[Q] NHL Gamecenter & TV Out?

Hi all,
I'm interested in acquiring a second hand Galaxy S, and just had one question.
I read somewhere that some apps are not compatible with the TV out functionality of the GS. Does anyone know if the NHL GameCenter app works with TV out (specifically are you able to watch videos and live feeds)?
I've attached the app for your convenience.
If anyone could test this out for me, it'd be much appreciated.
TV-out and your game
It is likely that if you had rooted your GTi9000, the TV-out will not work. The TV out only work with samsung Kies OS. It is not only your game, all other apps will not run if you rooted your phone. Or else the game should run on TV out.

Advice Using Old Tablet as Chromecast "Remote"

I have a rooted and ROM'ed original Kindle Fire that is definitely starting to show it's age but is still somewhat functional. My thought is to turn it into a "remote" for our Chromecast that is laid out to easily find / cast content. Something we can just leave on the table next to the couch. We are cordcutters so it would be especially helpful when we have family in town staying it our house as they sometimes get confused by live TV through an antenna. We already subscribe to Netflix, Hulu Plus, etc and I can use a family member's cable authentication for other apps like WatchESPN, etc. Hopefully the community here can help me out with a few things:
1) Is there a replacement launcher for Android that will work well in this scenario? I suppose I could go with something like Apex Launcher and just customize it to my liking but ideally I would want something that places all the apps in a grid scenario. Bonus points for some kind of integration with Chromecast, or an app that has a widget for playback controls.
2) Any other apps that would help me accomplish this? Remotecast doesn't seem to have a lot of functionality and I can't find any similar apps when searching through the Play Store.
Thanks in advance!

I personally use Dock Folders to organize my shortcuts..
But since you are only using this as a remote why not just put the shortcuts to all the apps on the home screen?
Just about any custom Launcher will allow you to resize the icons if you want...
If you have a home media server of any kind, BubbleUPnP is great.
Shortcuts to YouTube app, Netflix app, Hulu+ app, etc on your desktop would take care of your issue I would think. Do you really need a custom launcher for that?

Navigation on Chromecast?

Hi there!
I have a Chromecast that works very well with YouTube and other supported apps, but I want to know how I can use navigation on Chromecast?
I have my Chromecast connected to the head unit of my car and I want to use Google Maps or Sygic with the Chromecast. Does anyone know how to do it without the mirroring feature? I don't even have a Nexus so it will either take a long time or Google will never release a Google Play update for my phone to support mirroring to the Chromecast.
I don't think you can do it yet.
There's an app named mirrorcast, I think. It's from Koush. Google it.
99.9% of people have a Chromecast hooked up to their TV. I doubt anyone would bother making an app like that. Most people probably don't navigate anywhere from their living room.

Or just mount a tablet on your dash. BAM everything you were trying to get with the CC.
To actually answer the q: try ezcast app as that can throw browser onto chromecast, then use maps or some browser based nav if one exists. Can't think of anything else, as its a non expected use case!

I installed the latest Google Play services app, and I was wondering how I can get the cast button on my Z2?

Making my LG TV working with Google Gome

My LG TV SJ810V doesn't natively support Google Home/Chromecast, is there a way to install it in some ways or make it recognizable by Google Home in someways?
Like I have got many wifi remote control apps that are working with my tv, can't understand why Google Home cannot, even trough that apps.
The TV is a pretty new model and at the moment I have WebOS 5.x
I know that chromecast could be a solution but I hate redundancy cause my TV can already do what a chromecast can do.

The answer is no, you can't. From what i learned, google home only casts to chromecast/android tv/android boxes.

Same here, my webos tv is working well with Netflix and YouTube (and of course lg tv plus), but not with Google Home. This is because Netflix and Youtube support DIAL (which is what the Chromecast is based on).

Question Tabs S8 Ultra - TV Remote

Could someone maybe assist. I received the latest update and everything is working fine. When pulling down from the top on the quick toggles I discovered a quick toggle that says TV Remote. Anyone one else noticed it? When opening it it says searching for devices and just stays searching. Has anyone gotten it to work? I searched in settings for the tv remote, but can't find anything
You have a Samsung TV?
I have 2 Samsung smart tv's
I have figured it out. It's for Android tv's. I have 2 of them and you pair the tablet with the tv and control certain features of the tv

Or use smart thing app. I use that app to use my Samsung phone as a remote for my Samsung TV with tizen OS.
