Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 SM-T810 Bricked with no recovery accesible - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 SM-T810. I used the TWRP Application to flash a recovery image. I used the twrp-3.3.1-0-gts210vewifi.img from the TWRP website.
I switched off the tablet and used power + volume down + home to start in recovery mode but it get stuck on the logo screen. I used power + volume down + home again which made the tablet reboot normaly and launch android without problem. I did this several time and every time the recovery didn't start but i was able to boot android normaly.
Then instead of using the button combinaison to boot in recovery I used a application which provide a menu to choose the reboot mode. Since then, the tablet is unable to boot and stay stuck at the logo screen, the one with "Samsung galaxy tab 2 powered by Android", not the one with the animation. Doing power + volume down + home restart the tablet but it get stuck again.
My theory is that my recovery mode image is not usable and my android system is fine but that the "reboot into recovery" told the tablet to do next boot in recovery and this instruction will not be removed until it succeed.
I tried to let the battery get empty but when I pluged it again it was the same.
Does anyone know how to save this tablet?
Thanks for your help

Keep power + vol down + home held down. It may take several cycles to boot to download mode but it should eventually.
Just dont release any of the keys until download mode pops up.
By the way recovery is VOL up not down.

Thanks. I managed to get to the Download mode. I just needed to keep pressing one second more.
Now I am struggling with Heimdall. To flash the recovery, I follow the instruction on the LineageOS Wiki. I can't put the link because I am a new user.
I used zadig to replace the driver by WinUSB (v6.1.7600.16385) then I use the folllowing command but it always fail.
Code:
$ ./heimdall flash --RECOVERY ./recovery.img --no-reboot
Code:
Heimdall v1.4.0

Problem solved. I reinstalled the official samsung usb driver and I used Odin to flash the recovery image. Unfortunatly I can't post the links of the tutorial I used because I am a new user.

Problem with Download Mode

Long story short, I have the I8190L version of the phone, currently on stock ROM. I got the phone a few weeks ago and I have rooted it right away, there were no problems while rooting, I used the Galaxy S3 mini toolkit and used the "Flash Insecure Boot Image and Root device" option, with SuperSU 1.25. Fast forward to right now, I want to install CyanogenMod, so I went and tried to boot my phone into Download Mode, to try and flash CWM recovery in order to install the Cyanogen ROM, but I simply can't start download mode, when connected to the USB pressing the Vol up + menu + power sequence, the phone just starts normally (The OS will load completely). adb reboot download doesn't work too, vol up + vol down + power and plugging in the usb cable doesn't work.. I did several hard resets and I removed root too, noone of those worked. I don't know if that is relevant, but I installed a patched google play (4.1.10 Chelpus version), I could not find a way to remove that. I can't reroot too because I would need to start my phone in download mode. Anyone knows what is happening?

are you connecting your phone to PC before you go to download-mode???
try this: download-mode (Vol up + Menu + Power) and now connect your device with your computer!
flash CWM or whatever you want...
HTH

That did not work, when it is about to go to download mode it seems that it fails and either boots the OS or just turns off (depends on how much I hold the buttons), and since adb reboot download doesn't work I think something got corrupted (adb finds the device and reboots it, but it just starts up normally).
I'm not sure why, but noone of the articles I read mentioned the actual CORRECT download mode sequence, which is: Volume Down + Home + Power buttons, and then click on Volume Up, it is working now. Thanks.

Well if you looked at the screen you would know what to press after vol down+home+power
oh my God,
you are all right.
i mixed up step one and two of Download-Mode - sorry
first you have to push Vol Down + Menu + Power (few seconds)
start odin as admin
second you connect your device to PC
third you push Vol Up
fourth you flash via Odin.
I often flash ROMs via Odin and / or use CWM so that works automatically ....

[Q] P880 hangs at boot | No S/W update available

Hello,
After rooting my p880, my phone hangs at boot. Just after the boot sound (*pling* ) the phone is hanging. The boot image is still moving.
Things I tried already:
I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723, which tells to do a kdz update. This is not working, as I am not able to get to the S/W upgrade screen. Instead, when I start the phone using the power button + volume down, i get the Android system recovery menu (3e).
I tried to upload a new (cyanogenmod) rom using adb sideload, but that didn't work, as the file I used was damaged (I will retry with new file).
I also did a factory reset and a cache wipe.
Can someone tell me what is best to do?
Kind regards
X-cal

