Hi, I'm on stock global EEA and i have the app Facebook Services that consumes too much battery. I would like to know if it was possible to disable or uninstall this app as I don't use facebook.
Yes if you root your phone. Otherwise I think it's not possible.

I have read that it can be disabled with adb and with some tools. But I also read that it could cause system problems

It's possible and no issues what's so ever with overal system stability!
Over adb shell as You have mentioned in Your post.
Only issue is that You lose some Facebook functionality which depends on facebook services app.
I have disabled all Facebook apps that you can't uninstall. Facebook Services, Facebook App Installer and Facebook App Manager. Just head on to Settings, Installed apps and point to the three points-menu top right and select Show all. Find all Facebook apps and disable them at the bottom left.
Good riddance!!
No problems what so ever and I’m still using Messenger.
No root needed.
I disabled all facebook apps through Xiaomi Adb / fastboot tools and had no problems. Thank you all

Hello everyone!
After bricking my first XZ after only one week I decided that I'll wait a while till I decide to root my second one hehe
I've noticed that there is a HUGE amount of bloat, so I started to disable a lot of them (the ones that I could ), but I'm getting a little stuck with some of them cos I don't know which one is safe to disable..
Is there a list with the system apps that are safe to disable in stock 4.4.4 no root?
I've searched for it but no luck
Sorry if this is in a wrong section..
Just another question: is it possible to downgrade from 4.4.4 with PC Companion or another official way ? Not a procedure that may brick my phone or loose the warranty?
Thanks!

Flash a custom rom because mostly they have no bloatware because it is removed !
Thank you, but as I've mentioned above, I do not want to root the phone..

I think the system itself know which safe and which not because some of the "not safe to remove" has a grayed out disable button.
TapaTalked from my Xperia™ Z (C660²) running Dirty Unicorns ROM!
I know about that. There are some apps that have the disable option available, but don't know for sure if they are safe or not to. Here are a few examples:
- android.res.overlay
- basic sleep mode apps
- camera extension
- com.android.browser.res.overlay
- com.android.providers.partner... etc.
Sent from my C6603 using ??
android.res.overlay
anything that is android.blah.blah or android.framework.blah
framework.blah.blah @framework.blah.bla
usualy arent safe
These are the apps that have the "Disable" option, but I haven't disabled.
android.res.overlay
basic sleep mode apps
camera extension
com.android.smspush
com.sonyericsson.capabilities.res.overlay
com.sonyericsson.dtcpctrl
com.sonyerricsson.r2r.client. res.overlay
ConfigUpdater
DrmDialogs
Google Account Manager
Google Backup Transport
Google Partner Setup
Google Play Services
Google Play Store
Google Services Framework
MusixFX
Phone Contact
R2R Client
Tools ?
What is the Tools app used for?
NOT SAFE
android.res.overlay
basic sleep mode apps
camera extension
com.android.smspush
com.sonyericsson.capabilities.res.overlay
com.sonyericsson.dtcpctrl
com.sonyerricsson.r2r.client. res.overlay
ConfigUpdater
DrmDialogs
SAFE BUT THEY ARE GOOGLE SERVICED
Google Account Manager
Google Backup Transport
Google Partner Setup
Google Play Services
Google Play Store
Google Services Framework
NOT SAFE
MusixFX
Phone Contact
R2R Client
Tools ?
Tools is testing tools aka for dev stuff, and some core android stuff weirdly
Its probably just going to break the settings app if you disable, or even bootloop
Hello,
I just bought a mi5 today and I can't log into snapchat. Whenever I type my username and password it says that the login temporarily failed. I have my Google account set up and synced. I also don't have root.
Have you guys had any problems like that? Or any idea I can try?
Thanks!
Yes, I have fix this issue by change the permission from google application.
Cannot post screen (New user restriction...)
Could you be more specific? I think I granted all the permissions to Google Apps...
LE: I downloaded more apps from Google and made sure that every one of them has all permissions. Thank you!

Did you make sure the Mi App Store doesn't have access to data of any type? Cause if it does it will "update" your apps.

If it doesn't work, consider flashing the global rom.
You don't have xposed installed do you? Also why bother posting a thread without a logcat. Without the proper testing done your issue would be due to it just being a piece of junk.
can anyone help solving the snapchat issue.. it says tempory failed but thats coming ever since i got the phone.

I said I had no root. Also, if you read the answers, I solved my issue so I think it was worth bothering.
having xiaomi eu rom, there's no setting for google manger or google service framework on app permission, can't login

Snapchat is now looking for both root and xposed and refuses to work if either is installed.
Working with root, had to uninstall xposed framework and it worked. Will try to install framework again and see if its still works. Will try to install rootcloak.
Edit: Snapchat working now after first logging in then install xposed framework latest update and then reboot, still works as promised.
Hi all, as there are plenty of driver problems for building roms, is there some way to replace apps and settings in stock rom to the ones in lineageos or aosp? Basically a script to remove currently apps ,and download and install apps. So tired of EMUI. I just want a working stock android or lineageos, and I don't care if it is built from source. Thanks!
I'm always rooting my phone, uninstalling apps and install some custom ones .... sms, browser, theme, etc. (yes, uninstalling sms program, browser, and uninstalling THEME app, and what you want, but you need root)
So its possible to replace a stock settings app?
Wysłane z mojego CHM-U01 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Yes, even on old builds! I uninstalled them with AMC Security (antivirus too) and with something called Premium Uninstaller, idk
And what Settings app would you use? That doesn't work.

Hello, was anyone able to make Whatsapp work on Mate 40 Pro global ? I tried to install it but it keeps saying that "Google Services" are needed, then a circle keeps turning and I can't do anything....
Edit : Sorry, the reason for the issue is that I installed MicroG, once I uninstalled it, everything worked fine.

Thank you ! Another question, I want to transfer my WhatsApp chats over from my Asus rog Phone 3 to the mate 40 pro, how can I do this seeing as I don't have google drive backup on the mate 40 pro? Normally I back up to goggle drive and download the WhatsApp chats from google drive , but the mate 40 doesn't have google.. so how can I download or move my WhatsApp chats backup over to the Huawei so I don't lose all my chats ?
Hi, just make a backup on the old device, on the new Huawei copy the entire WhatsApp directory to the internal memory. Install WhatsApp in Huawei, enter the number, dta restore that backup and you're done.

I'm pretty sure if you search on YouTube there are a few options already? Some seem a bit drastic like downgrading the software, but I think you can then update, and one was like an emulator type solution, but I'm sure they're out there now.
We currently have no viable options for installing Google services on this phone.
With VMOS some applications are installed, but it is not a real option to use; banking applications don't even work with VMOS ...
I have to uninstall the update to solve the FC issues on my mi9t pro. Anyone else has this issue?

"Google latest update" - which app, maybe Google app or what?
Go to Settings, Apps, find that app and either Uninstall (if possible) or Uninstall updates
You can go to www.apkmirror.com, search for the same app and find, download and install an older version (they have history with all previous versions)
By the way, what is the problem, are you maybe on some custom ROM, etc

Sorry. Forgot to mention it's the Google app itself. Anyway, just noticed it's affecting many users not just me according to the reviews from the play store
