Hello!
I found cheap milestone for sell, but it was blocked by operator (could be stolen, I don't know, the seller says it's because the guy who selled him had an obligation) now I wonder if I buy it can I unblock it? and use it normaly?
only CDMA phones can have bad ESN, so you are most likely looking at a CDMA Milestone (like Telos one).
if that's really what you need, it can't be unlocked but it can be flashed to a different CDMA carrier and should work fine.

no it's a gsm phone the seller says it was blocked after some time he used it... now he is selling it for cheap price because he cannot use it, I'm not sure if it got bad ESN, but it's blocked as I understood from his words, and not for sim as it seems?
If it is gsm and it's locked out, it could be locked out using it's IMEI number which cannot be changed by flashing rom.

so if it's stolen as I guess (even though he says it was blocked because the owner didn't pay the bills) where I will get the IMEI unlock code

What?
I think you misunderstand what an unlock code is. A subsidy unlock code will allow you to use the phone on a different network by switching the sim. This will NOT allow you to unlock a banned IMEI on the same network.
If you want an unlock code, i have had very good service from www.gsmliberty.net.
If you are hoping to stay on the same network, there is nothing you can do to change the IMEI and are out of luck.

well is it possible to change imei? and how will I know which one to choose? also can I use imei from another phone that I'm not using? or it supposed to be motorola milestone one?
it is not possible to (legally) change the IMEI as far as I know.
if it was, that would open thousands of possibilities of fraud, even identity theft in some cases.
for example, many apps, providers, etc. link your IMEI to your bills.
see why that would be bad?
i get from your posts that you didn´t buy the phone yet?
i would advise you NOT TO BUY IT.
it sounds VERY fishy.
thanks, probably I won't buy it even though it costs 60$
Hi, i will travel to Turkey for several month, if you didnt buy the Phone in Turkey the carriers will block your phone after 1 month of using it,
you have to pay $100 to register you IMEI to Turkish carriers, its a waste of money since i already bought an HTC One Unlocked version,
click this link to understand if you didnt, http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/details/Communications/registration.html
so here is my problem, if i changed my IMEI to another phone's IMEI will i be able to use the phone there ? and if so is it safe to do it ?
will i Brick my phone or harm anything?
if you have another solution please tell me because i need HTC One for navigation in Turkey i cant go without it, and i certainly DONT want to pay $100 just for being able to use a FREE GSM carrier.
Thanks

In this country (UK) and a lot of others changing the IMEI number is illegal !
Additionally the IMEI is usually hard coded to your device and cannot be changed anyway.

its actually possible, just google it (or Bing it) there are lots of ways to do it
And discussing things like this is not allowed on here...
The act of changing IMEI is illegal, so discussion of changing IMEI is forbidden. Thread closed.
Is it possible to unlock Samsung SM-G900A - from AT&T and use different sim card in another county
I have the same doubt. Any way?

I'm not sure, but maybe you can ask the AT&T customer care to give you the unlock code as well as the method to do it.
That's what I tried for my S2 and S3. I had them under contract. And if you buy it without contract, shouldn't it be unlocked already? Just curious!
I'll ask about the unlock process to AT&T tomorrow and let you know if the same trick works or not
Unless I'm not mistaken, you are not talking about rooting the device already, are you!
If you ever want to modify your phone, I recommend returning during your 14 day trial period. Otherwise, you will be stuck with a worthless piece of junk. Although nobody has verified this yet, the SM-G900T (tmobile) appears to support the same bands but I need someone to test with a ATT SIM
I want to root the phone because it may be blacklisted by at&t
I unlocked mine whit Swift Unlock.
The T-Mobile version (SM-G900T) supports all of the frequencies of AT&T, plus WCDMA 1700 MHz. Additionally, it's the only variant with an unlocked bootloader. I know people using it on AT&T.

That question makes no sense. By "bootloader unlocked", I mean that the T-Mobile version is the only variant that lets you flash anything without stopping you (e.g. custom ROM, custom recovery, custom kernel). Depending on what you flash, you will trip Knox though.

Blacklisting means the phone is lost, stolen or was not paid for completely. That means you can't use it on AT&T, and on any carriers that enforce a blacklist (most do in the US). It has nothing to do with custom ROMs or root.

I think what he is trying to say is, in the case I have a blacklisted non-unlocked SM G900A, is there a way possible to use this phone with another SIM under a non US based carrier in a different country. Also what he is wondering is maybe this is possible through rooting? if not is there any way that this can be done if yes please help... Thank you for all the feedback!
I don't think there's a way to do it through root. AT&T won't help you because it's blacklisted. You would need an eBay unlock service or something along those lines.

