Auto reboot to twrp after install xiaomi.eu rom - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
I flashed the twrp v3.3.1-34 on my mi9 cepheus, it works. Then I wiped data, cache, dalvik, installed the xiaomi.eu latest mi9 android 10 rom(signature verified) and reboot to system, it stuck at the "unlocked" screen and after about one or two minute, it auto reboot to the TWRP recovery which version is 46 (rom build in) .[/B]
reboot or flash the same rom with TWRP v37, v42, v46 lead to the same result.
My android version was 9 and I haven't flash xiaomi.eu rom before.
How can I fix it?
Thank you!

from EU to Official Global MIUI 8?

Hi All,
How Do i keep TWRP and flash MIUI 8 official global stable?
right now, Im stuck at MI logo with no progress dots that we usually see after rebooting to system. TWRP is still accessible though.
what I did is:
1. from TWRP recovery -> wipe dalvik, cache, system, data
2. install/flash MIUI 8 global rom zip from internal storage
3. reboot to recovery (TWRP)
4. from TWRP, reboot to System (to prevent TWRP recovery from being overwritten by stock recovery as others say)
basically, I want to retain my TWRP and use MIUI 8 Official Global rom. I'm coming from EU rom 8.0.10.0.
Also, Is it correct to use the recovery rom and not the fastboot rom?
Thanks in Advance, and will surely hit thanks with any help I can get.
Flash it via fastboot.

Hi,
This seems to be a decryption problem. Have you tried formatting data in TWRP? (you lose all your data including internal storage)
I format internal storage too on TWRP (format all : dalvick, cache, internal, data, and all)
This is my step :
- off mi mix
- go to fastboot
- flash TWRP for mi mix (latest)
- flash (no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip)
- reboot to TWRP
- format all (data, dalvick, cache, internal, vendor, etc)
- plug USB to laptop and copy lineageOS.zip (latest)
- flash lineageOS.zip in TWRP (done, no error)
- reboot and bootloop
If i flash TWRP and don't flash (lineageOS) and don't flash (no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip) = TWRP gone  and mi mix go to auto hard reset but no booploop and i must be setting mi mix from beginning like set language, country, mi account, etc
If i flash (no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip) = bootloop on MI logo
If i flash (no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip) and LineageOS = bootloop on lineage logo
@Spectra13 did you end up figuring out a workaround for this? I had the same issue when I tried to flash lineageOS16 from PixelExperience. I went back to PixelExperience for the time being.

Just Flash (no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.0.zip) in the last step
And problem solved :good:
.
My mistake in the last step is flash (no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip) who is not compatible with mi mix

Redmi K20Pro will only boot to recovery after moving from TWRP wzsx150 to mauronofrio

Hi. I have a chinese K20 Pro and was using the wzsx150 TWRP version and shifted to mauronofrio for the Android Q decryption support but now I am stuck being able to boot only to recovery.
I cannot get my phone to boot system. Tried flashing my current xiaomi.eu 9.8.1 twice to now avail. All files are accessible but for whatever reason, when I try to boot system, I see the redmi icon, goes black for a sec, then the redmi icon again and then recovery
The phone came with fake global rom, unlocked. Flashed xiaomi.eu with bootloader still unlocked. TWRP 3.3.1-2 raphael by mauronofrio

Go to wipe, advance wipe then select cache dalvik system & wipe it. Don't wipe internal storage. Then flash the ROM again. Then again go to wipe and format data. (Will delete all your files) now reboot to system

That is what i ended up doing. Wasn't planning on losing my data for upgrading twrp, but hey that's how it goes.

How to keep phone data encrypted?

I have a K20 pro, with a pre-installed China MIUI 10 ROM.
Following is what I did to flash MIUI 11 EU from what I remembered:
1. Boot to TWRP recovery.
2. Wipe System, Data, Dalvik, Cache
3. Flash MIUI 11 EU Rom
4. Flash no-dm-verity-force-encrypt
Without flashing dm-verity with the 'disable encryption' parameter, my phone would stuck at the boot logo. But after flashing it would make the phone data decrypted, which is invalid to enable in system settings.
What should I do in order to enable encryption in MIUI 11 EU ROM? Thank you!

Fastboot flash MIUI EU
Done
Unless you are taking about Xiaomi.eu ROMs.
In that case you should format data, instead of wiping data when installing it.

Yes, I am talking about xiaomi.eu ROMS. I was not aware of the special installation method, I treated it as a normal custom rom by wiping system, data, dalvik, cache. If I want to re-install xiaomi.eu ROMS again with default encrypted phone data, should I format data and flash it again?
