I set a gesture to open the camera quickly. Just every time I still need to input my fingerprint or pattern to unlock the screen, it is really a little bit annoying. How to avoid this. Thank you very much!

Hi guys, i'm trying to use the fingerprint scanner but it seems after the first time i enable it and use it, it disables itself when i lock the screen again and try to use it. So after the first time it works fine, but then when i lock and try to unlock again it asks me to "swipe to unlock" rather than use the fingerprint scanner. so ultimately it changes to swipe unlock after the first time using the fingerprint sensor upon activating it in settings....is this an issue? im a samsung noobie btw
Did you adjust the security lock time out under the lock screen settings after you enabled the fingerprint lock?

goddamn it....secured lock time was set to 30 minutes
I figured it out! thanks for the heads up!
When I use Quick Capture while the phone is locked (the twisting motion), then take a picture, and swipe to view it, I get dropped to the lock screen. I did a factory reset and the problem persists. I don't have any security set up; I use swipe only.
When I use the hotspot to go to the camera from the lock screen, I don't have this problem.
Has anyone run into this or know of a fix?
Just swipe up and your picture is there. Easy. If it bothers you that much, select none for security. Not like you have any with the swipe anyway. Good luck.

It bothers me, and I don't want to disable the lock screen entirely. I understand that's a workaround, but it's worse than the bug itself.
It is not a bug, it is intended. Else you would be blowing security all the way apart, more than google already did on lollipop.
There is no security. It didn't work that way before Lollipop, nor did it work that way on the original Moto X.
It makes sense if you have a password or lock code, but I do not. It actually displays the picture for a half second before dropping to the lock screen.
The iPhone actually handles this in a clever way when you have a lock code: by only allowing you to see the pictures you've taken since you last unlocked. I'm not sure what Android does if you have a lock code, but I don't have one.
It's definitely a bug.
Hi friends. Just got this wonderful device and decided to unlock it.
After unlocking I'm not sure if it's me but there seems to be a delay in touching an icon and it activating. For example, I press the app drawer icon from Nova Launcher and it takes about a 0.5 second delay before it actually triggers and opens. Am I simply noticing a delay which was always there? The delay is also present when inputting the pin in the lock screen.
Also I am now unable to activate the mini screen feature that normally activates when I swipe to the soft nav buttons.
So two problems I've noticed since unlocking the bootloader. Will greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!
Update: OK the delay somehow disappeared. Response is pretty snappy right now. All I did was uninstall and install new apps
Update2: OK what; even the mini screen swiping on nav bar gesture works again. Not sure what happened but all issues have been resolved
Hello to the community,
I have the following problem with my P10. When I am in an app and I touch the fingerprint scanner the phone goes to the launch screen (exit from the app). I think this happens after update b180. The fingerprint scanner works like the software circle button when I am in an app. How to deactivate that function?
Thank you!
I don't think you can turn it off. But I agree, it's annoying. Somebody thought it's super useful and they just had to put it there.
That happens after b180; in b151 didn't exist;
Nice. i actually want this behaviour. would prefer that i could use the fingerprint scanner "one button" option at the same time navigation bar is activated though.
Hey guys, I'm wondering, does anybody knows how to remove unnecessary swipe on the lock screen after the face has been recognized.
I'm running 9.0 stable and face recognition works but it's really annoying to swipe up every time after the scan.
Thanks
It is smartlock and it works like this. You can not do anything . Nokia said they are implementing face unlock and for some time the China variant had it but now it was removed.
I read that some where it has been rejected over patent
"Face unlock"