SM-T810 stuck in boot loop, unable to enter in recovery or fast boot

After I tried to backup the device with TWRM, I am now stuck on the boot screen with "samsung galaxy tab s2, powered by android" screen.
I am unable to do anything: turn it off, power + volume up + home or power + volume down + home" nothing actually do anything.
The only think that change something is it to wait battery run out of energy, then the screen turn black but as soon as I plug the charger the same screen "samsung galaxy tab s2, powered by android" come again, I didn't even pushed the power button.
The device was rooted long time ago and was still with the original rom (5.0.1 or 5.1.1 I believe, i am unable to verify).
Any help is welcome!
bump,
I tried removing the back cover, now I can reboot the device more easily just removing the battery connector, before I had to wait the battery run out of power.
I trying the boot the device with the "volume up + home + power botton" pressed.
But still no luck.
Is there a way to boot an alternate rom on the device ?
it turn out that removing the back panel actually disable power or volumes buttons, so putting back the backpanel let the "power + volume down" reboot works, then shortly after doing "volume up + power + home" button let me enter odin mode, now I need a stock rom...
i recovered the device, i just had to install old version of twrp new version did brick the device

SM-T510 BOOT LOOP issue

Hey guys,
So I'm having issues trying to fix my Samsung Tab A 10.1 ( SM-T510 ).
At first I was trying to install a custom TWRP recovery image, and I had a boot loop where it kept getting stuck at the SAMSUNG splash screen(not the initial samsung boot screen that shows TAB A 10.1). I however overcame that issue by factory reseting and through some additional tinkering.
Now the part I'm starting to regret.
I tried once again to flash the custom TWRP to the tablet, but this time I forgot to tick the "autoreboot" setting off.
So ODIN shows a PASS for the flash, but now when the tablet boots its stuck in the following boot sequence:
START:
Initial Samsung boot screen asking to press power button to continue due to unknown boot image source etc
PRESS POWER
SAME INITIAL SAMSUNG BOOT SCREEN minus the power button prompt, lasts for about 3-5 seconds
REBOOT
Now I have managed to get into download mode with the tablet connected to a computer.
I CANNOT get into recovery mode to factory reset the tablet, which was the solution the last go around.
I am starting to think that the only way I am going to get the tablet back in original working order, or any working order for that matter is to:
A: LOCATE original firmware for my device, I believe it is GTAXLWIFI firmware for my device. However the files I have found don't seem to be accepted in ODIN...
B: Try to continue on with the TWRP process, which I have tried to reflash the TWRP recovery that I have, and it shows pass. But, the issue persists.
Any suggestions or help would be amazing!
Thanks!
Timing is the key
Set your finger on position where you gonna restart the device.
Hold power + vol down
After the screen restart switch soon as possible you finger to set to recovery by
Hold vol up + down + insert the USB C cable
Remember timing is the key. I have done this for several tabs that screw on my home so you are welcome bro

I think "restarts" may be confusing. Switch from down to up as soon as the screen turns off.

You can use frija.exe to get the latest stock firmware. To get TWRP you MUST boot to recovery before system. If you allow the tablet to boot to system first, it will overwrite TWRP with the stock recovery. Do this by pressing vol down and power till the screen turns off. As soon as it does, switch from vol down to up while still pressing power and keep holding both till the red warning message appears. You also need to leave the cable attached to the PC while doing this.

HELP!! Samsung Note 9 - Bricked

Unfortunately I flashed a bad Rom to my note superiorOS rom.
As a result the put is stuck on superiorOS boot logo
I cannot with any of the usual key combos get into recovery mode or display the download mode screen.
I have tried to refresh with odin but although with the superiorOS boot logo it shows as connect to odin it will not get past setupconnection.
Any help would be really great.
Thank you in advance

If you're using Note9 you can try the following:
- Connect the usb cable to your pc
- Make sure you have the drivers installed (one way to do this is installing Samsung Dex for Windows)
- Press and Hold the Volume Down + Bixby button + Power Button
- After around 7 seconds, the phone should enter Download Mode and you can flash again with Odin or others
Another thing you can do if you have TWRP is first enter on Download mode, choose Restart and immediately after press and hold Volume Up Button + Power Button and it should enter Recovery Mode and boot TWRP

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately I have tried all of those options and none work. My note 9 connects to the PC when I connect it, and shows as connected in Odin however the screen os stuck on the new roms boot logo. When I try and flash firmware through Odin even if I am using the .pit file odin get stuck at setupconnection.
