Hi there
like the title of this thread,
i want an application wich allow me to Mirror my android phone screen to another android tablet or tv box
i search on the Play store but i don't find what i need.
so can anyone help me !!!
regards
Samsung devices can do this via SideSync. I went out of my way to get a phone and tablet so I could use the mirror/remote call/file transfer functionality. Recently LG copied this, so if you have an LG phone and tablet you may also be in luck.
You should probably check the list of devices that support the Chromecast, or consider MHL for output of your phone to a television via an adapter cable.
Sent from my Galaxy S5
After long search i think that it's not possible to mirror All the screen of the phone to another android device beacause
it's should be a protocol like ,DLNA or Miracast ... wich is possible with a dongle wifi display.
but i found two applications wich allow us to share content between devices:
1_ the first aplication is Screenshare:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.springdesign.screenshare.browser.server
2_The seconde application is EZcast screeen
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.actionsmicro.ezcastrx
you can watch the video to know how it works
If both devices are rooted you can get full Chromecast functionality (well, mostly. a few things like Netflix don't and likely will never work) using the Cast receiver port that's on this board along with the Xposed module to disable the signature date check on the device that's sending the Cast, works for me.
Thank you but i don't understand very well
can you please explain what shoul i do step by step?
Regards
I can recommend to use my app Screen Stream Mirroring  , here is the free version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobzapp.screenstream.trial
I recommend it not only because I am the developer, but because the app was initially made for this.
You can use VLC for Android as receiver or any other RTSP player.
I will also release very soon a player for Android with good additional features.
Just ask if you have any question.
How it works?? there is no instructions!
please explain step by step what i should do?
Download allcast receiver to your tablet and allcast to your phone.
vnc method (root)
Try droid vnc server from the play store(this requires root access) on the device you want to mirror and get a vnc viewer on the device that you want to connect to the vnc server and this will mirror your screen
hi i owned galaxy note 3 phone and recently just bought galaxy tablet note 10.1.
i want to do this:
i have movie files on my sd card on my phone, but i want to watch the movie on my tablet screen (streaming)
(not swapping the sd card, and if possible using direct wifi or bluetooth only. not transferring the movie file but streaming them).
thanks. both devices has android 4.4.2

search yueye and download two apps called limitless remote and limitless server. The server app will host a server so every devices on the same Lan can pair up with, but you need to root your server device or the display will be blank, the client device which is the controlling side do not require rooting. You can also download a limitless.zip from the original website to install it in any window os, you can even remote control your pc when you host a server there

If you have a quite recent Android version it should use hardware encoding so you should be able to stream any game... up to 60fps since Android 4.4.
You can check in app preferences if hardware encoding is enabled.

I was going to try your app, but the reviews on Playstore are dismal. Possibly the most negative reviews I've ever seen for an app. So I won't bother, because as in most apps, there are dozens more.
You really should consider trashing the app, fixing it (apparently you have an insane number of ads in the free version) and re-releasing it under a different title. Word of mouth, or in this case, thumbs is everything in the dev world.

I just tried the screenshare app on my Samsung Galaxy tab SM-T350 and a cheap little LGL15G. It works perfectly. I only tried it on my home wifi network, but it streams fast, installs easy and best of all, its free with NO ADS

Hello There,
I am looking for someone who has managed to somehow mode their Android phone to mirror the phone's screen directly to Modular Infotainment System (MIB II) of VW Passat B8 (Discovery Pro) WHILE DRIVING.
The new Passat allows to fully mirror screen only when stationary, when in motion it only allows a few certified by VW (useless) apps to work and so people cannot use for example Google Maps or Spotify while driving.
There is an external vendor navigation app available in motion - Sygic. From what I've seen there have been successful attempts to unlock mirroring in motion.
avic411.com/index.php?/topic/81179-full-screen-mirroring-working-in-mirrorlink-s6/
cnet.com/news/unlock-full-android-app-mirroring-on-your-dashboard-with-this-appradio-hack/
To conclude the hardware specs are as following:
Discover Pro (VW MIB II)
Hardware: H41
OS: QNX-6.5.0
Does anyone know something in this subject and can help?
Cheers!
You can use the Video in Motion module to hack the headunit. So you can have screen when driving.
Do you think that would also work with MirrorLink? I thaught it only unlock DVD playback. Maybe it's worth a try...
It should works fine. The module should fake the headunit about the current car speed.
There are Golf 7 / Audi A3 version modules which are MQB platform too. They should works fine with Passat B8.
Just got it worked.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btAVtTa0sAs
buy from ebay here
Hi! Could you please try runnig GoogleMaps for example while driving, or just play around with phone menu during driving...
Sygic is oficialy certified app for MirrorLink and it works fine even in moton with or without cracks/patches/mods
Much appreciate!
Cheers!

