the processing required for the GCam's HDR+ shots.

I don't know about this Mi 9 Lite version, but on Whyred it offered frequency control, overclocked CPU cores, and higher overall performance. I don't understand Russian so I have no clue what that one offers

I translated the page and it says for Android 10, so that depends on which version of MIUI11 you are running.
Also the OP for the kernel on the Russian forums said it would be coming to XDA soon, so just be wary that it might be unstable at this point.

it worked on Pixel Experience Android 10, so I assume all others should as well since they're all the same aside from small details, I'm almost positive the kernel made the stock camera actually good, it was **** before

I see no difference with the camera and its not turning off but it removed all magisk mods so I'll have to install it again.
Level_3 api still locked btw :c
In what did you feel the difference on camera?
Also fingerprint is not working now so I'll deleate it

They didn't figure out how to make any gcam full working on cc9/mi9 lite
They have the same problem as me. A "processing hdr+" notification gets stucked.

You don't need level 3 api for working gcam, realme 5 pro have working gcams 7.0 even 7.2 and that device is also level 3 locked.
