Hi guys,
i'm currently on Miui 11 but I had tested a couple of AOSP roms before but every time the same "issue" happened; I can't open notification on the lockscreen with the fingerprint reader, only with the pattern/pin.
I open my notifications constantly because of my job and using the fingerprint reader has proven to be a valuable time saver, is there any AOSP rom that offers this function?
thank you

Hi, I'm looking for a Rom that has an option to disable proximity sensor when using fingerprint sensor of double tap to wake. The only ROMs that I tested that have this option are lineageos and Omni, however Los doesn't have OMS and omni has alert slider broken so I'm temporally looking for alternatives
For those who have the fingerprint "tap" issues with the latest LineageMix6fix.zip https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4088809&d=1490490520 for Unofficial Mi MIX Lineage 14.1.
You can temporarily fix this issue with Fingerprint Quick Actions App. Install the app and select the "Single Tap" option and choose another action to apply that is less annoying when you randomly touch the sensor. Below is a link to download the app.

Hey all,
I have bought the Mi8 Dipper and would like to know if the fingerprint sensor is more then just reading fingerprint.
For example lots of device has fingerprint gestures.
Something like sliding down opens qs panel sliding up opens something else sliding to right and left for switching pictures in gallery.
I can't find any settings for that in latest Miui 10 EU ROM ... so is it just Miui or doesnt it even have the ability for that.
thx in advance.

To my knowledge the only other fancy thing than read fingerprints so to double as a camera shutter button, but that's about it. Though that being said, as I understood all fingerprint reader gestures are just software so should be impossible to get modded maybe?
There are apps on Google Play to do this. I was able to use the finger print sensor as back-button but it stopped working after a while and I couldn't get it working again.
It's finally here and you can now download it! Stable Android 11 on Realme X2. FIRST IMPRESSIONS AND REVIEW
Credits to @dev_harsh1998 for the hard work and dedication in bringing the first stable Android 11 Rom barely 5 days that it was released by Google to Pixel devices and now it has been also publicly released with source.
Okay, now that I am through with the formalities, let's check out what's new with Android 11.
What's New?
There is no complete UI overhaul from Android 10 but there are plenty UI changes that are so pleasing to the eyes like the new power off interface, notification arrangements, Bubbles and lots more.
The power menu has been revamped (see screenshot below) and is now more useful than ever. You can now add all kinds of controls in the power menu and even full screen cat games...
Notifications have been completely transformed with system wide notification bubble.
All new built in Screen Recorder that can record system's internal Audio and mic.
Super enhanced privacy settings with new One time only permission
There is so much to Get you excited about the new Android 11
PERFORMANCE
The Android 11 user interface is so smooth, you'll probably get emotional attached to the experience.
Everything is so smooth and the animations are just fun. Switching apps, opening apps, playing games etc.
BATTERY LIFE
Battery backup is good, a little bit better than what I get in Android 10 probably because I haven't installed over 120 apps... ? Idle and background apps battery consumption was also great.
What's Working
Boots
RIL (Calls, SMS)
Mobile data
Bluetooth
WiFi/hotspot
VoLTE, VoWiFi
Media (audio/video)
Camera(s) all lenses
Camcorder
GPS
OnScreen Fingerprint sensor (FOD)

There is no magisk yet so you might have to experience life without root on Android for some time before magisk for Android 11 will be released so,
What are you for see it for yourself and possibly flash
IT
Check out the Android 11 (AOSP) Realme X2 XDA thread here
For flashing instructions and download links.
Thanks for the detailed review. Will try this out once stable magisk for android 11 rolls out as I cannot live without root on my device.
Hi everyone,
Android 12 introduced a feature called "Dim Screen" which allows you to further reduce your brightness than lowest possible on brightness slider, but it is missing from MIUI 13.0.4.0 Global Update for RN10 plus. Is there a way to access this feature. I'm asking because apps like Night Screen or Night Owl, which I used to rely on before dont work on Android 12. You cannot interact with UI if any app is "displaying over other apps". I really need much lower brightness at night and its became a hassle.
Anyone knows the solution?
If you're rooted, you can use cf.Lumen on the A12 MIUI ROM. It doesn't seem to have any issues with displaying over other apps, and it's a great app, one of the best of this kind, because it doesn't just put an overlay on the screen, it directly affects color channels.
Without root, I think I remember Twilight causing no issues like that on A12.
I doubt the dimming feature is accessible in MIUI, given that MIUI handles brightness quite differently.

In ancient looks like this:
Same here. On the Xiaomi 12X the extra dim feature is not avaiable. Latest global 13.02
Download the apps called MIUI downloader from Playstore, there was a tab called hid. Features and you will find the extra dim feature there.
Just activate it and it will be shown in control center toggle also
