Since i've update my SGS to android froyo the Proximity sensor stoped working and the position sensor taken 30sec to turn the image...
I've used the test mode code to check hardware error, but there everything is working perfectly...
If I put the Android 2.1 the problem doesn't show up.
Does anyone have the same problem or solution?
Nobody has this issue?
Is quite strange... because if i put a Android 2.1 ROM everything works just fine, but with later version of android the sensors still working (using test mode from SGS Tools, I confirmed that the sensors are just fine), but the system takes a huge time (~30sec) to do something...
Please, if anyone knows anything that could solve this problem, please say something!
I think that in the first week that I had Froyo everything warked fine, but I'm not sure...
Is there any way to do a complete reset and set everything to default values including Hardware settings?
I've already done Factory reset and Full factory reset, by CWM and Code.
Nobody??? Anything???
Is this a genuine samsung rom you are using .
A flashed rom or a genuine Kies updated firmware .
jje
I'm now using a ROM official (sam***gfirmwares.co*) flashed by ODIN.
Should I try use Kies?
No i was just trying to rule out a flakey rom .
My usual suggestion is a wipe via ODIN
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=882014
But i would stop at Eclair and see if its solved the problem if OK upgrade further .
jje
Its the same thing...
Its quite awkward, because only apendds in Froyo...
why not try a custom froyo rom, head over to doc's kitchen and cook yourself one up. also try lagfix, and any other speed up tweaks. how does the phone respond normally ?? without the sensors ? is it quite speedy or does it lag ??
The phone work just fine but when i turn the phone it take a lot of time to twist the image... I can even still interact with the screen until it turns...
The proximity sensor takes a lot of time too...
No one else has this problem?
I have been using some custom rom's around here, Doc's and some Darky's and they were perfectly fine.
Some days ago, I started the SGS Tools application, and got to the "Secret codes".
I was just curious about it, and I got into the "Touch key firmware version"
So there was 2 options, to upgrade the Touch key, or the touch screen.
I pressed the touch key, and then the screen said "PASS" and boom !
The touch keys stopped working.
I tried everything, wipe all, flashing back to 2.1, then back to Darky's, and Darky's Odin. Nothing is working.
It's a driver problem as it seems, can anyone, anyone please help me?
Thanks, I will be so greatful!
I came across a thread in another forum that discussed this touch key problem while I was trying to flash Darky's 9.2. You will need to flash to a stock rom. While in stock, go to your dialer and type the following:
*#*#2663#*#*
Then click Touch key FW update.
The touch keys become unresponsive if you try to update the firmware after a kernel change other than stock. Hope this helps.

Hey mate.
Thanks alot! but it doesnt work.
I flashed about 3 rom's. 2.1 rom, original from my country 2.2 rom,
and allways did fw update, but none working.
What can I do?!?
Did you do a complete clean install of your stock rom? What I mean by that is you wipe data/factory reset before and after you flashed your phone's stock rom. As the guide I linked utilized a carrier stock 2.2 rom, try flashing the carrier stock 2.2 for your phone. Wipe data/factory reset in recovery mode, and try the firmware update again via dialer *#*#2663#*#* and select "Touch key FW update" . Reboot your phone.
I have the Bell Mobility I9000M model, as the guide is intended for, but it should work on the international version as well (I'm assuming you are from Asia or Europe?)
Hopefully your touch key issue will get resolved, if not by me, then someone else with more expertise in this forum.
Yes, I have tried all those, but nothng helps.
Someone can help please? thx
help please?

Lot's here got this problem, please if someone know's how to fix the problem, please help us all. I tried all, I tried any 2.1,2.2,2.3 rom out there, the JM9 [that shouldve fixed my problem] but non helps.
I finally managed to solve the issue by reflashing to a stock 2.2.1 and using the ##code thingy.

The ROM in question was: I9000UGJH2
Sorry, I had to get home to look this up as I only used this ROM to solve the issue and went straight back to Darky 9.3.
I hope this helps

man
thanks you
so much, I really dont know how to thank you.
I will open a thread that will explain to all that this problem happend to them too.
THANKS!
Ditto, I had the same problem, bought the phone from a guy and it already had a custom firmware on it. I screwed up the menu and back keys by upgrading the touch key firmware.
I eventually found this thread, upgraded (or rather rolled back) to the original firmware (in my case I9000UGJL2) and re-applied the touch keys firmware upgrade and voila now my keys work again after a month or two of pulling hair.
nice work and lots of thanks
After a painstakingly long search (upwards of 5 hours, gee thanks SOPA) I finally got ahold of original firmware, flashed and followed the post, worked great Thx! BTW this was for a Canadian Bell GT-I9000M, which I flashed to KC1 to get to work if anybody has similar original firmware finding issues, (took a few trial and errors)
I have the same problem on my galaxy mini, anybody know a galaxy Rom that fix my problem?
when I touch the screen or use swype the touch is not recognised properly and it jumps around quite a bit.
Dont know why its happening but im on 2.3.3 rom and I did install the with bootloader version.
Been working fine since this morning but its getting more and more tempremental and I havent made any changes either.
Anyone know what could be wrong?
you'd better flash to any froyo rom,if the issue is still happen, your phone may have a hardware problem
Factory reset first .

touch screen on milestone stopped working right after downgrade from CM7 to 2.1 or even 2.2 and now when i try to go back to cm7 i get this weird bootloop
I've got a similar issue, but not permanently. I'm using stock froyo and for some reason touchscreen is not working or working improperly after turning on screen from lock. I need to wait a couple of seconds, turn on the screen once more and most of the time it's fine. Any advice?
both of you,
format your SD CARD/PARTIONS when you are downgrading.
some files from previous ROMS can be affecting the STOCK ROM functionality when it starts fresh after fresh install.
happened to me a couple a times,
just reinstalling (properly) solves this issue.
Hi all,
Xiaomi Mi11 running the latest software and having accelerometer issues.
The phone thinks it's upright when my phone is on its side (landscape) so when the phone is upright my apps want to rotate.
I've tried CIT and calibration but it's not helped. is this a known issue?
I had no issues until I tried out pixel experience ROM, didn't like it so flashed the original ROM back on. I've tried several different versions of the stock ROM and still had issues.
Additional note. I got the correct stock ROM from the Xiaomi website and flashed it using their tool using full clean and flash m