Google Maps and Spotify not mirrorlink certificate, only Android Auto.
I know that's why I am looking a bypass to enable Mirroring of the full screen of my mobile phone while driving, not only when stationary. This is possible because I saw it working on devices such as Pioneer, but I would like to run it on VW Discover Pro

Any updates here? I am also looking to get ML working on my MIB II while driving ... :good:
on HTC / sony phones, google maps works.
here is the demo of HTC phones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0cwLQVts4U
But not in Samsung phones.
I have found a solution, presented in this Video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-1umqMJqlw
The devices are available to buy in Poland, probably can be shipped worldwide and are easy to install Plug&Play.
There is also a web page, but you have to use google translate to navigate there.
http://www.sklep.martos.com.pl/nawi...00x480-vw-polo-skoda-fabia-od-2015-p-187.html
Hope it helps anyone looking for a solution, that unfortunately can't be done only by software changes.
The video shows my car The phone in HTC One M8s. It has a great application HTC Car which has Mirrorlink certificate and is a kind of launcher. Using it, you can launch ANY application in Mirrorlink while NOT driving. But then using this app and the unlock adapater that is presented in above video you can use any application whil edriving
So you shoul dtry if HTC Car works with your phone under Mirrorlink and if yes then with this unlock adapter you can run app while driving.
If anyone is interested in unlock adapter pls contact me - I run a company and can sell it with regular invoice. And if run a company having EU VAT ID then I can sell it with no VAT charge!
I have managed to find a workaround for mirroring in Motion only for Samsung Galaxy S6 & S7.
I have put the comment in this movie showing how it works in my car.

Hi Szylton,
Your video is impressive. I have the same discover pro and s7, but when I connect the phone with mirrorlink to the radio I only get few apps avaliable. What do I have to install to get the same full screen on the discover pro?
Many thanks

Hello Chris,
Have you seen the description of the video I've posted. It's all there
You need Car Mode from Samsung Apps, and sometimes Nova Launcher also can do the difference.
Let me know if you understood whats written in the description on YT.

Simon
for me, s5 6.0.1 , this works, https://youtu.be/orR5QX3tJmg

and with lg g4, works non rooted without adjustments. best way to v.i.m. is the hardware adjustment in your v.a.g car, which will cost around 140 euros.
I want to buy a passat variant (2017) with discover media.
I have a phone with cm11 with root.
Will it work too?
Specific to VW only, All you need to do is buy OBDEleven tool an use an application specific to your car to unlock MirrorLink in Motion. No need to have something plugged into you car all the time to spoof speed to the units. They have apps for B7 and B8 with MIB2. Discover Pro and Discover. They did not have an app for my 2017 NMS Passat - but I gave them my cars information and they provided an app right away within the next couple of days.
I have a Galaxy s7. And vehicle type new skoda fabia support android auto. My question , is there a version (No official) of android auto, that support full mirroring or wider variety of popular applications?
AFAIK no alternative AA versions exist, at least for now, and I am not very confident that there will be one in the (near) future.
Anyway, full phone screen mirroring should be supported not by Android Auto, but instead by the head units itself, at least it's so in some models I have seen on the Internet.

thank you for the answer. To the best of my knowledge, automakers install head units that support android auto, Mirrorlink and car play. These programs were produced for road safety, but they do not meet user requirements and therefore are not relevant.
Hi,
Is there a huge demand of an enhanced Android Auto application ? Unfortunately this kind of application would be probably banned from the Playstore.

Automate
This is a alternative
Android auto or Apple car play are stored on the device with the head unit itself essentially being the controller. In no way, are factory units supporting mirroring. Some have HDMI inputs or standard A/V inputs, but you'll need an addition part, such as nav tool or a hardware hack to support video in motion. I'm an automotive installation tech, this stuff I deal with regularly. Probably not the answer you're looking for, but it's the truth.

That is not actually a true alternative to Android Auto OS...
That is a completely different approach... Android Auto is not an app for Android standard...
Automate works on the Android standard OS and therefore requires an Android standard car stereo.
I think this -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-auto-general/xposed-module-aa-t3357867 <- will go in the desired direction - whenever realized...

Hello everyone,
I am planning to get an android carplay ai box in my car, after searching online i saw this item which runs android 11 among other cool features like HDMI port and a remote control which make it versatile to use in places other than the car, like TV box for example! it also has a USB 3.0 port which is way better than using a memory card slot!
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003913043015.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.47bb3c00I5xeKp&mp=1
That being said, it still is a risky thing to just buy it since i have not found any information regarding the software, company or even a decent review!
it says it uses rk3328 with mali 450, is this good enough? and is there any custom firmware that is under active development in the community? that keeps the main features in mind like Android Auto for example
thanks very much in advance!
Would be interesting if it would have a SIM slot, too.

@marchnz these are Android Auto or Carplay units, to be connected via one of them to any OEM radio which supports Android Auto or Carplay. These are no Android head units at all.
Working with Android but complete different thing.
Clearly an alternative to a connected phone, so not supported in this area.
Honestly I have the same one you posted with the YouTube video. Works good with me and I download some of my apps through the browser, downloading the APk files.
