hey,
yesterday I got my MI8, the bootloader was already unlocked, I did flash twrp and xiaomi.eu rom...
so far so good..
but everytime I do a reboot, there is the ugly bootloader unlocked screen notice...
is there a way to remove it ?
Don't think so. But I don't have that ugly screen on mine, only a small Unlocked text at the bottom on the screen where the Mi-logo is shown.
ok I found out,
that this screen is only in "international versions" of the Mi8 with pre-unlocked bootloader.
When I flash the official global rom (dipper_global_images_V9.5.13.0.OEAMIFA_20180714.0000.00_8.1_global)
the unlocked bootscreen is as usual (just the little "unlocked bootloader" at bottom)
if I flash the xiaomi.eu rom again, the ugly unlocked screen is back.

Mine is a chinese version with pre-unlocked BL and i have this message

How can you say that Chinese version is the international one??? International version is the perfect opposition to Chinese version. International =global.

Xiaomi.eu is based on china rom (not on international).
Maybe we have to report this to xiaomi.eu developers, so they can restore original message...

Wrong, there are always two official versions, chinese and global, global always has all languages, chinese is just CN/EN.
the "international version" is not official from xiaomi, "international" comes from the chinese shops, bootloader is pre-unlocked,
firmware is cn/en and with an international power plug adapter
Well so mine was from bg and I don't have international power plug adapter - version is pure CN. How can I get rid of this bootloader message?

I followed your posts (thanks!) and succesfully installed on my MI8 the EU rom (stable MIUI10). I used latest version of TWRP 3.2.3-0918, from your recomandations.
But first when i unlocked my bootloader my battery was 17%, after that i immediatly installed the rom and it won't boot (stucked at MI logo and powerd by android and 3 dots).
I left the phone to charge 100% and the phone booted with that ugly warning message wich i will try to fix it today doing this
But my problem is that when i put the phone in fastboot mode, i don't have the fastboot logo of bunny, instead of that i have the empty battery logo!!
I also don't have anymore at developer options the option: Verify if your device is unlocked"....do you have it? I believe my bootloader is unlocked if i get that warning message, isn't that so?
The phone is working fine, but i have the 2 problems: that warning message, and the empty battery logo instead of bunny fastboot logo. Can you help me please?

up to 1:49 when my phone suddenly restarted and then this screen appeared: miui can't be installed on this device
And now I am stuck in this infinite loop. Can anyone help?

You locked your Chinese phone with the fake global rom? You can only lock a chinese phone with chinese miui, this is known.

Fastboot ROMs are used to restore soft bricked phones. Hopefully, despite your efforts, your bootloader is still unlocked.
Download a fastboot ROM from here.

In step 5 the options at the bottom of the Mi Flash Tool are set to 'clean all and lock' by default. This will lock the bootloader after flashing the official Chinese ROM. If you want a global ROM, then you do not want to lock the bootloader, you will need to change the option to 'clean all' before installing.
If you have managed to re-lock the bootloader and screw up the phone at the same time, then see this thread and read it all.

I was trying to install global rom in my china stable redmi 6 pro.I unlocked my bootloader and then flash global indian rom .After flashing the rom my device showing this miui version can not be installed.Then i trying to unlock my bootloader again. But then the mi unlocked tool said that wait 30 days you can not unlocked same device ...,.like this type of message...
I want to know
Will it unlocked after 30 days and boot the global indian rom?
Or it will not boot ,then what should i do then?

My friend flashed Indonesian fastboot Rom in indian RN10 Pro Max and locked the Bootloader, now he is trying to add acount and device to unlock it again but if fails everytime.
An error shows "Couldn't add. Device basic data verification failed"
Please see the attached screenshot.
Do you have any clue how to solve the issue?
you were should use only format data not all & relock.
There is three .bat orders:
one with erasing user data.
one with keep user data.
one with format and relock.
In your case you have to unlock it again.
Can't unlock, can't add account and device. Always shows the error mentioned in the post.
I had to abandon my previous xiaomi phone just for this reason. Accidentally locked the bootloader and couldn't unlock it ever. "The find device storage corrupted, your device is unsafe now".
Couldn't add miui account.

You did the same? I mean flashed another region's rom and locked bootloader?
My friend told me that he did the same in his Redmi Note 8 and then re-unlocked and flashed stock regions's rom, it was fine for redmi 8 so he did this in RN10 Pro too.

I actually did worse. I was on non-miui Rom then flashed the Fastboot without unticking the lock option. Guess what though the sensors of my MI5 is all okay nothing works due to wrong persist file.

Could you please share how to flash? since bootloader is locked cant flash anything.
Maybe you did not get my point, we are stuck in another region's ROM with locked bootloader.
Try find Xiaomi repair support center and tell them to help you flash official Indian ROM for you.
You can boot into the system, and the device said it's locked and secure, so it's not hard brick. Should be fine for them to help out, if the warranty is covered under the policy.
Be prepared for data loss, so you need to backup what you want to keep.
Don't tell them you flash a wrong region ROM. Just say the phone seems a bit strange, so want them to help clean flash and update official latest ROM.

Hey bro can you tell me if I want to flash preinstalled region's updated fastboot rom do i need to unlock bootloader? For example currently im on indian miui 12.5.4 and i want to flash indian miui 12.5.8 fastboot rom through mi flash. Do i need to unlock bootloader?

You can try flashing stock with mi flash tool by rebooting to bootloader. Recovery ROM might work even with locked bootloader

You cant flash fastboot ROM with locked bootloader.
I own redmi note 10 pro global. I unlocked the bootloader, installed custom recovery, cuatoms roms. Then i flashed indonesian miui will default option, which locked the bootloader.
I booted the device, added account for unlocked and the same time i rebooted fo fastboot and ran miunlock tool and it just unlocked the bootloader. No7days or 30days error at all.
Now im unlocked and using miui global.
Same thing happend with my friend.
He did the same and faced no issue he is again unlocked lol.

Yes,only for call recording.

I also had this problem when I updated my phone to MIUI 14. My phone was bootloader locked but I was able to unlock the bootloader in the same process.Later I got miui 13

I have unlocked Bootloader mi unlock tool.First took my phone to fastboot option then connected to my PC . After that mi unlock tool opening and my mi account login. And unlock started the process.
