Question Custom recovery question - TWRP for Mi 11

How long does it usually takes to develop such a recovery for a flagship device? I mean, I think we all agree that it will definitely come out at some point, however this device has been released in December 2020, that is, 6 months and nothing so far. I'm wondering what folks at Orange Fox might have been busy with, don't you?

Easily the worst flagship of the year so not a surprise that nobody cares about it.

Someone just released an alpha of TWRP for the Poco F3 so hopefully that's a good sign for something to come to the Mi 11.

AFAIK the problem is not the model but Android 11 with its new security features. But they should be on a good way.

I've been using 1+8Pro before and there was no issue with TWRP recovery :-/

Probably not..

From the Xiaomi eu website, it's been privately released. Hopefully it will be publicly released soon.

Question Indian latest offical 12.5 rom to global device.

I am currently on my offical rom (MIUI 12.0.16) European global. Is there any risk in installing latest 12.5 sweetin rom in my (sweet) device.

It should works, but not tested yet.

I am installed. No problem, all them working.

1. install orangefox recovery.
2. format data and reboot recovery
3. copy rom to your phone. Or use microsd card
4. install zip file and reboot

Question Amazon Prime Video Mi 11

Hey guys so I'm using Mi 11 Global version and Prime video works only in SD, no HD, or Full HD. so wondering does Prime Video works in Full HD(1080p) on eu models?
I wonder same for Mi 11 Ultra too.

I was about to post about this, I have the same issue, Mi 11 12.5.2.

My Phone have Global ROM by default so far no conversions are being made. I've tried yesterday to unlock boot loader but it said 168hrs so waiting on that one

I'm on Mi 11 12.5.3

I'm on 12.5.9 global and I can only watch SD.
I assume that mi 11 is not prime video certified yet.

It's a issue from Amazon.
The MI 11 have widevine L1 support but Amazon doesn't allow us to stream in HD.

I have HD on 12.5.9 global.

Just look at indicative data usage - 3x yours And I have "HD" indicator in player.

I deleted all even the app and now it works on HD. 1.82 GB/hr

Blocked by who and why? Using Global version on 12.5.9 firmware no root/modifications done on the OS whatsoever.

Question How to downgrade MIUI 12.5 to MIUI 12

Hi. I have Redmi 9T with, you know, horribly optimized MIUI 12.5.12. With MIUI 12, phone was wery smooth, but after 12.5 everything changed. So, I tried to downgrade it to MIUI 12 via updater app but that is officially unsupported. What can I do? Is it worth to wait more for long awaited MIUI 13, or go back to 12 (with flashing, or fastbooting, I don't know that well)? And if I'll do flashing, can I do without backup and in-phone data and media loss? There should be a solution.

The bootloader must be Unlocked.

There's a way without unlocking the bootloader....Thry the rename method.works just fine. Downgraded to miui 12.0.12 from 12.5.9 this morning

If you use a Xiaomi Eu rom the bootloader is unlocked..
But maybe you are talking about EEA stock rom, to change version see:

So I can download the .zip file (Flashtool FULL ROM) and not Recovery from the Xiaomi site, copy it to the sd and flash it with OF? Is this just enough? The phone is not encrypted and I am also unrooting it. Thank you so much. Sorry but I'm a newbie.

Yep,O.F/TWRP
wipe/format data type yes reboot recovery/flash rom.
But I advise you to use Mi Flash with a Fastboot rom (TGZ, contains all imgs).
Alternative without Miflash: use the flash file all.bat from the folder extracted from the fastboot rom, with a PC.

ZD bro , I stumbled across this site by accident. In short, the MIUI 13 update has arrived and the phone has been fixed, it almost doesn't freeze anymore and it doesn't need to be updated to 12 anymore. When Android 14 comes out, I'll install it somehow, or I'll be stuck . Thank you for the offer, I didn't think I would meet a Georgian on this site 🤝🏻.

It's Leos 20 GSI.. He seems to have sometimes some lags