I think MobileTechVideos.com is the final solution.
They are an affordable service with great solutions to mostly everything.
Press the thanks button if this helped you :good:
no......and there is not a service that can "repair" the IMEI either......I "repair" IMEI quite a bit with a JTAG and the software will not work until there is a root available. You can however sell it in another country and it won't matter that it is blacklisted in the US. Unlocking the phone or rooting it won't do you any good in the US anyway since all companies have a joined blacklist now. If it's bad on one it's bad on all.
I unlocked my phone with this http://www.getunlocked.com/ page and it worked, Thanks for atantion
Yes it works

I can verify the Att sim does in fact work with the "SM-G900T". I recently sim unlocked via "theunlockingcompany_._com" Worked perfect.
I purchased my phone outright And an AT&T agent gave me my unlock code right away with no questions asked. Was very simple. ..I might have gotten lucky though. Just saying
can i unlock
Hello.i have a brand new SM G900A FROM AT&T.but i want to use another carriers sim.please help.i need this phone for work..so i could really use some good advise..thanks
I bought Galaxy S8 on Ebay. It turned out that he was on the blacklist. Is there any solution for unlocking the SIM card. I'm outside the US ...
IMEI repair.
IMEI repair is not even an option for this model, because it need the device to be ROOTED. However, there is another option you can try. I never try this my self, you should try IMEI cleaning service, it's not like imei repair, it just remove the blockage, and you still be able to have the original IMEI ( i don't think you can use it on the same carrier). Word of advise, never buy new release carrier phone on ebay, mostly because of scam like that.

Will device unlock app work when imei is cleaned or whitelisted or repaired? Do you have specific knowledge on this issue? Sim unlock on Tmobile has been a pain since like 2 months ago. Nobody able to offer service again except Tmobile.

I was worse off, I bought the device from a user that was unlocked from T-mobile. Assumed unlocked = bills paid (yeah I know, stupid me). Worked for a little bit on AT&T and then the phone notified me that it was only a temporary unlock (didn't even know this existed), relocked itself, and also was blacklisted (on T-mobile). There's a service here that seems to have good reviews but of course a little to rich for me right now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Mobile-Un...446916?hash=item41ca551184:g:gLoAAOSw8GtZOww8

S8 T-Mobile blacklisted
So, did anybody found the way to unlock the Samsung s8 tmobile blacklisted??? :crying:
So T-mobiles policy is if the phone is not paid off an account goes past due - gets canceled not paid or reported lost or stolen or if not traded back in from warranty or insurance then it is blacklisted..... just so everyone is aware. If that phone is blacklisted it is likely one of those things I would like to point out eBay has buyer protection in place for that you can contact them if the seller doesn't rectify it firs. Also to the people suggesting IMEI Repair for no nefarious purpose, of course, you would likely need a bootloader unlock and proper root to even do that.
do a search on the web for R-SIM 11
I know it can unlocked blacklisted iphones, not sure it is works on android devices
Blacklisted
Does anyone know what function needs to be turned off for the blacklist to be undone, i have found the phone code that gets me into that part of the phone i just dont know what part i need to turn off to undo the block anyone know that by chance.
unlock s8
hi,
i bought an s8 from ebay, it was at first working w/ mint (which runs on t-mobile) but when i took it outside of the US, it wouldn't work. i contacted T-Force & was told that the imei was clean but needed to talk to accounting or some other dept to see if it had a balance to be paid or something which didn't make any sense to me.
if anyone has encountered this situation please let me know how to resolve it, i tried changing the rom but it didn't work.

Could you explain how to ROOT the device. I bought an S8 second hand and tuned up to be blacklisted and google account blocked. I managed to remove google account with odin and combination file but no idea how to clean the imei and unblacklist. Help me to save my £350 purchase. never again second hand but not in the position to buy brand new.:crying:
Many Thanks in advance
Hi,
My wife left her phone on the car and drove off ————— whilst I repair (read totally rebuild) her seriously damaged phone I want to put the SIM into a spare S5 I built up.
This S5 I just built works well but is locked to OPTUS in Australia
I also have a phone locked to Verizon too (USA I guess). It is a 4G LTE Verizon version if that means anything to you.
For some reason the charge port circuit board is specific to each supplier but I can change that to an F international charge port ( pretty easy by just stripping down the phone and replacing that)
How do I remove the lock (do you call it a SIM lock), what software do I need, where do I get it and how do I proceed? The spare phones are blank so I dont care about erasing history or anything .......... but it would be fun to recover all their old photo, text and contact data ......... just because i can and it will teach me something
So how do I crack the Samsung S5 and remove a supplier lock? I just want to run Vodafone New Zealand on it.
Not sure but probably by reflashing a stock Australia open line Firmware? Or a motherboard swap which cost only 15 bucks plus 15 for a new housing from Aliexpress like how I rebuilt mine

Good point and I will do that for some of the parts I have here. However I want to do something today or tomorrow.
So, If I root access the phone do I upload generic S5 software? How would I root the phone? Where would I get that software upgrade and do it?
Do a live-chat with Optus they should be able to unlock free of charge.
